"The hell do you mean she has a problem with a trolley?" Allister asks while I dodge the kaijus tentacles. I've been trying to find Lilith,
or at least someone who knows where she is, all morning. I eventually ran into Allister but I assume really that he found me. As we were talking a kaiju fell from the sky nearby so I decided to go deal with it.
"I doubt it's a literal trolley." I respond as Raven blocks the tentacles for me. The kaiju is a 100 foot tall purple bear with a mouth
that splits open to reveal tentacles. It looks awesome but I don't really have time for this. "But I need your help, we have to find her.".
"To stop her?".
"To talk to her. I don't have the context for any of this yet. Lilith is a nice person, I just need to find out what's going on." I summon 5 thunder cats to launch a combined lightning attack on the bear. After 30 seconds its charred to a crisp. Did I apply enough pain killers for that to be humane? I hope so. I absorb what was likely a C ranks heart into the wand. I do a spin and pose because even in a time of crisis, marketing's important.
"I feel like the context has been given. She's trying to take over because she's a raging narcissist." Gosh, how weird are our lives that he didn't even once comment on the kaiju?
"Lilith isn't a narcissist." I give a few waves to the people cheering. There aren't a lot but it's still nice.
"I feel like she literally is. Try not to make this
personal.".
"I'm not making this personal." I say as I look down at the talking cat. It once again strikes me how strange and awesome it is that I can do that. "Even then, it doesn't matter. We still need to find her regardless." I give Raven a pat on the head and then return him to the wand.
"Thank you Kaiju boy!" A young teen girl calls from an open window. I give a smile and a wave.
"All in a days work ma'am!" That's a classic superhero line right? A few pictures get taken of me and while it's a little uncomfortable, at
least it's of Kaiju boy and not Haruo.
"So you want me to help you find a villain, but not to hurt her?" Allister asks.
"Yeah. Well technically no because we don't really know if she's a villain.".
"I think we do.".
"Agree to disagree.".
"Feels like a massive thing to disagree on.".
"Agree to disagree on that as well." Can the bystanders hear him talk? Or does everyone think Kaiju boy has special talking to cat powers? Or do they just think I'm crazy? Because I've felt like it recently.
"Anyway I'm just not sure about this.".
"Well Louhi told me to observe, combat was never mentioned." That clearly got his attention, but he's also still clearly resistant to the idea. I crouch down in front of him. "Please Allister? I really need your help. It'll be way easier with your help." With his clones and my kaiju we should have a much better time. Plus he's probably got some ninja skill that'd make it easier.
"Why are you asking me?" He asks confused. And now I'm confused as well.
"Because your probably way better at this then I am?" I feel like we've been over this.
"That's not what I meant." He sounds almost annoyed. What did I do?! "Fine." He finally accepts while looking away. Let's go!
"Thanks so much!" I try and reach for a hug but he leaps back.
"Keep your black magic away from me!" He yells in an exaggeratedly embarrassed manner. He really is 15.
"Ok fine. But since your being so helpful, I think someone deserves a biscuit when we're done." His 3 eyes light up.
"Yes! That is the only reason I'm doing this!" Feels like maybe doing the right thing should also be a reason but I'm not the talking ninja cat. He hops into my arms as I fly to a more secluded area. The ranger force will be here any second and I don't really have the time for them today. We make it to the top of what I assume to be an abandoned building. The broken windows are my main evidence. Actually, what even broke those windows? Aren't they supposed to be super durable? Maybe someone cut corners and that's why
it's abandoned. Or maybe I'm just overthinking things.
"By the way. Where have you been?" I ask. He was gone all day yesterday and didn't come back at night.
"Fighting clowns." What the heck does that mean?
"Like literally?".
"Yes." I feel like I'm not going to get much else out of him.
"So you hate the circus?" Just because I won't get anything doesn't mean I won't ask.
"No I don't hate the circus.".
"Kinda seems like you hate the circus.".
