~Darlon's POV
I swallowed hard, sitting down beside the stretcher. I pressed my hand gently over hers again, feeling the warmth return slowly. "You scared me," I whispered, more to myself than to her. "You have no idea what it's like to think you've lost her."
Janae placed a hand on my shoulder, squeezing it lightly. "She's going to be okay, Alpha. The doctors know what they're doing."
"I know," I muttered, my eyes still on her face, refusing to look away. "I just… I need her to open her eyes. I need to see her."
The male doctor gave me a small, reassuring nod. "She will. Give it some time. Right now, let her rest. She needs every bit of energy to recover fully."
I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions inside me. Relief, fear, anger, love, they all swirled together. I leaned closer again, whispering softly, "I'm here, Elara. You're safe. I'm not going anywhere. Just wake up when you're ready."
