After a night of tenderness, Vegeta soothed Bulma's emotions before taking her to Planet 79.
She made several arrangements, brought a few trusted subordinates, and established a stable connection between Earth and Planet 79.
After that, she returned to Earth to focus entirely on researching the Time Machine.
With clear priorities, Bulma believed understanding the Time Machine was the most important matter right now.
As for Dr. Brief, he began investigating Dr. Gero's whereabouts.
He had already started the search yesterday, originally planning to track Dr. Gero using the address he had left behind—but it turned out to be fake.
That made things troublesome.
If Dr. Gero chose to remain hidden, finding him would be extremely difficult.
Vegeta vaguely remembered that the original story mentioned the location of Dr. Gero's secret laboratory—but it had been such vague information that even die-hard fans wouldn't recall it clearly.
There was no choice but to rely on Dr. Brief's connections and investigate slowly.
There was no urgency anyway. If calculated properly, the Android crisis wouldn't erupt for at least another four years.
As for preventing Dr. Gero from turning Lapis and Lazuli into Android 17 and Android 18—it was already too late.
According to Vegeta's estimation, they had likely already been transformed.
Otherwise, Cell wouldn't have chosen this point in time.
Four years was already packed: gathering cells to create Cell, constructing Android 19, and modifying himself into an android. That timeline made sense.
Even if he could prevent Android 17 and Android 18 from existing, Vegeta had no intention of doing so.
If he interfered, Lapis and Lazuli would never become Android 17 and Android 18.
And becoming androids… was their fortuitous encounter.
Though they would be controlled for several years, they would ultimately gain freedom—and immense power.
Since Vegeta couldn't assist with research or investigations, he turned his attention to something else.
Using Instant Transmission, he arrived at Kami's Lookout.
He greeted Mr. Popo briefly before leaping down and flying toward Korin Tower.
If he was on Earth, then the Senzu Beans—and the Super Divine Water—had to be secured.
Especially the Senzu Beans.
He didn't just want what was currently available.
He wanted a sustainable supply.
In the early days of the story, Senzu Beans were stored in large jars. But by the beginning of the Z era, only a handful remained each time.
The reason for the scarcity?
One person.
Yajirobe.
Because of that fat slob, the Senzu Beans had nearly gone extinct.
Otherwise, the Z Fighters wouldn't have been forced to ration them so carefully.
As Vegeta descended, he sensed a familiar ki.
That short, round figure.
That ridiculous outfit.
Who else could it be but Yajirobe?
The moment Vegeta saw him, a trace of cold anger rose in his heart.
Not only because of his prior-life impressions—but because in the original body's memory, this man had cut off his tail.
Though it had grown back, that humiliation was unforgettable.
To Vegeta, Yajirobe was nothing more than an ant among ants.
Yajirobe hadn't noticed him.
It wasn't until Vegeta let out a cold snicker that he turned around.
"What was that? Who's laughing?!" Yajirobe shouted.
Then he saw him.
"Ve-ve-ve-ve—Vegeta!!!"
His body trembled violently as he scrambled backward.
With nowhere to run, he shouted, "Quick! Come out! Where are you hiding, you dead cat?!"
Dead cat.
That was how he referred to Korin.
Even now, he was arrogant.
"How noisy," Vegeta said coldly as he descended onto the platform.
At that moment, Korin floated up from below.
He seemed to have anticipated Vegeta's arrival and showed no fear.
"Greetings, Saiyan Prince. I am Korin. Welcome to Korin Tower."
He secretly glanced at Yajirobe and sighed inwardly.
Yajirobe immediately hid behind Korin like a coward.
That only made Vegeta's earlier humiliation feel even more irritating.
Korin sensed the tension and quickly asked, "May I ask why you've come?"
"Senzu Beans," Vegeta replied flatly.
Straight to the point.
Korin nodded. "I can provide some. However, due to their scarcity and difficulty in cultivation—"
"I don't want some," Vegeta interrupted. "I want all of them. From now on."
Cold sweat formed on Korin's fur.
He had assumed Vegeta only wanted a handful.
This was different.
"I understand how Senzu Beans work," Vegeta continued. "If you cultivate them properly, their yield doubles over time.
The future holds many crises—not just for Earth, but for the entire universe. I need them for training. Kakarot and the others will need them too."
Korin fell silent.
He could tell Vegeta wasn't lying.
Given everything that had happened—Frieza, King Cold, future timelines—this wasn't paranoia.
The silence lingered.
Then Yajirobe broke it.
"Hey! What are you hesitating for, you dead cat? Just agree! He's a Saiyan who kills without blinking! I don't want to die!"
Both Vegeta and Korin looked at him.
Like looking at an idiot.
Korin sighed. "He's just a child who never grew up."
Yajirobe puffed up. "What do you mean?! I'm giving advice! There aren't even any Senzu Beans left in stock! If you don't grow more, we'll starve!"
He spoke self-righteously.
Unaware he was dancing on the edge of death.
"I see," Vegeta said slowly. "So you ate them all."
In the next instant, Vegeta appeared in front of him, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, and stepped to the edge of the tower—holding him over open air.
Yajirobe screamed and flailed wildly.
"Put me down! Help! Help—"
Korin didn't know how to intervene.
"Do you want me to let go?" Vegeta asked calmly.
Yajirobe immediately grabbed Vegeta's arm.
"No! I was wrong! I'll never eat Senzu Beans again!"
"Really?" Vegeta glanced at Korin. "Do you believe him?"
"If his words were reliable, there'd be ghosts," Korin muttered.
"You see? Even a cat doesn't believe you."
Vegeta tilted his hand slightly.
Yajirobe screamed—and wet himself.
"I swear! I swear I'll never steal them again!"
"You're a useless waste of resources," Vegeta said coldly. "If not for Korin, you'd have died a hundred times."
In the next second, Vegeta vanished.
He reappeared on a remote island on the other side of Earth and dropped Yajirobe onto the ground.
Killing him would have been the simplest solution.
But Vegeta didn't want to dirty his hands.
This was mercy—for Korin's sake.
"This time, you live," Vegeta said, murderous aura flooding the air. "If you touch Senzu Beans again, I'll throw you into outer space and let you experience the vacuum."
"Even if you die and go to the Other World, I can send you to hell permanently."
Yajirobe could only mumble incoherently.
Vegeta disappeared.
Back at Korin Tower, Korin looked concerned.
"Where did you send him?"
"A primitive island. He can leave—but I doubt he'll think about Senzu Beans anytime soon."
Korin nodded. "Thank you. If not for him, I would have lived much more peacefully these past years."
"He's a parasite," Vegeta said bluntly. "Now. Cultivate Senzu Beans with everything you have."
"There's no issue," Korin replied. "But seed beans are scarce. To achieve the output you want—dozens per month—it may take years, perhaps decades."
Vegeta narrowed his eyes.
"So you want something in return."
Korin coughed softly.
"Be direct," Vegeta said. "Produce dozens per month, and I'll provide any food you desire. As a cat, you probably haven't tasted fish from other planets."
Korin's eyes lit up instantly.
"Fish… from other planets, meow?"
