Jimmy's POV
My body went rigid, voice shaking slightly. "When did you wake up?"
"Right when you were mumbling to yourself with that picture in your hands," Evelin said, sitting up to face me. "What's going on? You seem off."
"Nothing," I answered quickly.
Before I could react, she tugged me down onto the couch, pressing her palm against my forehead. "You don't have a fever, but you look terrible."
"Work's been brutal lately. Haven't been getting much sleep with everything at the company," I lied smoothly.
"So what were you whispering about with that photo?" she pressed.
I watched her expression carefully, looking for any hint of recognition.
She clearly hadn't heard what I'd actually said. If she had, she wouldn't be asking.
"Just wishing we could track down your brother faster," I replied.
"Thank you," Evelin said, aware that I'd even pulled in the Hamilton family's connections to help with her search.
