Chapter 2 - DRAGON EGG

Becoming a Dragon Knight is extremely difficult; the arrogance and power of dragons are a threshold that can make even Saint Realms feel despair.

The combat power of a Dragon Knight is enough to rival several Saint Realms of the same level; this is the power of a Dragon Knight.

The benefits brought by a dragon are simply too numerous; they are the darlings of the heavens, and their every move can make a country go crazy.

Their habitats produce a large amount of expensive resources; each type of dragon brings different resources, but undoubtedly, these resources are all top-tier.

For example, their habitats may contain magic gem ore veins, and even several rare and expensive associated minerals.

These are top-tier treasures for mages and knights.

Or they can provide rare high-grade iron ore, enough to forge various high-grade equipment and magic weapons.

No matter what minerals, this alone is enough to make an entire country prosperous and peaceful, and of course, the benefits of dragons are certainly not limited to these.

"I wonder what kind of dragon will be in this dragon egg. No matter what kind of dragon it is, it will be a huge surprise for me!"

Allen was excited; this meant he could become a Dragon Knight!

It was unbelievable to think about. Just a few minutes ago, he thought he would be the most useless and unlucky transmigrator in this world, but now he found himself incredibly lucky!

"How do I hatch this dragon egg?"

After his initial euphoria, Allen immediately realized he had no idea how to hatch a dragon egg!

"The host only needs to drip his blood onto the dragon egg and, after signing a contract with the young dragon, the young dragon will soon hatch."

The System's voice echoed in his mind.

Allen's face immediately lit up with joy: "So that's how it is."

He smiled slightly, bit his finger, and drops of blood quickly dripped onto the dragon egg.

Allen's blood was quickly absorbed by the scales on the blue dragon egg.

Soon, under Allen's gaze, the entire dragon egg began to shake slightly.

Finally, tiny cracks appeared on the dragon egg.

"Bang!"

A crisp sound rang out, and a gap immediately appeared in the dragon egg. A small, delicate dragon head poked out from the opening.

"Roar! Roar!"

The young dragon's slender and delicate body emerged from the dragon egg, and upon seeing Allen, it excitedly cried out.

Allen could feel an inexplicable sense of intimacy between himself and the young dragon.

The young dragon probably already considered him something like a father, right?

Allen himself wasn't sure, after all, this was his first contact with a dragon.

The little fellow stretched its body in the dim light; its slender body and thin, fleshy wings appeared somewhat weak under the illumination.

Allen picked up the small creature, and the young dragon didn't resist at all; instead, it rubbed against Allen's arm.

"So cute, is this a young dragon? It's hard to imagine what this little fellow will look like when it grows up."

Allen teased the young dragon while looking at the small dragon that emitted a faint blue glow all over its body.

"A blue dragon, is it a Water Dragon?"

Allen curiously examined the young dragon. At this moment, the young dragon ran back to its birthplace and began to eat, quickly devouring the dragon eggshell until its small belly swelled up, at which point it finished eating.

Then it returned to Allen's arms, closed its eyes, and fell asleep.

"Haha, little fellow, from now on, you'll accompany me as I rule the world!"

Allen said with a smile.

Before, he only wanted to live a stable life.

Now with the Strongest Lord System in hand, how could he possibly be willing to live an ordinary life?

Especially since this beginning directly gave him a dragon; he was destined to be a Dragon Knight!

Holding the young dragon, Allen returned to his bedroom. He suppressed his excited emotions, tossing and turning for a long time before finally falling asleep.

Allen woke up early the next morning because a young dragon was licking his face.

"Hmm, little fellow, are you awake?"

When Allen opened his eyes and saw the young dragon, a smile appeared on his face.

"Roar! Roar!"

The young dragon cried out twice, then looked down at its belly, indicating that it was hungry.

After signing the contract with this little fellow, Allen instantly understood its thoughts.

"Hungry?"

Allen raised an eyebrow slightly. After the euphoria of the previous night, he now had to face some problems.

The biggest problem was what to do with this little fellow.

