Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

Chapter Five

Dawn Pov.

"You don't want me as an enemy, bitch" she growled lowly and I leaned a bit closer to her.

"Maybe I do." A memory rose in my head and I discovered that this particular woman was none other than the daughter of the king of this whole realm.

Like an emperor but more powerful. She had always steered clear of the previous owner of this body so I didn't understand why she was here now to instigate my ire.

If she wanted me to get annoyed, she was failing… so damn hard.

"You have some nerve talking to me that way," she began, her eyes devoid of any emotion and I smirked in amusement.

"You're stupid, possibly foolish too. That bitch sent you to cause a fight with me and you listened all because you want to fit in with her group" she was momentarily stunned by my words, and I knew my suspicions had been true this time.

Taking advantage of her momentarily loss of speech, I continued. "You're a princess, shouldn't you be higher in rank than her? Should you be the one to go to her or should she be the one to come to you?"

"None of your business!" She exclaimed, the sound whiny as she swirled on her feet and rushed away with her meowing cat.

"You made another enemy? How devastating." Rae Rae sighed inside of me, her leopard face making me almost bend over on laughter.

"Come on, we have to get to that combat class before we receive another detention," I said and gave one last glance to the beast behind me.

It stared right back into my eyes with an intense gaze that made me shiver. I cocked an eyebrow at its gaze and a flash of intelligence crossed its azure eyes and disappeared as soon as it arrived before I could properly detect it.

That was odd.

I shook it off and began on the path that led to combat lessons, a class the original owner had been failing quite a lot.

I had to keep up with it or there would be suspicions that I would have a hard time dousing away.

"Rae Rae." I called out and she hummed, her eyes closed. "Why did my fox double in size?" I asked and her eyes lazily opened.

"Perhaps it's due to the fact that you're purple? Or stronger now? Or just slowly getting to the right shape you should be at? How am I supposed to know?" she said, sarcasm dripping off each word and my mouth twitched as she turned her ass to me and continued her nap.

Stupid system.

"Oh, reminds me. You received some rewards during your battle last night and the one for this morning." She raised her head to inform me and I stopped briefly before continuing, excitement making me smile.

"Okay, show me," I said, my steps getting lighter as we walked and immediately, four square boxes floated above her. Each of them was marked with different unique patterns that made me want to trace each line until I discovered what they were.

They swelled then blew open and my jaw dropped.

"Received one beauty pill, one beauty pill, one energy refill pill and two healing pills." The system beeped over and over again, each one of them sounding useless to my ears.

"Just that?" I asked but she gave me no response and I huffed, stumping my foot into the grass as I made my way into the large field meant for the combat class.

There were so many students there and as soon as they saw me coming, each of them began to whisper, laugh and point fingers at me.

With the original owner's memory, this seemed normal but I disliked such an attitude. Not that there was much that I could do to stop it anyway.

My spine straightened up as I walked past them to go stand in the front, just a few paces away from the instructor.

He gave me a kind smile that I tried to return but my face felt incredibly tight and my smile came out more of a grimace than a smile.

Kudos to the effort right?

"Alright. Since we're all complete now, we will begin with archery lessons. Anyone who falls behind will suffer detention." Ahh, no wonder Athena had so many detention memories where she was always bullied even when she had told everyone she was a noble.

They didn't believe her but still, they held fear for nobles so I thought it wouldn't be said to her face much.

Unless it were those vixens. Now, memory stood out to me perfectly.

Once the original owner had been in the detention center alone, always cleaning and stuff like that and this guy had come to her.

He had easily caught her and tried molesting her, even going as far as to grab and squeeze her boobs but she had narrowly escaped his hands before anything could go further.

But, she never retaliated, which wasn't right. But now, I was here and I would make him suffer the consequences of being a scumbag.

"Pick a bow and an arrow quiver and proceed with the instructions already given to you in our last class," he said, his voice lilting as he stared at every one of them and I nodded.

Not like I recalled what instructions he gave but I knew my weapons and a simple bow and arrow was an easy feat for me to accomplish.

Time to make some trouble.

"And what do you think you're doing with that?" A familiar voice reached my ears and I gave an evil laugh internally as I perused the bows there.

"Picking a bow, what else?" I fired back, not even glancing up at all as I picked a bow and checked it over.

"Funny…. Do you even know how to fire a bow?" She asked again, picking up one from my left and taking a quiver with her and I smirked.

"Is that a challenge?" I asked instead of responding and her eyes flashed mischievously, killing intent clear as day in them.

"If you even get a bullseye once, I'd kneel down and cut off my hands to never shoot again," she said and I winced.

"That's not necessary, just give me that building in block A." That building was one that was given to her by her parents. They had wanted her to make use of it but it had been sitting there for years now, unused.

And from what I had deduced from it, if I were to put that money into good use to avoid spending it all in this harsh place where a dollar was worth nothing, I had to make proper use of this student environment.

The weather was hot so I could exchange with the system for ice and make them iced tea, iced milk tea, iced beers, iced sweets, and where else than a place filled with noble kids and obnoxious commoners.

"Deal," she instantly said and I almost jumped with glee at her stupidity but I forced myself to remain outwardly calm to avoid suspicion.

"And if you lose which of course you will, I want you to kneel down and say the truth about how much of a liar you have been," she said, pretty pleased with herself and I nodded with a shrug.

"Deal, do we shake on it or slice our hands to sea-"

"No, eww." Her face paled in disgust and I withdrew my hands.
