Chapter 2 - (ch2)the outer god’s game

Within a void absent of light, Ron's eyes snapped open, mind still reeling from his rather abrupt death.

"Gah! What is this! Where am I!? Tony, if this is another one of your sick jokes I will make sure your paycheck gets slashed!"

Silence was all that responded to Ron's outburst. After who knows how long cursing, Ron finally came around to accept the facts. He was dead. And he would put his money on it too if the translucent view of his torso was anything to go by.

"My, my, aren't you a vigorous individual."

Ron shielded his somehow irritated eyes as a flash of red filled his vision. When his eyes finally adjusted, he found himself speechless as before him was an ocean of red- blood, judging by the overbearing smell of iron.

"What is this? Who-or what- are you?"

"Ohh Ron… you, of all people should know who I am. After all, you had slain my devoted servant in his own palace."

Ron's ghost brows furrowed at that. "Listen..Mam? I haven't killed anyone in my life so what nonsense are you…" Ron could feel the gears turning in his head. 'Wait…blood?servant?palace?'

And then it clicked. "Are you talking about Mohg!?"

The blood sea rippled as the sound of laughter rang out. "You are a lot sharper then you seem. Yes, the lord of blood was, in fact my servant. But I didn't bring you here to settle accounts. I'm simply finding a replacement."

"Replacement?"

"Yes. You see, I had happened upon a curious little world with powers, and yet no demigod to be seen. I was going to send my servant there to have something to pass the time. The void can get a bit dull when all I have for company is a crazy flame, a silent behemoth still sleeping in one of his followers, and a control freak that seems to hate my guts. But then you had somehow destroyed his soul through a box with glowing lights."

Ron already didn't like where this was going. "So you plan to send me in his place."

"Yes! You will be going to this 'hero world' to create more wounds,Ron. Or should I say…my sweet, loyal Mohgwyn?"

Ron was no fool at what the last part of that statement was about. Turning as quickly as he could, Ron tried to sprint into the distance, wherever that was. It was a way better deal than being bound to serve an outer good who likes bleeding.

But the wave of blood was faster. It coiled around his form, submerging him and leaving him breathless. Ron's consciousness fades to black, as his ethereal figure is spirited away.

Not long after, the void was filled with another brilliant light, this one a glistening gold. From it a massive worm like creature with multiple sets of fins and transparent skin emerged. Within its body, a nervous system of golden light could be seen, radiating light that somehow seemed upset.

The formless mother materialized a hand of blood to wave off the creature. "Oh, don't be such a spoil sport. I'm not intruding on your territory. Besides, a bit of fun wouldn't hurt you."

The newly arrived Elden beast flickered in a dazzling light before a sword materialized into its hand. With a wave, an arc of holy light sliced through the blood sea. Yet a moment after, the blood simply pulled itself together.

"You quite the rude guest. You should head back to your precious little gold stick, it seems you have another problem yourself. Oh and it seems they are meeting with Fellan! Weird how he decided to fuse with the last giant though…"

The formless mother turned to find the Elden beast had already left. "Rude…"
