Kirby moved a step back, already muttering a prayer.
"We brought it! Just give us our friend and we'll leave." Kirby said.
Ray stood where he was. The man that emerged from the mirror was him.
Not just because of the undistinguishable resemblance, he felt like he knew him from somewhere.
His eyes fell to his copy's sleeve.
"Hand it over, Ray."
"Bring her out first. I'm not giving you anything until we see her."
Kirby took a step forward.
"We can take you!"
Ray glared at Kirby.
"Oh? You thought I came alone?"
Another Kirby stepped into the light. His eyes were shadowed, but there was no mistaking the menace in it.
"Hi, Kirbs. Why are you out so late?"
Kirby moved to stand behind Ray.
"Give it to them."
"What about Sa-"
"We don't have a choice!" He whispered furiously, his voice cracking.
Ray forced his trembling hands to dig into his pockets and retrieve the glass object.
