Chapter 168 - Chapter 165

Dinner in the Great Hall was unusually lively that night. Word about the Triwizard Tournament had already spread like wildfire, and excitement buzzed between every table.

Dumbledore stood, his voice magically amplified.

"Students," he said with a twinkle in his eyes, "as you know, the Triwizard Tournament will soon begin. This year, we will also be inviting a special guest—one whose presence will be of great significance."

Instantly, the Great Hall erupted.

"Who is it?""Is it a Minister?""Some famous wizard?""Maybe an Auror commander!"

Dumbledore simply raised a hand, that same infuriating smile playing on his lips.

"You will find out soon."

And just like that, he sat back down.

But the strangest part was not the announcement.

It was the moment Dumbledore looked directly at Roy, eyes sparkling with mischief and knowledge.

Roy blinked. What is the old man planning now?

Daphne nudged him. "Why is he smiling at you like that?"

Roy sighed. "Your guess is as good as mine."

The Next Morning – A Legendary Visitor

Breakfast the next day started normally… until the ceiling above the Great Hall rippled with frost-blue light.

A chilling wind swept through the hall.

Gasps echoed.

From the enchanted sky descended a majestic bird — wings trailing cold mist, feathers shimmering like ice crystals catching sunlight.

Articuno.

Half the school stood up in shock. The ones who knew Articuno belonged to Roy stared in awe — even Slytherins whispered.

Cho murmured, "Every time I see it… I can't believe that's actually his companion."

Even professors paused mid-bite.

Articuno landed gracefully at Roy's side, bowing its head with elegant pride. A sealed letter, scented with cold air, was tied to its leg.

The envelope bore a royal crest:Valvas Family Sigil.

Roy's heart skipped.

He untied the letter, hesitated for a breath, then opened it.

The Letter From: Darius Valvas & Clara ValvasTo: Our Grandson, Roy

My dear grandson,We have received the invitation from Hogwarts. As the head of the Valvas family, I, Darius Valvas, and your grandmother Clara will attend the Triwizard Tournament as the special guests of the event. We look forward to seeing how our house's young star has grown.Prepare yourself. We will arrive soon.

With pride,Darius ValvasClara Valvas

Roy went completely still.

Grandfather… and Grandmother… coming here?As the special guests?!

He slowly lowered the parchment and looked toward the teachers' table.

Dumbledore was eating his porridge like nothing was happening.

Then he casually lifted his eyes…

…and smiled directly at Roy.

Roy felt a headache forming.

This old man is absolutely planning something for the Tournament.First Crouch Jr. as Moody. Now inviting the Valvas elders. What is he cooking?

Roy exhaled deeply, rubbed his forehead, and flicked the letter with a small flame spell — the parchment dissolved silently into harmless smoke.

Articuno chirped proudly.

Roy smiled and gave the legendary bird a handful of frosty treats.

Across the hall, Fawkes the phoenix perked up.

He let out a warm trill.

Articuno trilled back.

And in the next moment, the phoenix and the legendary ice bird flew out of the Great Hall like two mythical creatures comparing notes — leaving a trail of sparks and frost behind.

Students stared, jaws open.

Neville whispered, "Roy's pets… are literally legendary and mythical beings."

Hermione muttered, "Hagrid will faint when he sees them together."

Harry grinned. "At this point, I'm not even surprised."

Ron didn't say anything — just watched silently, distant and cold.

Side Note: Penelope's Path

Penelope Clearwater, now graduated, had taken up her internship at the Liyue Store, one of the most prestigious cross-magical trading posts. She'd written to Roy recently:

"The Liyue Store keeps expanding. Your innovations are already being discussed by international merchants. I'm proud of you."

Roy kept her letter stored safely — Penelope had been a dear friend, almost like an older sister.

Roy leaned back at the Ravenclaw table, tired already.

"Grandparents coming…" he murmured.

Daphne smirked. "Should we prepare the castle for an earthquake?"

Hermione laughed. "Or a storm?"

Roy sighed dramatically."…Try both."
