Chapter 25 - Under The Tree
The work did not get any easier in the following days. Instead, the palace became filled with different guests. Those guests brought their workers and bloodpets. Across the guests, Idalia noticed that Rosabel had been right. The workers and the bloodpets' treatments varied in accordance with the class of vampire they accompanied. But no matter what class it was, the bloodpets were always treated better.
Amongst those bloodpets though, one stood out to Idalia. Maybe, it was how it seemed like she was being guarded, or the displeased look on her face despite how better than others she seemed to be treated or something else. Idalia wasn't sure but she couldn't shake the strange feeling off.
It wasn't after a good while had passed that she remembered who she was.
It was the lady from the auction. The one who had screamed about her mother being a district governor. Now, she was a bloodpet?
Sad, but interesting.
Could she perhaps be of use to her?
