Watching Nine eat together with Sheila's group, Elaine thought to herself: 'Guess, he wasn't lying about not holding grudges on anyone.'
Remembering one of their morning meetup conversations. A while ago, just like every morning they had, Elaine asked Nine's opinion on forgiving people who wronged him.
Nine answered back then with: "Holding grudges is stupid." Then went silent, not giving any more details on his words.
"Still. This guy will have another nickname after this." Elaine whispered, recalling Nine's nickname he obtained the course all this time.
Nine although not well known, is kinda famous within the town for his weird nicknames, such as:
The South sole collector, a nickname given to him for being the only one to collect herbs in the South.
The hermit adventurer, a nickname given to him for being in the library studying for months without stopping.
The culinary saint, given to him after the town learns that everything Marie sells in her shop comes from his idea.
The SSK or Slime Salt Killer, is named after people seeing him killing slimes with salt.
"Sigh, you're too famous for your own Nine," Elaine whispered, looking at them eating in the dining area.
After the six had eaten to their fill, Nine separated from them and went back to his Inn, put on fresh clothes, and made his way back to the plain.
Looking around for the Nun before, Nine spotted her healing a child's wound. Moving towards them, Nine said: "I'm here for the promise a while ago."
Looking up, the Nun found Nine standing up. Fixing the child's wound, she said: "Thanks for coming to help."
"No worries, this isn't a problem with me. So, what should I do?" Nine asked, jumping up and down in his position readying himself to work.
"Hmm. Can you catch one of those slimy ones and let these kids take the last hit for them?" The Nun said. Hearing her words, Nine created ten 1/4 paper and placed the runes of [Attached] and [Paralyzed] within them.
He locked eyes with the soccer ball-sized slimes before him and lunged towards them. With a swift movement, Nine captured 7 blue slime, completely paralyzed by his rune-infused paper.
Putting them down near the Nun, he asked: "Should I capture more?" Recreating what he had done a moment ago.
Nodding, the Nun gave the children a wooden dagger and told them to stab the slime core, while Nine went around capturing more slimes for them.
With Nine doing the capturing of slimes while she gives instructions on how to kill the slimes, the children she's watching over leveled up without a problem.
And in a few hours, all 13 kids reached their limit levels and made their way home before sunset. Walking her back to the temple, Nine muttered:
"Lucky." After the children reached level 7, each one of them gave Nine one SP point, for helping them with their hunt.
"Thank you for helping today." The Nun said, feeling grateful for Nine helping her with her duty.
"I can get back to the temple on my own from here now." She said, saying thanks and goodbye to Nine.
