"It seems Cell's potential still depends entirely on how much energy he absorbs. What use are cells from powerful beings if his foundation is this weak?"
Vegeta calmly observed Cell, gaining a clearer understanding of him.
To be honest, Cell's weakness had surprised him.
According to the original timeline, Cell came from the future.
The fact that he could kill Future Trunks meant his power should have been at least in the hundreds of millions.
Yet the Cell before him was clearly regressed.
All of that future power was gone.
To travel back to this era, Cell had abandoned everything—strength, progress, and advantage.
It was a desperate gamble.
If Cell had continued hiding like in the original story, Vegeta wouldn't have gone out of his way to find him.
A bug lurking in the dark is the hardest to kill.
Unfortunately for Cell, he revealed himself—and even mistook Vegeta and Nappa for prey.
Vegeta quickly realized the reason.
Cell clearly believed that Vegeta and Nappa had just arrived on Earth.
Otherwise, with his current pitiful strength, Cell wouldn't have dared show his face even if he had ten times the courage.
"Hmph! Good. I'll use you to test myself. I've been cooped up for too long."
Before Vegeta could move, Nappa charged forward impatiently.
Simple-minded. Reckless.
Without a scouter and unable to sense ki, Nappa saw Cell as nothing more than a strange monster—perfect for testing his newfound strength.
Cell watched him rush in, mockery flashing in his eyes.
Nappa didn't notice.
Electric currents wrapped around his body as he focused his energy, throwing a punch that seemed capable of shattering the Earth itself.
Cell sidestepped effortlessly.
The punch hit nothing but air.
Nappa froze.
Then frowned.
I'm not used to my resurrected body yet, he thought.
Immediately, he launched a frenzy of punches and kicks, a storm of brute force crashing toward Cell.
In the past, this would have been deadly—even fighters with power levels over ten thousand wouldn't dare take it head-on.
But to Cell?
It was laughable.
Retaining his memories from before his regression, Cell's combat instincts far surpassed Nappa's.
After toying with him for a moment, Cell grew bored.
With a casual flick of his tail, he sent Nappa flying.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Nappa's body tore through the ruins, explosions echoing as the already shattered wasteland collapsed even further.
As Cell moved in to absorb Nappa's life force, Vegeta's eyes narrowed.
In the next instant, Vegeta appeared in front of Cell and kicked him away without hesitation.
He stood before Nappa, arms crossed.
Nappa was done.
Cell's tail strike had nearly killed him.
Vegeta knew Cell had intentionally spared him—serious injuries meant more energy to absorb later.
"Vegeta…"
Cell steadied himself, finally feeling genuine vigilance.
In his future memories, Vegeta had been a threat.
But something was wrong.
Cell couldn't understand it.
"The data says your power level at this time should only be eighteen thousand… How did you kick me away?" Cell muttered, confused.
"Hmph." Vegeta scoffed. "Eighteen thousand? That was a long time ago."
Cell froze.
Then his eyes widened.
"You… you know who I am?! You're not surprised at all?!"
"At least you're not completely stupid," Vegeta said coldly. "You've finally realized that I know about your existence."
Cold sweat poured down Cell's face.
"Impossible! I never appeared after coming to this era! And you should've just arrived on Earth!"
"Who told you we just arrived?" Vegeta stepped closer, lips curling.
"Look around, idiot. These battle scars are ancient."
Cell stumbled back in terror.
Vegeta's aura leaked ever so slightly—and it was enough to make Cell's cells scream.
"I was hoping you'd grow into your Perfect Form," Vegeta said calmly.
"But I don't have time to play games with insects."
Hope flashed in Cell's eyes—then vanished instantly.
Before he could speak, Vegeta punched straight through his abdomen.
"So fragile," Vegeta sneered. "With me in this world, you never had a chance."
A horrifying realization struck Cell.
"You… you were reborn too—!"
Purple blood sprayed from his mouth, splattering onto Vegeta.
The stench was unbearable.
Vegeta's expression darkened.
He ripped his hand free, unleashed his aura, vaporized the filth, and sent Cell flying skyward with a single blow.
Vegeta raised his hand.
Power condensed.
Big Bang Attack.
After killing King Cold, Vegeta had refined this technique even further.
This was no ordinary Big Bang Attack.
It was far stronger than anything from the original timeline.
Cell's instincts screamed.
"No! I won't die here! I'll destroy Earth—take you with me!"
Driven by desperation, Cell unleashed everything he had, firing a massive Kamehameha downward.
"Fool," Vegeta said coldly.
"You think that can destroy Earth? Disappear, Cell. You should never have existed."
Vegeta transformed.
Super Saiyan — First Stage Full Power.
Golden light engulfed the battlefield.
The Big Bang Attack was released.
There was no struggle.
No clash.
The difference was absolute.
Cell's Kamehameha was crushed instantly.
The attack swallowed him whole, erasing his body and soul completely.
The explosion tore into space, its shockwave powerful enough to shatter stars.
Cell—annihilated.
"It's over," Vegeta said quietly.
He turned to Nappa.
Despite his injuries, Nappa was staring in awe, eyes blazing.
"Super Saiyan… This is Super Saiyan!"
Witnessing it firsthand shattered everything he knew.
His loyalty deepened beyond reason.
Vegeta smirked.
With this display, Nappa would never disobey.
He might be weak, but he could still serve a purpose—especially for Bulma.
Vegeta grabbed Nappa's shoulder.
"Enough staring. You're coming with me."
Instant Transmission.
West City
Bulma's House
Bulma and Dr. Brief tensed when Vegeta appeared—with Nappa.
The fear from the past resurfaced instantly.
Vegeta smacked Nappa on the head.
Hard.
"Remember this," Vegeta said coldly.
"Your slaughter on Earth left scars. From now on, if you stay here, you behave. Low-key. If you go wild again, I'll kill you myself."
Nappa nodded vigorously.
Bulma leaned closer to Vegeta. "Can he really be trusted?"
"You stinky woman—"
Smack.
"She is my Queen."
Nappa froze.
"…I understand," he said quickly, lowering his head as his attitude toward Bulma changed completely.
A new order had been established.
And Nappa would never forget it.