"Well it seems like you bribed me with biscuits to search for a terrorist. So maybe let's keep to the task at hand." Yeah, this guy definitely hates the circus.
"She's not a terrorist. Probably." I really hope it turns out that she's just larping. Because I can understand that at least. I basically do it all the time.
"She has a political agenda right? That agenda being that she should be in charge." I feel like it's probably a little more complex than that.
"That's why I want to talk to her. I want to understand what's really going on." I feel like I'm going to keep that purple lady thing to myself for now. He seems a little wound up.
"I think she literally told you what's going on and your in denial. But that's fine. It's my duty to watch over you, and if some vixen has you under her charms, I'll do what I need to to protect you." Vixen? What?
"Um, thank." A funny thought crosses my mind. What if all those account who defend me on 'Kaiju today' are Allister clones. A funny thought but pretty unlikely. For one thing, why would someone use their incredible powers for something as minor as defending me online. For the second thing, why would he call himself 'gossip bug'? It just doesn't add up. "But where would she go?" I wonder for a moment before a lightbulb goes off in my head. "I should definitely check her house." I say as I pull out my phone.
"That wasn't the first place you looked?".
"I don't go over to people's houses often. Took my brain a while to come to that conclusion." I answer slightly annoyed as I look up the mansion Lilith was likely talking about. "Come on." I pick him up with minimal
struggling. I bend my knees slightly as my white feather cape unfolds into 2 wings. We lift off and fly away. I can almost feel Ravens annoyance from inside the wand. No clue how that works.
"I just want to make it clear, if she gives me even 1 reason to, I'm taking her down." I should probably help him get that stick out of his butt when I can.
"Well, hopefully it won't come to that. I really just want to talk to her." I'll admit that I'm starting to get really nervous though. Talking to people is 1 thing, whatever this is turning into is very much another. No, calm down. Your Kaiju boy right now, not Haruo. You can handle this.
"She's a manipulative narcissist, plus her insect queen powers give her telepathic abilities. How do even think you'll have an equal conversation with her?" Lilith isn't like that. I hope.
"Maybe people like that are the ones we need to talk to the most." The type of person he's talking about sound lonely. But what if he's
right? Am I going into this the wrong way? What would even be the right way? Have some Kaiju bomb them from the sky? I look into the distance and see the ranger force base. The crimson spire pierces through the clouds with no sign of stopping, illuminated by the blue dots evenly scattered throughout. It's strange knowing that that place is filled with specially equipped, highly trained people who would love nothing more than to throw me in a box. And the worst thing is that they're kind of right to want that. Eventually I'm snapped out of my strange self destructive thoughts when I notice that we've entered zone G. From the search on my phone, G is the zone most know for advocating for eco friendly practices. They're the reason the clean energy company is the third most influential figure in the government. Right behind the construction company and in front of the ranger force. But then again I don't think you should take the internet at face value so what do I know? It's also as we fly past the buildings that I realise that I'm probably not the only 1 who thinks the architecture in a lot of the city is soulless. The white boxes we call buildings are covered in colourful flowers.
"That should be it." Allister points with his paw to the end of the road we're flying over. A mansion that somehow looks both sophisticated and squalid. Like a beautiful dress that's never worn. "Of course she couldn't just get an apartment.".
"It was probably there before. Someone was going to live in it 1 way or the other." I land at the front door and set him down. He morphs
into his human form and uses his smoke to
make a pitch black lock picking set. I didn't know he could do that. It's pretty cool. It takes Allister less than 20 seconds to unlock the door. "Great job." I say as I give him a pat on the head on my tiptoes. I'm about to step inside when suddenly he stops me.
"Use one of your electric kaiju to send out a pulse and disable any security cameras." Can I do that? Now that I think about it yeah I probably could. But after half a minute of thinking I shake my head.
"I don't think that's a good idea. If I do that we might lose some valuable information she keeps online. Plus, it'll be easier to find
her if she knows we're here." Allister just looks at me in shock. "What?" Oh gosh darn it! I've screwed up again!