Allen didn't dare to keep it directly by his side, after all, this was a genuine dragon!

A young dragon!

This was the foundation for establishing a country, something that countless Saint Realms would covet.

Once the news of him owning a young dragon leaked out, he would face the covetousness of everyone!

Countless experts would probably flock to him, and in a breath, he and Rose Town would disappear from the continent.

"Damn it, what do I do now?"

Allen's face showed a hint of anxiety. He didn't want his ambition to conquer the world to be extinguished as soon as it arose.

"The host can select System buildings to construct a Dragon Nest for the young dragon. The System will automatically expand the Dragon Nest space for you!"

The System prompted in Allen's mind.

"Huh? There's even this function?"

Allen was overjoyed and immediately chose to construct a Dragon Nest.

However, he immediately felt a pang of discomfort; constructing a Dragon Nest cost money.

"Ding, Basic Dragon Nest, costs 1000 gold coins. Do you want to construct it?"

Allen's face showed a slight dilemma, but upon seeing the beautiful, noble young dragon in front of him, Allen immediately made up his mind.

"Construct the Dragon Nest!"

Allen, after all, was a descendant of the Thorn Flower Family. Even if his cheap father was heartless, he wouldn't truly give Allen no support at all.

When Allen left, the Count gave him a full five thousand gold coins, a large sum of money enough for him to maintain the normal life of a baron for ten years.

Now, a thousand gold coins simply vanished, which made Allen feel a little pained.

Soon, the System prompted that the Dragon Nest had been constructed, and at the same time, a line of small text appeared on the System interface.

"Building: Basic Dragon Nest * 1"

Allen focused his gaze on the building, and soon he found himself in a light blue crystal valley.

"This is... a Dragon Nest?"

Allen was stunned.

"The System will automatically construct a Dragon Nestsuitable for the young dragon's attributes. The System has determined that the young dragon owned by the host is a Water-attributed dragon."

The System seemed to be explaining the doubts in Allen's mind.

Allen looked down at the young dragon in his arms. The little fellow was staring wide-eyed at everything around it. It flapped its wings a few times, wobbled out of Allen's arms, and landed on the Dragon Nest, looking very joyful.

"It seems the little one likes it here."

Allen smiled, immediately feeling that his thousand gold coins were well spent.

"Basic Dragon Nest can accelerate the growth of the young dragon."

The System's voice rang out again.

Allen's expression grew even more satisfied.

This money was well spent!

Allen tried it and found that only he could see and enter the building.

This reassured him. When the young dragon grew up in the future, he would be the youngest Dragon Knight in this world!

"Little fellow, this will be your home from now on. When I have money, I'll get you an even bigger home."

Allen said with a smile. Since there was a Basic Dragon Nest, there must be an Advanced Dragon Nest, but with his current financial resources, he probably couldn't afford it.

But thankfully, once his territory developed, wouldn't he have as much money as he wanted?

"But there's one more thing I almost forgot. You should also have a name, otherwise I can't keep calling you 'little fellow'."

Allen stroked the young dragon's body and then said, "Since you're a Water Dragon and look like a small blue Sapphire, I'll call you Safi, meaning Sapphire."

As Allen spoke, Safi's eyes lit up, and it rubbed against Allen's arm, indicating satisfaction with the name.

"Alright, I'll go prepare food for you. You rest here for a while."

Allen quickly left the Dragon Nest. At this moment, he was standing in his bedroom, and the previous confusion, helplessness, and unwillingness in his eyes were gone.

Now, his eyes only held determination and anticipation.

He pulled the bell beside him, and soon a maid entered from outside and began to help Allen change his clothes.

After getting dressed, Allen began to eat breakfast. At the same time, he asked the servants to prepare an extra portion of roasted meat, which was breakfast for Safi.

After finishing breakfast and giving the roasted meat to Safi, Allen finally focused on the first quest that the System had issued last night.

"Patrol the territory. Reward: 100 experience points and a Natural Spirit!"

A surge of excitement rose in Allen's heart.

After the System's previous prompts, he also knew how to use his System.

He also knew the purpose of experience points.
