Ever since King Damon's return, everyone noticed a change in him. Sometimes he is more terrifying than usual, sometimes he is lost in his thoughts. Most people think it is because of Damian's escape, but Issac, being the closest one to Damon, knew that something other than that was bothering him.
Damon keeps having visions of being covered in blood and writhing in pain from the day he came out of the strange space that he was trapped in for a week. There are also times when he hears the chanting voice coming from everywhere, though he doesn't understand the language, he has a feeling that it is calling out to him. He thought Damian had something to do with it, but his words in the throne room proved otherwise.
Damon took the flowers that were placed in a vase on his bedside table, sniffing it, the corners of his mouth lifted up a bit, almost unnoticeable.
There was a knock on the door. "Come in," Issac walked into the room, he bowed his head. "Your Highness."
When Issac heard that his Highness wanted to see him, Issac decided to ask Damon about what could be bothering him.
Issac raised his head up and saw the ever-stout king holding a bouquet of pink tulips. The king truly had changed. There was a third personality only Issac knew, the love-struck version of the king.
"Issac, tell Melissa I'll come visiting."
"Melissa?" Since when does his Highness have dealings with witches? That shouldn't be the question; the king has changed, so it shouldn't come as a surprise, but why Melissa?
"Ok, Your Highness," replied Issac, ignoring the questions that popped up in his head.
"Do you want to say something?" Damon asked because Issac had not left yet.
"Well, I noticed you've been different lately, so I want to ask what the problem could be," said Issac.
"If it is about that, you would know very soon," Damon replied.
...
A black Maybach drove into a villa, an expensive estate in Lore Valley. "Your Highness, you're welcome to my humble abode," a beautiful lady greeted Damon.
Seeing the young boy coming behind Damon, "Azi, you actually came," Melissa said with a bright smile and with a doting expression, her temperament going a total 360-degree turn.
"Uhm, Issac," replied expressionlessly.
Realizing that she was still in the presence of Damon, she composed herself again. "I was surprised when I heard that you would be visiting, and to what do I owe this visit?" said Melissa.
Damon went straight to the point. "I need help with a translation." He recited the chant that had long been engraved in his mind.
"Hmm... it doesn't seem to be a spell, then it should be a warning, but of what exactly the warning is, I don't know. The language is really complicated, sounds obsolete," Melissa told Damon.
"If you want to know what it means, you would have to wait for a few days."
"Ok, one more thing, is it possible to use an illusion to make someone feel pain?" Damon asked.
"It could be possible to do that to a human, but for a night creature, not so much. It could be possible if the night creature is broken," Melissa said.
"For how long?" Damon asked.
"The longest time being for 7 hours."
"Is that all, Your Highness?" Melissa said.
During the whole conversation, Issac sat in the corner in silence. The exchange of words between Damon and Melissa ended.
In the car, Issac was totally lost, and all that just happened in the villa, is the king now studying ancient language? Did someone try to use an illusion spell on Damon? Damon said he would know what was going on, but instead, he just got more confused.