"It's just that was surprisingly well thought out." Aw, that's so nice of him to say... Wait a minute.
"What do you mean surprisingly?!" He doesn't answer, just changes back into his cat form and walks inside. I can't imagine wanting to turn into a cat at every opportunity, but I guess I'm not a cat. We walk through the barren halls with painted walls that still look nice but clearly need another coat. We walk past an open door to a small room with a large doll house inside. That makes sense. I manifest a few dog sized kaiju designed for
sniffing. A mix of hounds and boars. Bit of an oxymoron that. A small Kaiju. I send all 3 of them in different directions with the instructions to come back if they find anything interesting. Although I had to raise the standards of interesting when 1 of them came back to show us a code creatures dvd. Which to be fair code creatures is awesome it just doesn't really help right now. Also who uses
a dvd anymore? After a few minutes of looking and contemplating why there are 2
kitchens on the first floor, one of the boar buddy's reports back. They lead us there, Allister calling back the clones he was using for investigation, and we arrive at a clock.
"There must be a hidden passage behind there." He says while climbing to rest his front paws on my shoulder. A secret passage? This really is a spy movie!
"So should I just knock it down?" I ask as I start to summon Naga.
"I wouldn't advise it. There could be booby traps." Heh. He said booby. "There's likely either a key or a clue on how to open it somewhere in this mansion. You should investigate.".
"Don't you mean WE should investigate?".
"No. I'll leave some clones to help but I'm going to deal with the people outside." Huh?
"What people?" I ask as he gets off my shoulder, spawning 3 clones as he does so.
"There are 3 dozen soldiers posted outside. Like the ones during that anti sky cannon fiasco. They're being led by a ranger squad. Gamma if I had to guess." Well that's terrifying.
"How do you know any of that?" Because that's the most pressing question Haruo. Great job.
"I left a clone waiting by a bus stop outside. I saw a stealth airship dropping soldiers onto the roofs of buildings. Those things are so quiet, I kind of want 1.".
"Same." We give each other a nod of understanding.
"But that means that there's now a bunch of snipers posted all over, make sure to stay clear of windows. Raven can block them but we shouldn't give away our position." Makes sense. "Now, I also saw streaks of light above the clouds, right afterwards those overly bright twits fell from the sky and are busy directing the ground troops." Feels like a side dig at my outfit but whatever, kind of have bigger things going on right now. "I don't
know if I can take on all of them but I'm going to try and buy you time to get as much information as you can." A minute ago our biggest problem was a clock. How did things escalate this much?
"Shouldn't I go out and deal with it? I feel like I'm at least a little stronger than you." I know I must sound so arrogant but I think it needed to be said. He gives me a very conflicted glare. I think it's the inner battle of a ninja who knows I'm right and a 15 year old who wants to be king of the world. I bend down to pet him but pull back when he tries to bite me.
"As efficient as I'm sure you would prove, your much less subtle than me. I can keep things quiet enough as to not warrant an immediate
response from the bigger fish." He starts to walk away, leaving the free clones behind to help me with the investigation.
"No killing." I say firmer than I was really expecting to. I doubt he would but I need to make sure. Part of his power is to make knives after all.
"Of course. Wouldn't dream of it." He responds once he gets over the surprise of my single second of having a backbone. He then finally turns a corner and disappears.
