Evelin's POV
I chewed on my lower lip. "No, I was just curious. You don't need to tell me if you'd rather not."
"What if I said I just can't get any rest lately?" Jimmy replied. "Eve, since we ended things, I can't sleep anymore. Would that make you feel bad for me? Would you take pity and come back to me, hold my hand so I could finally rest?"
I stopped walking and turned to look at him directly. "If you're really having trouble sleeping, you need to talk to a doctor."
"But what if the doctor doesn't help, and you're the only medicine that works?" he pressed.
"Jimmy, I'm not a physician. I can't fix your sleep problems," I said firmly.
"Right, you're not a doctor," he whispered, letting it drop and gesturing for me to continue browsing the dresses.
