Evelin's POV
I spun around, my brow creasing the instant I heard that voice.
Grey had called out to me.
"Grey, I've made it crystal clear—you don't get to call me that," I said, letting every ounce of contempt drip from my words.
"Fine, if that's what you want, I'll stop," Grey replied. "So how've you been lately?"
"Are you kidding me, Grey? That's none of your fucking business. We're divorced, remember? Cut the fake concern," I shot back, not even trying to mask my irritation.
Hilarious how he never once asked during our entire marriage, I thought, bitterness rising in my chest.
But now that we're done, suddenly he gives a damn. What a complete joke.
"I'm being real with you. I actually care. Look, I know I messed up royally before, but Grace had me twisted around her finger, making me believe she was my savior," Grey said, scrambling to justify himself.