"Today on Kaiju boy, it's 'the mystery of the evil clock'" I say in a slightly spooky voice. I get no response from the clones as they'd
spread out. Can they talk? I guess it doesn't
matter. When I search the kitchen again I make sure to take Allisters advice and stay outside the windows field of view. I'm probably not bullet proof. Probably. I look but can't keep myself from daydreaming for a second. If this were a film or television show then Allisters fight would probably be kept off screen to leave it up to the viewer's
imagination, but really because the budget couldn't handle it. But then I realise that if this was a film or television show, that a cat and some guys fighting would be the least stressful thing for the budget. These thoughts
cause me to do something incredibly stupid and therefore perfectly natural for me. I take a quick peek outside. I'm luckily not given a view of my brains because the soldiers are a bit preoccupied, several of them are being choked out silently. True to his words it doesn't look like any of them are dying. He
definitely deserves a biscuit later. My heart skips a beat when I realise that 1 of the snipers has spotted him. They point their rifle at him and I'm about to intervene when the trigger is pulled, the silenced weapon not letting a single sound out. Neither did Allister as he dodges the bullet and traverse the
rooftops at the same speed, neutralising the threat. That was the coolest thing I've seen all day! My eyes could be playing tricks on me but I think he sliced the bullet in half! Best cat ever! I'm so impressed that I'm not even concerned when the rangers notice him. He's got this! I turn and head back to the clock
after I see this. I've been inspired! I hold the wand in front of the clock and send out the kaiju I've just thought of. The decoder Beatles! If I can make a small Kaiju, I can make even smaller ones! They look like regular Beatles but have 2 distinguishing factors. They have protective layers over their eyes that 1 made look like stereotypical nerd glasses. But in an endearing way. It's the
24th century after all. The other is that they are incredibly malleable. They demonstrate it when they squeeze under the clock despite there barley being any space. It doesn't matter if there's a key or code or anything
else of the sort. Lilith would want a way to get in that only she could use. Probably quite uncomfortable though. She's not that small. The 5 decoder Beatles work together to climb the other side of the clock. They are mainly there unlock it from the other side but it's also a good way to avoid any booby traps. Hehe,
booby. It takes about 5 minutes for them to get it done. 5 minutes of hearing an awesome fight outside, 5 minutes of scrolling on my phone and 5 minutes of wondering if I should listen to 'Kaiju today'. Even disregarding the current situation it feels like a bad habit. I soon afterwards hear a 'click' as the clock hands spin until they eventually land dead on noon. I step back as the clock slides to the left, revealing a long, dark tunnel with stairs leading down. This really would make a great spy movie. With 2 of the clones behind me I walk down the stairs. I recall the decoder Beatles and summon a small firefly creature to light the way. It takes about 4 minutes to make it to the bottom. Or at least I presume so, this outfit doesn't come with a watch. At the end of the tunnel is a short passage leading to a room. As I walk in I summon 2 more fireflies so I can get a better look. 1 of them floats near a switch and I flip it, turning
the lights on the ceiling on. Wait a frick fracking second! What if that was a switch for a bomb?! No, that would be ridiculous right? Is that a thing people do? I've never had a mansion with a secret passage so I guess I wouldn't know. As the lights all turn on I can now take in what I'm seeing, a large bunker that looks even bigger than the mansion above it. At the other side of the bunker is
a thick looking metal door. The kind you'd see in a bank. I know most high rankers are pretty loaded, but aren't those supposed to be in the forms of cheques and bank accounts and the like? Does she have gold back there or something? Are we in a pirate movie now?! Noooooo! I want to be a super spy for longer! I smack myself in the face. "Be serious!" I yell at myself. After centring myself and ignoring the blank stares of the clones as best as I can, my attention is drawn to the left wall. It is a series of pictures and news articles pinned to the wall, connected by red string. I think it's weird that I know this, but that string definitely came from Lilith. As I take a closer look
I realise that I recognise a lot of these articles. Mainly from scrolling on the internet, never looking in depth. A raid on a supply shipment to the anti sky cannon, I think that's what led to our mission as bodyguards. The temporary
kidnapping of a programmer for the ranger force mechs, further details were never revealed other than he was unharmed. Zeta team going on a classified overseas mission, they returned but apparently were demoted shortly afterwards. Rumours from 'Kaiju today' that 2 media stations were being bribed, those were never substantiated. An article about the construction company getting new funding, the benefactor was never revealed to the public. There's a lot of
information here but it doesn't really seem to say anything. What does any of this have to do with anything else?
