Theodore only received information on the bloodlings early that morning because the vampires are being secretive. It was exactly as he expected. Immediately Damon went missing, Damian stormed into the palace, forcing his way in. The vampires put up a front, but they were absolutely no match for Damian and his army.
Right now, the vampires' world is upside down. With Damian lying to them that the king is dead, all those who resisted Damian were imprisoned, and the rest just surrendered to him. Some vampires also went AWOL, believing their king is still out there and should be searching for Damon.
Being in charge for a little bit over a week, Damian doesn't rest either and searches for all traces of Damon. It is now a race of who finds Damon first.
Listening to all Theo has said, Damon's expression didn't change, but the room temperature came down by a few degrees. Instead, he asked Theo, "Is he here yet?"
...
A pretty girl with red hair and big brown eyes caught the attention of passersby as she walked in the hospital doors, holding a large bouquet of pink tulips, forming a beautiful and serene picture.
"Good morning," Erica greeted the blonde nurse at the desk in the reception.
"Hello," the nurse replied. "If you are here to see the doctor, have a seat."
Erica: "No, I'm here for someone. A seriously injured man was rushed here from the woods yesterday evening. I am here to see him."
Nurse: "Oh, that man. Well, he was transferred to the VIP ward immediately after his operation."
"VIP ward??" His family must have already heard of his accident, Erica thought. "Can I see him?"
Nurse: "I'm sorry. We were instructed by the head doctor not to let anyone into his ward."
"Ok, it's fine," said Erica, handing over the flowers to the nurse. "Could you please give these to him if you see him?"
"Thank you," Erica said, leaving the desk. "Well, that was faster than I expected," checking the time, she said to herself. "I only used five minutes getting in and out of the hospital. I still have plenty of time. It would be a waste to come all the way here just to return home immediately."
...hmm... but where do I go from here? ...
"Bye, Issac," a bunch of teenage girls said in unison.
"Bye," he politely replied to them.
Issac's phone then vibrated in his pocket. He brought out his phone to see an unknown number. I just changed my number, how could they have gotten it already? Sighing, he picked up the call.
Before he could say a word, the person at the other end of the line said with an authoritative tone, "Come pick me up" and hung up, leaving him no chance to say a thing.
Issac lifted his head up from his phone and stared at the white building before him. When he received the message stating the address, he was tempted to think it was a prank call, but that voice can't be faked.
Walking into the building, the bitter antiseptic smell hit his nostrils.
"Hello, I am here for the man who was brought here yesterday. Could you be more descriptive, sir?" the nurse said.
"He has black hair, grey eyes, tall, tanned skin," said Issac.
"Do you by chance mean the seriously injured man who was rushed here from the woods?"
"Should be him," replied Issac.
"I'm sorry, sir, but we have been instructed not to let anyone into his ward by the head doctor," the blonde nurse repeated the same she said to Erica to Issac.
Seeing that he didn't budge despite her telling him that, she called the head doctor as she was frightened by the cold air surrounding him.
"Hello, sir, a young man says he is here to see the man in the VIP ward, and I told him your instructions, but..."
"Let him in," the doctor interrupted her.
"...sir?... I said you should let him in. Ok, sir," she said, and the doctor hung up.
She then directed Issac towards the ward.
