Chapter 2 - Land of Kingdoms

After the self-destruction that Yashion caused, the sun rose on a new day...

In a small house far from the city, Yamo and Ryuga were asleep at their aunt's home, while Shion and her sister Shiran were preparing breakfast in an atmosphere filled with sadness and heavy silence.

Shion tried to wake up her sons for breakfast, but neither of them had an appetite.

Ryuga turned on the TV out of boredom, and suddenly the news broadcasted a shocking headline:

A mysterious explosion in one of the neighborhoods — and the house shown on the screen… was their old home.

Shion stepped closer to the screen, her voice trembling:

> "That's… that's our house…"

The reporter announced that the body found in the ruins belonged to a man named Yashion. His face was unrecognizable, but everything around him confirmed it was him.

Tears streamed down Shion's face as chaos filled the room.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. Silence fell.

Ryuga went to open it — a man in a formal suit and dark glasses stood before him.

> "Hello… are you Yashion's son?"

Ryuga answered nervously:

> "Yes, I am."

The man asked calmly:

> "Are you alone here?"

Ryuga hesitated, then said:

> "No… my mother, brother, and aunt are with me."

The man nodded slightly.

> "Good. I'd like to speak with all of you."

Inside, the three sat before him in silence. Finally, the man spoke:

> "The two people who attacked your house… are extremely dangerous. You must stay hidden. They probably won't find you here."

Ryuga clenched his fists in anger.

> "You know them, don't you? Why didn't you tell the police?!"

The man smiled faintly.

> "The police? They can't deal with Kanka users."

Yamo whispered in confusion:

> "Kanka? What's Kanka?"

The man replied seriously:

> "This isn't the time for explanations, but… I can make you an offer."

Ryuga raised an eyebrow.

> "An offer?"

> "Yes," the man said. "If one of you comes with me to the Land of Kingdoms, I will grant you any wish you ask for."

They stared at him in disbelief. None of them had ever heard of such a place.

Yamo asked:

> "The Land of Kingdoms? What kind of place is that?"

The man smiled slightly:

> "It's where those two men came from. There are eleven kingdoms, and everyone there wields the power of Kanka. Your father… was one of them."

Ryuga's eyes widened.

> "What?! My father was a Kanka user?!"

The man nodded.

> "Yes. He escaped from the Land of Kingdoms and lived among humans."

Then he looked at them seriously.

> "Now… which one of you will come with me?"

Silence filled the room — until Yamo spoke:

> "I'll go."

His mother, Shion, shouted in shock:

> "Impossible! Your leg is broken! Even if you go, what can you possibly do?!"

The man interrupted calmly:

> "Don't worry. In the Land of Kingdoms, he'll be able to walk again. That's the reward I'll give in exchange for his journey."

Yamo looked at his mother firmly.

> "I'm going."

The man replied:

> "Prepare yourself… we leave at three after midnight."

---

At exactly 3:00 a.m., Yamo sat quietly by the door, ready to leave. Shion and Ryuga stood behind him, their eyes full of tears.

They tried to stop him, but he was determined.

Outside, the mysterious man waited, murmuring with a faint smile:

> "Yashion's son… I couldn't take both, but one will be enough. The commander will be pleased."

Yamo finally stepped out. He turned to his mother and brother and said softly but firmly:

> "I'll come back for you both… Ryuga, take care of Mom."

Ryuga nodded silently while Shion struggled to hold back her tears.

Yamo got into the car with the man, and their journey into the dark night began.

After a few minutes of silence, Yamo asked quietly:

> "What's your name?"

The man replied, eyes fixed ahead:

> "My name is Jeon."

Silence again — until they reached the island's border.

A massive barrier surrounded the island.

Jeon stopped the car, turned to Yamo, and said:

> "Close your eyes."

He raised his hand; a blue ring gleamed on his finger.

He muttered strange words:

> "Transformation – Level One!"

In an instant, he leapt high into the air, carrying Yamo with him over the colossal barrier.

When Yamo opened his eyes, he saw a massive ship waiting in the sea, with two figures standing on its deck.

One of them waved and said:

> "You're late, Jeon."

Jeon smiled.

> "Sorry, I had a few issues."

The three boarded the ship. Jeon gestured toward the lower deck.

> "Go downstairs and rest."

A girl among them frowned.

> "There's only one room!"

Jeon smirked coldly.

> "If you don't like it… you can swim home."

Silence fell. They all went down to the room.

Jeon closed the door behind them. Anxiety crept into Yamo's chest — everyone sat in silence, each in their own corner.

Yamo finally spoke:

> "Do you two know each other?"

No answer.

Above deck, Jeon stood staring at the sea. He raised his hand, pressing the ring.

> "Transformation – Level Three…"

He placed his palm on the ship's surface and whispered:

> "Boost… six times."

The ship trembled violently, then surged forward at an incredible speed through the darkness.

---

By 11 a.m., Yamo, the girl, and the other passenger sat quietly below deck, waiting to arrive.

Suddenly, the ship stopped. Silence — until the door burst open.

Jeon stood there with a faint smile.

> "We've arrived."

They stepped out, and a blinding light struck their eyes.

When their vision cleared, they froze in awe — before them rose a colossal castle among the clouds, surrounded by fluttering banners of every color.

Yamo whispered in amazement:

> "Is… this where I'll live?"

Jeon nodded with a short smile.

> "Yes. This is the Kingdom of Kagetsu."

Yamo's excitement grew as he looked around.

Jeon carried him toward the castle gates guarded by two men in black armor marked with a strange symbol — a gem with an eye in its center.

Jeon murmured a few strange words to them, then turned to the group.

> "Let's go in."

They passed through the gate and walked a long corridor until they reached a building resembling a hospital.

Inside, the walls glowed with symbols similar to those on Jeon's ring.

Jeon led Yamo into a room where a man in unusual clothes awaited.

> "He has a minor fracture," Jeon said.

Yamo whispered to himself, surprised:

> "Minor?"

The man pointed to a bed.

> "Lay him there."

Jeon left the room. Ten minutes later, the door opened — and Yamo stepped out, standing on his own feet.

He looked at Jeon, eyes wide with disbelief and joy.

> "I'm completely healed! How did they do that?!"

Jeon smiled faintly and stepped closer.

> "Haven't you wondered why you came here?"

Yamo froze, waiting for the answer.

Jeon leaned in and whispered:

> "Because you're going to fight… for the Kingdom."