"Form 2: heavy!" I can't even process until a few seconds after Raven automatically defends me from the blast of ice, the sound of it breaking against his thick metal plating registering around the same time. A few more blasts of ice follow suit which Raven manages to block, although the last 1 sends us both sliding back and off centre. We manage to regain our balance after we stop and with a literal flash of lightning, both the clones miss all their knife strikes before being hit with a hundred blows a second. Or
at least I assume it's that fast, I can't quite keep up. Thanks to the distraction I'm able to see who our assailant is. It's Misty, 1 of her 9 tails glowing yellow as she radiates electricity from her body. Our eyes lock, her glowing pupils showing no recognition for me. I'm not Kaiju boy, I'm an enemy. Or maybe that's just 1 and the same.
"Wait a second! I'm not your enemy!" I try to reason with her but it doesn't seem to do anything as a different t tail turns red and a
large stream of fire is launched towards us. Thinking fast I create a kaiju polar bear to create ice and counter the fire. He barely fits under the ceiling and leaves cracks on the floor. Steam erupts from the clash of the 2 elements so I have Raven blow it away with his wings. What the heck is going on?! Is Misty in on this?! What even is this?! In an attempt to restrain her I summon 5 copies of Raven to attack. They're blue and not as strong but they can fit comfortably and the numbers should do the trick. A brief but epic battle occurs where Misty uses some exceptional reflex's and what I think are martial arts to effortlessly dodge all the swipes. In less than a minute she's blasted a hole in each of them with her fire. I probably shouldn't summon them again for now. "Misty
please wait!" I say as she takes a step closer. "I don't want to fight you!" She ignores me again. "Why won't you just listen?!" I yell in frustration over the fight but also for a slightly more selfish reason. Because of the stress I
haven't been keeping up the Kaiju boy persona as well as I wanted to. I can't really think about that too much though as Misty seemingly teleports in front of me and delivers what feels like a weirdly gentle punch to my chest. The only real feeling is the slight jolt. I take a step back and nearly drop the wand when I realise what happened. It dawns on me at the same time the chest pain does. My heart just stopped. No no no no no! This can't be happening! There's so much I wanted to do! I can't die as Kaiju boy he was supposed to be better. I fall to my knees, or at least I should. Instead I'm overcome with an all consuming cold that washes over my body, taking the pain with it. I see the faintest glimpse of a pink flame. I may have seen it before but I honestly don't care. All I care about is winning whatever this stupid farce even is. I steady myself as my heart starts beating again. That makes sense. Well no it
doesn't but that doesn't matter right now. If she's surprised she doesn't show it, just gets into a new stance. I send Raven in before summoning as many blue copies of him as I can, followed by a bunch of red flowered vines. She dodges and hits them all as expertly as she did before, nothing seems to hit her. But that's the thing, they don't need to, they just need to keep her occupied while
I take a second to prepare. Drawing from an energy I don't question, I use memories of how strong I thought Satoshi was to manifest something different from what I've made before. A sword 3 times the size of me, a non living combination of Kaiju parts best for for the job, its shiny surface reflecting my glowing pink eyes.. Connected to the gloves of my costume with threads that do the lifting for me, I run at Misty without hesitation. I start to swing, flames of all colours bursting from the other side of the blade to generate
speed and force I don't think swords are supposed to have. As Misty blasts through another Kaiju I get the cover I need to get in close, it's not until a second too late that she registers the threat and raises her hands to guard, covering them in some sort of hard scale like substance. I don't know if that's
another power she has and I don't care.
"Argh!" She yells out as the sword shatters the scales on contact, her bones going along with them if I had to guess. They at least save
her from being cut in 2 as she crashes into a wall, creating a massive crater. The sword itself keeps going, going upwards with its momentum causing it to slice through the ceiling and any mansion in the air currents path if I hand to guess. I recall the weapon and all the Ravens before taking a breath. I won. That's all that matters.
"Thank goodness she held back." A familiar voice from behind me causes me to snap out of whatever that was. What the hack did I just do? That was definitely still me but I felt a lot more focused on a single thing. I turn around and see Lilith casually sitting in a table like it's a house sized sofa. Even if she is a terrorist at least she knows how to relax.
