Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Necromancer

Daisy saw Aiden hesitating and said impatiently, "Hurry up, this guy is already dead. There's no danger."

No danger?

Aiden snorted. If there was no danger, why did this woman make him go first?

He had no way back now, so he had to go forward bravely.

Plus, he could feel there was something valuable here. With The Hundred Lives Book, he wasn't afraid of death.

Aiden watched his surroundings carefully and stepped closer to the cloaked man.

The man was sitting cross-legged, eyes closed, completely still. He was clearly dead.

"Quick, check if he has anything on him." Daisy's voice came from behind, excited and eager.

Aiden nodded and bravely searched the man's body.

He looked down and saw the man's face. His skin was dry and wrinkled, like a dried-up corpse. Maybe he was also cursed by the Ghost Spear.

Aiden found two things in the man's pocket: a notebook and a dark black pearl. It gave off evil and weird energy.

Necromancer's Notebook.

Aiden saw the name of the notebook in his hands. It was clearly a necromancer's study book.

Necromancers were evil and powerful, but their ways were cruel and not accepted by people.

Especially in the Oracle Kingdom, where they believed in the God of Light.

He was a little hesitant. Should he use The Hundred Lives Book and take these two things for himself?

"Hey, what did you find? Hand it over." Daisy's voice came again. She was behind Aiden and couldn't see what he had.

Aiden finally gave up. Becoming a necromancer needed special necromancer talent.

And even if he used The Hundred Lives Book, he wasn't sure he could escape this place.

"Give it here!" Two soldiers confirmed there was no danger and rushed forward to grab the items from his hands and give them to Daisy.

"It's really the Necromancer's Notebook and the Soul Pearl!"

Daisy was excited and her face turned red. Without hesitation, she swallowed the weird and evil pearl.

Could this thing be eaten directly?

Aiden was surprised, then he thought of something. Was this Daisy princess a necromancer?

The princess of the Oracle Kingdom, a dark necromancer? If this got out, it would cause a big problem in the kingdom.

At that moment, Daisy's body gave off weird energy and was full of strong soul power.

"Damn, this bastard tricked me." she muttered under her breath, her eyebrows slightly furrowed and very angry.

It seemed the Soul Pearl had something done to it.

Aiden was relieved he didn't take those two things for himself.

Then Daisy looked at him, and her face showed a smile, even more beautiful.

But Aiden felt a chill in his heart.

Daisy spoke softly, "You helped me find these two things. I should thank you properly."

Aiden swallowed his saliva. Did he get to be a noble?

He hadn't even had time to speak when Daisy continued, "But you found out my secret. So these commoners should all die."

Suddenly!

Blood splashed, and some commoners were still happy. The next moment, they were already lying in a pool of blood.

Aiden was ready and rolled to the side, avoiding the soldier's deadly slash.

"Betrayal!" He was angry in his heart. They had risked their lives to help Princess Daisy, and this was the end.

He had already decided to use The Hundred Lives Book again to take these items for himself.

But before that, he wanted these scummy guys to pay some price.

A strong energy wave, and a black, thick spear appeared in Aiden's hands.

It was Ghost Spear.

At that moment, the spear felt as light as nothing in his hand, and it was like it was connected to him. He could control it like it was part of his body.

He thrust the spear forward, and a cold light flashed. It easily pierced through a soldier's armor and into his chest.

"Fuck!" A grunt, the soldier looked at the spear in his chest, confused and scared.

He didn't think he would die at the hands of a weak commoner.

"Fool!" A shout, the leader soldier pulled out his sword and rushed to Aiden's side.

He quickly pulled out the spear and held it in front of him.

Bang!

The spear blocked the sword, and a huge force hit him. Aiden was sent flying backward and fell to the ground.

Ghost Spear was strong, but he was just a normal person. Killing that soldier before was just because of the surprise.

Now, facing it directly, he had no chance.

