Evelin's POV
With that, I flung the pendant necklace back at Gregory, then spun around and grabbed Jaxson's arm as I stormed out.
The bodyguards moved to block us again, but Gregory lifted his hand. "Let them go," he commanded.
The guards stepped aside.
Jaxson and I walked out of the room and made our way toward the hotel lobby.
"Your shoulder's bleeding again," Jaxson said, his brow creased with worry. "We need to stop that bleeding right now. The concierge desk should have a first aid kit."
"It's nothing serious. Don't stress about it," I replied.
"How can I not stress? You're my sister," he insisted.

Even without his memories fully restored, Jaxson was still the same—like nothing had ever changed between us.
Jaxson guided me to the concierge desk, where a female staff member gently cleaned and rebandaged my shoulder with fresh gauze to control the bleeding.
