Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Priestess? Plotting for Special Classes

At this moment—

"Kaya!" A woman's panicked shout came from within the crowd.

Because of the appearance of these adventurer parties and the people crowding in on both sides, a boy who looked only five or six years old was squeezed out from among them.

He suddenly stumbled into the path of the adventurer team Four Armaments.

The boy failed to keep his footing and fell to the ground. His arm smashed into the dirt, the skin breaking on the spot and blood seeping out.

"Uu… waa!!"

The pain in his arm, coupled with the panic of being pushed out of the crowd and separated from his mother, made the boy burst into loud sobs.

The sudden development

made the eyes of the black-haired, cold-faced leader Sukarma, who walked at the front, light up.

This was a good opportunity.

For most adventurer parties, raising the team's reputation was an important matter.

"Llielsen…" Sukarma turned her head, keeping her face calm as she prepared to ask the pink-haired Llielsen to help.

But—

before she could speak,

Llielsen had already stepped forward quickly. The long hem of her white priest's garb, split high on both sides, fluttered with her strides.

Her fair thighs, tightly encased in fishnet stockings, were fully exposed to the crowd.

A wave of gulping sounds rose instantly.

"Little brother, it's alright. Let big sister take a look."

With a warm smile on her face, Llielsen crouched down and raised her hand toward the boy's scraped arm.

"Light Wounds Healing!"

A gentle white glow spread from her palm, and under that light, the boy's wound vanished in an instant.

Feeling the pain disappear,

the boy finally stopped crying. Tears still clung to the corners of his eyes as he lifted his head to look at Llielsen, who was smiling down at him.

"Thank you, big sis…"

The boy spoke in a milky voice, but before he could finish, he shrank his neck, fear appearing on his face.

He did not know why.

Even though the big sister in front of him was smiling at him, he felt that smile was a little scary.

Clack, clack.

The faint clink of armor plates rubbing together sounded.

Sukarma, the full-plate-armored leader, walked over and bent down to look at the boy.

To the people around them, it seemed she was checking on his injury.

In reality,

Sukarma was speaking in a low, vicious tone to Llielsen. "You pervert, put away those eyes like you're about to eat him. I don't want our party, which just gained a bit of fame, being rumored as having some rotten shotacon in it."

Hearing the leader's warning,

Llielsen extended her rosy tongue to lick away the glistening drool at the corner of her mouth, then said in a slightly disappointed murmur, "It's unripe fruit that's the most tempting."

The boy hunched his shoulders again.

He could not understand the conversation between the two pretty big sisters, but he felt more and more that they were scary.

In the back,

the other two male members of Four Armaments exchanged a glance, then sighed in unison.

Within the crowd,

a middle-aged woman squeezed through in a fluster, hurrying over with a tense expression that only relaxed when she saw the boy was fine.

"Thank you, thank you so much."

The woman bowed as she spoke, her face filled with grateful nervousness.

Adventurers were not particularly well-regarded among nobles, but they did enjoy considerable fame and respect among commoners.

At this point, Sukarma and Llielsen both straightened up. Their expressions returned to normal, and they waved righteously as if to say there was no need for thanks.

Aaron's attention, however, was no longer on this little scene. When Llielsen had just cast her healing spell, his status panel had naturally reacted as well.

"Skill 'Light Wounds Healing (1st Tier)' discovered. Requirement: basic Priestess/Priest class, level 1–7. Current conditions not met…"

"'Genius' class activated. Conversion successful. Requirements met. Consume 1 skill point to learn?"

Priestess?

Aaron stared at the prompt on the panel, stunned for a moment as a strange light flashed in his eyes.

He had no intention of continuing to watch the show.

Aaron turned and left quickly. He planned to find a quiet place to整理 his thoughts.

It was currently noon.

The sunlight was somewhat scorching. Based on what Aaron had learned by asking around earlier, it should be about May now, yet the temperature was already comparable to June or July in his previous world.

The Great Tomb of Nazarick should descend on this world in mid-July, four years from now, so Aaron had just over four years.

Time was not exactly abundant.

But Aaron also knew he absolutely could not rush his choices in class construction.

The coliseum stood near the royal castle area, at the foot of the hill, so there were plenty of trees and vegetation around, forming a green belt that separated it from the dense residential districts of the commoners further out. Seen from above, it would look like a ring of green.

Aaron found a patch of shade beneath a tree and sat down, then called up his status panel.

Because Aaron had mastered the spell Light Wounds Healing, the general class "Genius" now listed Priestess/Priest as additional basic classes he could convert into.

Right now,

what truly surprised and intrigued him was the basic caster class "Priestess."

Just from the name alone,

it was obvious this was a class exclusively for women. In the Overlord game, there were subtle differences between the Priestess and Priest classes.

Simply put,

Priestess leaned more toward magical casting. Its upper-tier class, High Priestess, had bonuses to healing.

Of course,

that was not what Aaron really cared about. What shook him was that Genius could also convert into a class like Priestess, one only available to women. That exceeded his expectations.

The appearance of this female-only class—

did it mean he now effectively had a "female character buff," allowing him to take on some classes that only female characters could obtain?

Because this was related to a special class.

From the anime and light novels, the only special classes Aaron knew of were:

Ainz's [Eclipse]!

Cocytus's [Asura]!

Shalltear's [Valkyrie]!

Mare's [Disaster Apostle]!

Demiurge's [Source of Evil]!

Victim's [Martyr]!

Albedo also possessed a special class, though neither the anime nor the light novels ever clearly stated its name.

All Aaron knew was that Albedo's special class granted her the ability to shift death onto her armor, three times in total. Combined with resurrection items,

in theory, killing Albedo would require killing her four times.

Of course, besides these special classes,

there were also [World Champion], [World Disaster], and others—completely irrelevant to Aaron's current considerations.

In the Overlord game, there were obviously more special classes than just these, but in this world Aaron had no way to even start exploring them.

So, when it came to picking a special class, he could only choose from these few.

As for the six listed above, the first ones Aaron ruled out were [Eclipse], [Source of Evil], and [Martyr].

As Ainz's special class, Eclipse had very clear job requirements: mastering all necromancer-related classes and reaching level 95 would unlock it.

It was a special class that required an extremely lopsided build.

It was precisely because Aaron understood this structure that he eliminated it immediately. With the same class composition, he did not believe he would be a match for Ainz.

Not to mention—

he was alone, while Ainz had multiple level-100 Floor Guardians on his side. Such an extreme build was far too easy to counter.

[Source of Evil] clearly belonged to the demon race's special classes.

[Martyr] was similar, a special class only the angel race could obtain.

The remaining three—[Asura], [Valkyrie], and [Disaster Apostle]—did not have such harsh requirements.
