After discussing the Senzu Beans with Korin, Vegeta did not take the remaining twelve beans. Instead, he allowed Korin to use all of them as seeds.
According to Korin, he had devoted himself fully to cultivating Senzu Beans over the past six months.
They ripened once per month, producing twenty to thirty beans each time.
But every single time, Yajirobe stole and ate them.
The twelve beans hidden away were the only ones Korin had managed to protect.
Hearing this, the anger Vegeta had just suppressed surged up again.
The scarcity of Senzu Beans was never Korin's fault.
It was entirely due to Yajirobe's sabotage.
In earlier years, there had still been stock.
By the time of the Majin Buu crisis, Korin had been so fed up that he stopped cultivating them seriously, leaving only two or three beans at critical moments.
If Yajirobe hadn't already been exiled, Vegeta might have reconsidered sparing him.
For now, the matter was settled.
Vegeta briefly considered assigning guards to protect Korin Tower and oversee cultivation—but dismissed the idea. It would look like surveillance.
"To my knowledge, Earth also has something called the Super Divine Water," Vegeta said, shifting topics. "It unlocks hidden potential. Correct?"
Korin stiffened.
"You know about that too? Yes, it exists. But it is not merely divine water—it contains lethal poison. Anyone who cannot withstand it dies instantly."
Even knowing Vegeta's strength, Korin felt obligated to clarify.
"To gain power, risk is natural," Vegeta replied calmly. "I came for Senzu Beans first. The Super Divine Water is second."
Korin hesitated, then asked quietly:
"You're already unimaginably strong. Are future enemies truly so terrifying that even you are insufficient?"
Vegeta wasn't surprised.
Yesterday's events had shaken Earth.
"As you see me now, I may seem powerful," Vegeta said evenly. "But before true beings of power—even if I were a thousand times stronger—I would still be an ant."
Korin's fur bristled.
Vegeta could already destroy Earth effortlessly.
If he considered himself an ant… then those beings could likely erase planets—perhaps even universes—with ease.
"Perspective determines everything, meow," Korin murmured. "Earth only began breaking free of its limits when you arrived…"
Vegeta didn't elaborate further.
Korin explained the Super Divine Water.
There were two ways to obtain it.
One was deep in the far north, where one must undergo an illusion trial—like Goku once did.
The other was in a hidden section of Kami's Lookout, deep within Kami's cemetery—accessible only to Kami himself.
Vegeta chose the far north.
He wanted to see the trial.
The illusion trial was not simple.
Even knowing everything was false, even possessing overwhelming power, Vegeta nearly lost himself within the illusion.
Only after reaffirming his own identity did he break free and reach the guardian of the Super Divine Water.
Under the guardian's watch, Vegeta drank it.
He wasn't worried about death.
If he died, Bulma would gather the Dragon Balls and summon Shenron.
And after fully merging with Vegeta's soul, even death wouldn't revert him into someone else.
He was Vegeta.
Drinking the water brought intense pain.
But compared to the near-death agony Goku once experienced, this was tolerable.
Having endured brutal near-death training before, Vegeta merely frowned.
As the effects settled, he analyzed the results.
The Super Divine Water deeply cleansed his body and enhanced his constitution, stimulating hidden potential.
It also refined the purity of his ki.
The improvement wasn't earth-shattering at his level—but it was meaningful.
His battle power now exceeded 16 million.
An increase of over a million.
Not bad.
At this level, ordinary training yielded minimal results.
Only breakthroughs in realm would produce true leaps.
Before leaving, Vegeta marked the northern location with a spatial signature.
In the future, he could bring subordinates there.
A useful shortcut shouldn't be wasted.
Back at Korin Tower, Korin stared at him in disbelief.
"You Saiyans… truly are monsters, aren't you?"
Vegeta smiled faintly.
Compared to humans, perhaps they were.
But in this vast universe, Saiyans were far from the most monstrous race.
"I'll leave Senzu cultivation to you," Vegeta said. "I'll establish psychic communication between us."
"As for the fish I promised—you'll have them."
Korin's eyes sparkled.
"In two months, I can produce over fifty beans," he promised. "If I sacrifice seed reserves, even a hundred."
"Good."
Vegeta returned home via Instant Transmission.
Capsule Corporation had effectively become his residence.
Dr. Brief and his wife fully accepted him.
In the laboratory, Bulma and Dr. Brief carefully dismantled and studied the Time Machine.
The work required precision beyond anything Vegeta would trust himself with.
Several researchers from Planet 79 assisted, while others converted adjacent rooms into communication centers.
Compared to the desolate Planet 79, Earth felt vibrant and alive.
Vegeta quietly withdrew to the backyard and resumed meditation.
Namek
After a day of transition, training resumed.
Kami Piccolo stood watching Piccolo and Nail exchange combat insights.
Since arriving on Namek, he felt a strong sense of belonging.
He didn't want to leave.
But he was Earth's Kami.
And he and Piccolo shared a life bond.
If he died, Piccolo would die too.
He had once intended to take Piccolo with him in death to protect Earth.
But things had changed.
Piccolo was no longer the Demon King.
He was a warrior defending Earth.
Kami Piccolo sighed inwardly.
This era could survive without him.
It could not survive without powerful warriors.
"Dende," he said gently, turning to the young Namekian beside him, "after this crisis, would you come to Earth with me?"
Dende blinked. "Kami Grandpa? Why ask that suddenly?"
Kami Piccolo smiled.
"I don't have much time left. I wish to take you as my disciple… and have you become Earth's next Kami."
Dende panicked.
"I—I can't! You're fine! How could you not have time left?"
Kami Piccolo gently patted his head.
"Some things are fate. Your appearance feels like heaven's gift."
"If I die—or if I fuse with Piccolo—Earth will lose its Dragon Balls."
"You are kind, and suitable."
Dende hesitated.
He was still young.
But he didn't want Kami Grandpa to be sad.
"Believe in yourself," Kami Piccolo coaxed softly.
It almost looked like deception.
From a distance, Piccolo and Nail overheard everything.
Namekians had exceptional hearing.
Neither intervened.
If Dende was willing… perhaps it wasn't a bad future.
After all, bonds between Earth and Namek would only grow stronger.
