In an open, dusty field nestled beneath the towering, jagged slopes of a huge mountain range, two colossal forces were arrayed against each other, ready for the battle that was about to break. The air crackled with tension, the sunlight glinting off thousands of bronze helmets and spear tips.

The four companions—Kassandra, Atlas, Alexios, and Lukas—fully armored and ready for war, arrived at the Spartan side of the field. They were walking toward the main line when they saw Nikolaos, mounted on a dark horse, boosting the morale of his soldiers one last time, his voice a thunderclap of Spartan pride.

Alexios, his arms crossed tightly over his chest, watched his birth father with a deep scowl. He leaned toward Atlas. "So, Atlas, how do you want us to do this? Do you have a plan? We can't just charge their entire line."

Atlas looked at the three of them, noting the serious, hardened expressions that had replaced their former playfulness. He appreciated that they were thinking strategically now.

"It's very simple, actually," Atlas said, his voice quiet against the rising clamor of the army. "We just need to target and kill the Athenian commanders and captains commanding the attack. Cut the snake's head off, and the body collapses. That way, the soldiers' morale will shatter, making them surrender quickly and saving thousands of lives."

Alexios, still skeptical, asked in confusion, "How do we identify them when we are in the middle of battle? They all wear bronze and blue."

Atlas looked at him with a genuinely confused expression, pausing for a beat. "Did you forget the special sight I taught you years ago? The one that lets you perceive the intentions and positions of your targets?"

He shook his head slightly. "The Eagle Vision. As long as you focus and use it, you can easily identify them. The commanders will glow with a bright light because they are the key to the fight."

Alexios and Lukas exchanged looks of realization, their expressions clearing.

Lukas scratched his thick beard. "Malaka! I did forget about Eagle Vision. After all, we haven't used it much since leaving Argos—life has been too fast-paced."

Alexios nodded in agreement. "I thought that was just a trick we used to cheat at dice as children!"

Alexios instantly closed his eyes, focusing his mind and activating the ability. When he opened them, the world was tinted slightly, and looking at the massive Athenian troops, he saw a golden aura around certain individuals—the captains and commanders.

"I can see them clearly now," Alexios whispered, a predatory grin spreading across his face. "They are lit up like torches."

Lukas, who had also activated his sight, nodded, his eyes wide.

Kassandra, however, was extremely confused. She looked from one brother to the other, then at Atlas, bewildered.

"What are you talking about?" she asked in a confused tone. "What eagle vision? What golden light?"

The three men stopped, suddenly realizing their mistake. They had completely forgotten that Kassandra had been separated from them during the years they had spent training with Atlas.

Alexios instantly laughed, seeing a perfect opportunity for mischief. He teased Kassandra mercilessly. "Oh right, you didn't learn about Eagle Vision, Kass! Do you want to learn it, sister? If you do, you just need to tell everyone that I, Alexios, am better than you in everything, and then I'll teach you!"

Kassandra's eyes narrowed. "In your dreams, little brother."

Before they could continue the escalating sibling rivalry, Atlas cut them off, his voice carrying the authority of an immediate battle.

"Alright, you two! We have more important things to deal with right now than old grievances." He turned to Kassandra, his expression calm but firm. "Kassandra, I promise I will teach you the Eagle Vision after this war is over. It's a powerful insight, not a parlor trick."

He quickly offered a practical solution. "For now, to identify the enemy's commander, just use your instincts. More obviously, they usually have a very different, highly decorated helmet and armor than the rest of the soldiers. Look for the ornate crests and the men they follow."

Just as Atlas finished his last sentence, a harsh, winding trumpet blast sounded from the Athenian lines—the signal to advance.

In an instant, the battle had started. Both forces sounded their battle cries, thousands of voices combining into a single, terrifying roar. A massive wave of humans started running toward each other, bronze shields locked in rigid formations, prepared to collide.

The four saw the inevitable carnage about to unfold. Atlas took a deep breath, his own eyes scanning the Athenian officers glowing faintly in his enhanced perception.

He signaled the three to follow, raising his voice above the growing din of war.

"Good luck. And good hunting."

With that, Atlas sprinted toward the approaching lines, disappearing into the chaos, the three heavily armored companions close behind him.