"It didn't feel like it." I say without thinking. Probably could have thought of something better but we all make mistakes. I just happen
to make more mistakes than others.
"Well she did. You don't have a hole in your chest." Well I guess that makes sense. Wait a second.
"What the heck is going on here?! Are you a terrorist?!" I ask and point at her. She looks a little taken aback.
"It's weird to talk to you while you look like that Haruo." Holy cow she actually does know. Ok Haruo, play it cool.
"Who's Haruo?" I can tell that she's holding back a face palm.
"You're a kaiju fanatic with an interest in magical girls. Then someone shows up with Kaiju summoning powers and an aesthetic clearly inspired by magical girls. Come on now." She uses her wings to fly towards me
and place her hands on her hips. "And to answer your other question, yes i technically am a terrorist. But it's for a good cause I swear!" She suddenly places her hands together in an almost pleading action. I'm so confused.
"So everything on the wall…" I tilt my head slightly to the articles.
"All us, yeah. Well mostly me, please don't hold this against Misty too much." Lilith sounds almost embarrassed about it. "But it's
like I said yesterday, I really am doing this for the greater good." I really don't know how to feel about this.
"If you knew I was Kaiju boy then why did you spend time with me? Why not just control me with your ability?" Maybe not the most pressing question but I really want to know.
"Because regardless of anything else, I really like spending time with you." She gives a kind smile that seems at odds with the situation.Was us hanging out really separate from all this? That can't be right. Nobody would want to hang out with me just because. I'm not worth that. "But seriously, I'm not the bad guy here. The people in charge are incompetent. I'm objectively better than everyone else, so wouldn't it make sense for me to be in charge? So how about you help?" Lilith reaches out her tiny scarlet arm in a symbolic gesture.
"I-I" is all I can say before I step back. The sad look on Lilith gives makes me feel horrible but I just don't know what to do! I feel like I barley know anything more than when I started this morning!
"They say 'keep your friends close but your enemies closer'. I don't even know what this counts as." An echoey voice comes from the passage leading into the bunker. Slow, deliberate footsteps are the only noise for a
second before someone steps into the light. A blue ranger, complete with the cape and black visor covering their eyes. But there was some key differences that showed they were much more. The cape was black with gold marks that looked like waves. Helmet had a metal face plate to cover the mouth with engravings to make it look like sharp teeth. And the lines separating the black and blue were gold. This was the golden blue ranger. 1 of the 5 highest ranking members of the ranger force, even higher than Satoshi. There's something else important about them though. This 1 in particular I know. Underneath that helmet is instructor Audrey.
"Oh look at that. You turned up at the worst possible time, when's that becoming official policy?" Lilith asked in a sweet voice that hid venom. I really feel like I stepped into something way more serious than I should.
"Lilith, by the power invested in me by the city of new London, you are under arrest for conspiracy against the government, terrorism and reckless use of your Kaiju child abilities." She says seriously like she's reading from
a script. A single step forward shows she's serious.
"I don't really know what's going on here, but how about we talk?" I speak for the first time since the gold ranger arrived and for the
first time since she got here she acknowledges my presence. May not have been my best decision.
"Kaiju boy. 2 birds with 1 stone. I'm bringing you in for crimes against humanity." WHAT?!
"I doubt either of us will be leaving." Gold dust disperses from Lilith as she floats forward. 3 small machines detach from Audrey's suit
and float in front of her, the fronts glowing blue.
"Ok seriously let's just relax ok? We're all good guys here right?" I say while giving what I think is my trademark heroic grin. I dunno I
don't have a mirror. Also more importantly I am not prepared to fight a government official! Especially a gold ranger!
"I definitely feel like a good guy." The instructor says as a laser sight from 1 of the drones appears on my chest. I steady my nerves to not move. Don't give her a reason.
