"Bullshit. You're just doing this to mess with me. And him." He pointed accusingly at Giyuu, who was starting to feel even more uncomfortable. Sanemi's expression darkened at Obanai's accusation. "Watch your mouth, Iguro. I'm serious about Giyuu. And if you can't accept that, then maybe you should mind your own business like I said."
He took a step closer to Obanai, towering over him menacingly. Obanai backed off slightly, realizing he might have pushed too far. He looked at Giyuu again, this time with a mix of concern and confusion.
"Tomioka, are you really okay with this? Sanemi's not forcing you, is he?" He asked, his tone softening a bit. Giyuu finally spoke up, stepping out from behind Sanemi. "No, he's not forcing me. I... I like him, Iguro. We're happy together." He reached for Sanemi's hand again, squeezing it for reassurance.
Obanai's expression softened further, though he still looked conflicted.
"Fine. I just don't want to see you get hurt, Tomioka."
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"But if he does anything to you, I'll kick his ass."
Sanemi chuckled again, amused by Obanai's protective nature. "You can try, snake boy. But I'd like to see you try." He challenged, giving Obanai a cocky grin. Obanai rolled his eyes and turned to leave.
"Whatever. Just remember what I said, Tomioka." He walked away, muttering something about "idiots in love" under his breath.
Sanemi watched Obanai go, then turned to Giyuu with a mischievous grin.
"See? Even he thinks we're cute together. Now, let's go to class and show everyone else." He started walking towards their classroom, still holding Giyuu's hand.
As they entered the classroom, Giyuu felt all eyes on them again. This time, there were some whispers of "aww" mixed in with the gossip. Mitsuri, who was sitting at her desk, squealed excitedly when she saw them. Mitsuri jumped up and rushed over to them, practically bouncing with excitement.
"Oh my gosh! You two are so adorable! When did this happen? Tell me everything!"
She grabbed both their arms, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. Sanemi groaned at Mitsuri's enthusiasm, but Giyuu couldn't help but smile at her reaction.
"Pinky, calm down. We'll tell you later, okay?"
He said, trying to keep her from bombarding them with questions in front of the whole class. Mitsuri pouted but nodded, letting go of them reluctantly.
"Fine, but you better not leave out any details! I want to know how Sanemi confessed!" She winked at Giyuu before returning to her seat, where Shinobu was waiting with a knowing smirk. Giyuu chuckled a bit finding it very funny. "He wasn't the one who confessed first."
Mitsuri gasped dramatically, and Shinobu's smirk grew wider. "No way! Giyuu confessed first? This is getting better by the second!" Mitsuri turned to Shinobu, practically vibrating with excitement. Sanemi blushed slightly, looking embarrassed that Giyuu revealed that information. "Shut up, pinky. It's not that big of a deal."
He muttered, avoiding eye contact with anyone while Giyuu chuckled at his flustered state. Shinobu chimed in with a teasing tone. "Oh, it's definitely a big deal. The mighty Sanemi being confessed to by our stoic Giyuu? That's quite the turn of events."
She leaned back in her chair, thoroughly enjoying Sanemi's discomfort. Sanemi shot Shinobu a glare, but Giyuu could tell he was secretly enjoying the attention. "I swear, I'm going to poison your tea later, Shinobu."
He threatened playfully, though it lacked his usual seriousness. "Na na don't steal my favorite sentence." Sanemi rolled his eyes again, crossing his arms defensively. "Whatever. I'll just have to come up with a better threat." He glanced at Giyuu, silently asking for backup against Shinobu's teasing. Giyuu wrapped an arm around Sanemi's waist, pulling him closer.
"Leave him alone, Shinobu. You're being mean."
He said protectively, sticking his tongue out at her. Shinobu laughed at Giyuu's childish gesture, but raised her hands in surrender. "Fine, fine. I'll stop. But you two are too cute together, it's hard not to tease."
She smirked at the sight of Sanemi leaning into Giyuu's embrace.
The bell rang, signaling the start of class. Sanemi reluctantly pulled away from Giyuu to sit down, but not before giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Their teacher, Mr. Urokodaki, entered the room and looked at them with a raised eyebrow. "Ah, so the rumors are true. Congratulations, boys." Giyuu blushed at the public display of affection and Mr. Urokodaki's comment, while Sanemi just smirked at their teacher.
"Thanks, old man. We're happy."
Sanemi replied casually, not caring about the surprised gasps from other students. Mr. Urokodaki chuckled and shook his head, then addressed the class. "Well, since everyone seems to be distracted by our new couple, let's get started on today's lesson."
He began writing on the board, but many students kept sneaking glances at Giyuu and Sanemi. During class, Sanemi kept passing notes to Giyuu, each one getting more flirtatious than the last. One read: 'I can't focus when you're sitting there looking so pretty.' Giyuu blushed at the note, quickly scribbling back: 'Stop distracting me, Shinazugawa.'
He tried to maintain his composure, but his heart was racing from Sanemi's attention.* Sanemi's response was a cheeky grin and another note that said: 'But it's so fun to see you flustered.' He blew a kiss at Giyuu, causing some girls in the front row to squeal again. Mr. Urokodaki cleared his throat loudly, giving Sanemi a stern look.
