[IRIS]
I had survived the practical.
Somehow.
Against all odds, I had managed to manifest my arcane and, more importantly, avoid being expelled from the academy.
For now, at least.
What's more, it seemed like I didn't need to drink that vial Zephyros gave me. I could still feel my arcane although faint.
That meant I could use my powers now, though weak.
It should have been enough to make me sleep peacefully.
Instead, I lay awake on my bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
I had bought myself another day inside the academy.
But I had no idea whether I could survive the remaining days with Sol's every thought of murdering me.
That thought had been pushed aside earlier by the sheer relief of passing the practical. For a few precious hours, I had been too happy to think about the consequences of my promise with him.
Now, in the quiet of the night, reality had returned.
Sol must be furious.
I couldn't blame him.