"Same. That's why I'm going to enjoys crushing her." Some of the gold dust coalesces into a Lilith like shape. Except they're 4 feet tall and have no facial features beyond different colour hair. What the heck is
going on?!
"As a courtesy for our history Lilith, I'm giving you 1 last chance to surrender." Oh yeah, aren't these 2 supposed to get on really well?
You wouldn't know from how they're acting. An orb I hadn't noticed on her chest starts to glow, the rest of her outfit following suit if much fainter.
"Stay out of this." Lilith mutters to me. What do I do? What appears to be a knife the gold ranger is holding soon extends into a trident
before being turned on its side and pointed towards Misty. She wouldn't would she? A thick line of light replaces where Audrey was while Raven narrowly blocks a laser fired at my chest by the drone. I follow the line with my gaze and see the 2 Lilith spawn holding back the gold rangers trident from hitting
Misty's head, all of them smoking. "Ok, now I'm just going to kill you." She says before they both disappear again, with a huge hole in the ceiling leading up to the mansion. That definitely wasn't there before. This feels out of my league.
"Come on naga." I summon naga to help me get to the surface. I don't really know what to do but I feel like I should be up there. We quickly climb up the long hole to find the mansion absolutely torn to pieces. There's
barley any of it left, to the point where you can easily see the road. As well as all the soldiers lying there unconscious. And also Allister clones, hope he's ok. I can't think about that too much though as what I presume to be gamma squads combined mech is falling down with multiple holes in it along with its
left arm missing! It took me 30 seconds to get here what happened?! Walking in the middle of the road is the gold ranger, Lilith nowhere in sight. Naga and Raven both get in front of me.
"Where's she go?" I hear her ask at the edge of the ruins. Did Lilith escape? Is that a good thing?
"I don't know. Why are you after her?" Probably should have chosen my words more carefully there, must have sounded quite silly.
"Hm. You'll do then." Raven blocks 2 lasers but the 3rd goes straight through his wings, blasting a hole in them. I send Naga and 5 Thundercats to attack but they're easily sliced up in that light line. She's moving as fast as Allister and Misty, maybe even faster. But something's off about it. A laser passes by my face before I can even move, leaving a slight cut on my cheek. "What's it gonna be Lilith?! I take you or I take you both?!" A large blue mech lands on the road, kicking up a massive amount of dust. It's even bigger than the
combined gamma mech and has smoother features, with its body looking like a metal skeleton covered in sapphire armour plates with smooth edges. Plus it has a tail. The other notable thing about it is that it looks like it's a single unit, not a few smaller ones put together. Doesn't seem like she's gonna use it
on me though as she leaps towards me with a kick. I summon Raven again but she just smashes through his wings, landing a kick on my jaw that leaves a distinct cracking sound followed by me screaming.
"Aaaaaghh!!!" I can't control it. I can't focus on anything else. It hurts so much! The same crack and pain is felt in my left arm as she
applies pressure to it with her foot.
"That's enough!" Lilith yells from behind Audrey followed by at least 8 drones, a bunch of pincers and enough gold dust to start a drug trade. That was a weird thing to add. I guess I'm not thinking straight because of my BROKEN BONES!
"See what happens when you wait? Now I get both of you." She won't even take her foot off. Come on!
"No. Just me. If you let him and Misty go I'll come willingly." Lilith says solemnly.
"Your not in much of a position to negotiate." Lilith responds by placing a finger to her head.
"Hurt him or Misty anymore and I erase all the information in my head. In fact, I'll take all of it out of yours as well. Brain bomb." Besides from the stupid name I think she's serious. I try and tell her to stop but I can't with my BROKEN BONES!
"There's no way your serious.".
"Aren't I?" There's a tense few seconds before the foot is finally taken off me.
"That might just be the first respectable thing you've ever done. Let's go." All the weapons and drones and dust return to their respective
users, meanwhile all I can do is reach out my useable hand to them. Why? What could I even do? As they're both taken in the blue mechs hand, the last thing I see while I'm awake is Lilith giving me an unreadable smile.
