Evelin's POV
"Great, just what I needed—running into these idiots," Selina grumbled, eyes rolling hard.
I smirked back at her. "Pretend they don't exist."
Fat chance. Grey and Grace spotted me right away.
Grey yanked his horse's reins, blocking my path with that familiar scowl. "What the fuck are you doing here?"
I shot him an icy smile. "Could ask you the same thing. This your big 'emergency meeting'?"
Guilt flashed across his features for a split second.
Selina let out a harsh laugh. "What's next, conference rooms at the local dive bar?"
Grey's expression turned dangerous. "Guard your mouth, Selina. Friend of Evelin's or not, keep pushing and you'll regret it."
"Bring it on!" Selina snapped, chin raised like she was ready to throw down.
His stare turned lethal.
I stepped between them, fury blazing in my chest. "Touch her, Grey, and I'll blast your little affair all over town."
"You wouldn't," he snarled.
"Try me," I shot back.