"Is that Ghost Spear?" Daisy's surprised voice came from the side. She stared at Aiden's spear, in disbelief. "How is that possible? This spear was cursed, right? Are you immortal?"

Aiden just fell next to Daisy, and when he heard her shout, he jumped up quickly.

"Fuck!"

A shout, Daisy had no idea, and Aiden had her pinned, the spear pressed against her soft, long neck.

"Your Majesty!" A few of the princess's attendants screamed and pulled out their swords to come forward.

"Don't move!" Aiden coldly said, the spear slightly trembled, and the sharp tip cut into Daisy's neck, letting out some red blood.

The soldiers and attendants were scared and didn't dare to move.

"Dirty slave, let go of the princess!" The leader soldier shouted angrily.

Aiden laughed coldly and said, "Let all of them step back."

Daisy was taken, but her face didn't show much fear. She said, "Hey, you kill me and you still can't escape. Why bother?"

"Is that so?" Aiden said coldly, "I have no value, but killing a noble and beautiful princess? That's worth it."

He said that, and the spear moved closer to Daisy's neck again.

"Don't be reckless, don't be reckless."

Daisy was really scared now, and she quickly said, "I'll let them let you go. Back off."

She waved her hand at the soldiers and ordered them to back off.

They didn't want to, but they were scared Aiden would kill the princess. So they had to step aside.

But they didn't let Aiden leave. They followed him step by step, looking for a way to save her. Even two soldiers took off their long bows, looking for a chance.

"Hey, is that Ghost Spear in your hand? Is it now obeying you?" Daisy asked curiously, showing no sign of being a prisoner.

Aiden didn't reply.

Daisy continued, "Are you immortal? Why don't you follow me? I won't kill you."

Her eyes were shining, clearly up to no good.

Aiden had already left the cave, but the soldiers still followed him closely.

He was angry and said, "Tell your men to step back. Don't follow us."

Daisy shrugged and said helplessly, "No way. If I get hurt, they'll die too. Don't worry, I won't kill you. Let me go."

Aiden didn't listen. He saw that they really weren't going to step back, even when he threatened Daisy's life.

He had The Hundred Lives Book, so he wasn't afraid of death, but it was best to escape.

"Get on the horse." Aiden had already reached a warhorse, jumped on it, and still held Daisy tight, keeping her behind him.

"Go!" He drove the horse forward, rushing into the distance.

"Chase!" The soldiers jumped on their horses and gave chase.

Some soldiers tried to shoot arrows, but they were afraid of hurting the princess, so they gave up.

A horse screamed, lifted its front legs, and stopped.

Aiden and Daisy had no time to react and fell down.

Before them was a deep ravine. If the horse hadn't stopped in time, they would have fallen in.

Oh no!

Aiden cursed in his mind. It was Feiying Gully.

He had run in the wrong direction and ended up here.

The sound of horse hooves echoed, and the soldiers were already catching up. Aiden was cornered.

He quickly grabbed Daisy and slowly backed up.

"Let go of the princess, and I promise you can leave alive." the leader soldier saw the ravine ahead and quickly said.

Aiden laughed coldly and didn't move. Daisy was his insurance. If he let her go, he was dead for sure.

Even if he caught Daisy, these people were good at tracking, and he wouldn't escape easily.

Aiden looked at the deep ravine behind him. Fog covered it, and it was deep and endless.

He remembered it was a big river below, and it was the only way to get away from the soldiers.

Plus, he had The Hundred Lives Book. If worst came to worst, he could just die and try again.

"Jump!" Aiden shouted and jumped into the ravine with Daisy in his arms without hesitation.

"Your Majesty!" The soldiers shouted and rushed forward to catch them, but it was too late.

Wind blew in their ears as they fell.

Daisy screamed, holding Aiden tightly with her arms and legs like a octopus, holding on like a drowning person grabbing the last straw.

Aiden felt the soft body in his arms and smelled the unique scent of a young girl. For a moment, he was even a little lost.

But the next second, both of them fell into the river.
