Sleep had come easily to me last night, but my wolf Krista remained restless throughout the dark hours. The protective instincts coursing through our bond made it impossible for him to find peace.
"The necklace connection exists only because of our bloodline's ancient memories," Krista snarled in my mind. "Garcia speaks truth when she says we should be grateful for Rowan's arrogance revealing this mystery."
