Cornelia's POV
My body felt weightless as David swept me up effortlessly, tossing me over his broad shoulder like I was nothing more than a rag doll. His long strides carried us toward the house with determined purpose.
"I have legs that work perfectly fine!" I protested, squirming against his hold even as that treacherous part of me melted at how easily he could manhandle me without even breathing hard.
"Sure you do," David replied, his palm connecting sharply with my backside.
The sudden contact made me freeze completely, my eyes going wide with shock. He had just smacked my ass. And the worst part? I absolutely loved it. Every nerve ending in my body lit up with electric pleasure.
"That's my good girl." His low rumble sent heat flooding straight to my core, my cheeks burning crimson. The way those words rolled off his tongue made something deep inside me clench with need. What was happening to me?
