Synopsis: Now that Daryl & Masato have acquired their new gifts, it's time to buddyfight once again. The Skyseer Dragon and the King of Bonds are about to fight once again. Which side will win?
In the previous story, Hou & Garga are exhausted after their last adventure. Kei announces the new World Buddy Academia on the news, and Daryl & Masato, along with their buddies, seek advice on how to prove themselves worthy on the shrines. Now that they've gained their new gifts, it's time to settle the score once again.
OP: Undead.
Continuing from the last story. All three aces are at the same park where Hou & Garga gave them their advice. Everyone prepares to duel as they hold their deck out in their right hand. Their eyes are sharp and confident. Their smiles are determined as they smirk.
Hou: We ain't going down easily.
Masato: Neither will we.
Daryl: That's a fact.
All three Aces are ready until Garga suddenly brings in the bombshell. There's a sudden disc scratch sound running in the background after that.
Garga: Hold on. Who's gonna fight who?
All three: Huh?
Hou: Uh...isn't it obvious? We...
Garga: I mean. There are only three of you, yet only two can fight. Use your head.
All three: Uh...
They suddenly panic for 0.5 seconds and just went..."Uh, right, yes....What he said...mhm." There's no denying that they're embarrassed, and the buddies just went "Ai Caramba" while face-palming.
Garga: This brings back memories...
Garga recalls the time in season 1, "Rematch", where, before deciding what to do, the three Aces also jumped into action without even giving a thought, making them feel embarrassed. When he snaps back, he smiles awkwardly while crossing his arms. Meanwhile...
Daryl: Well, Hou, I already fought you. So no need for that. I think I'll fight Masato in my case.
Masato: {confused} But can't I face Hou? I mean, I haven't even fought him yet.
Daryl: {smirks} How bout a bonus fact that I want a rematch because of the time you defeated me?
Masato {surprised, smirks} You're on.
Both players stare at each other with lightning glare as they smirk.
Hou: But... I'd be happy even if you both face me at once.
All Five: {Shocked} HUH?
Garga: Don't be silly, Hou. You would be demolished if that's the case. You shouldn't rush into things.
Hou: And I'd be happy to get pounded so long as I get to see their new powers.
Masato: Ah? {Awkward Smile} Errr Haha, you're something else.
Daryl: {Awkward Smile} He is an odd one.
Hou: Okay, Okay. I'll stop being needy. I wish you both the best of luck. Now come on, we don't have all day.
Masato: You heard him, Daryl. I've beaten you once, and I'll beat you again.
Daryl: I welcome any challenge. But this time, I'm taking the crown.
A few minutes later, the fighters are about to duel each other on an Ocean Stage beside the park. Hou & Garga watch from the sidelines, which is via the park's streets with their arms on the balcony. Ion & Takokichi appear.
Ion: Whenever there's a Buddyfight, you'll find Ion & Takokichi. Once again, the Ace of study and sports are facing off. Man, what are the odds now and then?
Daryl: Masato, this is us preparing for that entrance exam, too. So you'd better give it your all.
Masato: Back at you, Man. I won't be holding back. (Luminize) The linked spiral enhances our bonds like no other day. Luminize, Spiral Linkdragon Exceed.
Daryl: (Luminize) I'm guided by the celestial stars. Expanding my knowledge with the infinite cosmos. Luminize...Wonderous Triangulum.
Ion & Tako: Buddy... FIGHT!
Both: Raise the flag.
Daryl: Star Dragon World.
Masato: Ancient World.
Ion: Masato. You have the first turn.
Masato: Draw. Charge & Draw. I cast, Linkdragon Order's Links. (Increase resources) (To Agito) You're up first. Ready?
Agito: {Hyped} Send Me In.
Masato: For Share. I buddycall Thunderpeak Linkaxe, Agito to the right.
Agito appears in his first new form. His color scheme is blue-red-pink, with his form including green scars on his body & sturdy chains around his neck. His scales are now red-pink in color. He is even equipped with a tail cannon???
Agito: (Roars) I'm Thunderpeak Linkaxe, Agito. The evolved Leader of the Linkdragon Order and I've become stronger.
Everyone's surprised.
Ion: WHAT? Agito has a new form???
Tako: He looks amazing, chu!!!
Hou: {Happy} He's about to go manhunting.
Garga: {Happy} Not sure that's correct, but he looks impressive.
Masato: I now call Mazuru to the center.
Mazuru: (Appears) Here I am.
Masato: With its effect, I equip my newest item. Equip (equips)... Link Bomb Chain, Agito Mine.
That item is a chain of red spiky bomb mines???
Ion: Whoa!!! A new item.
Masato: Cast. Divine Dragon Creation. (Draws) Agito's effect. At the beginning of my attack phase, I can summon a Linkdragon Order monster from my drop zone. I choose Harahara.
Harahara: (Appears & taps his stomach twice) I'm ready for a full-on calorie attack.
Daryl: {smiles} [So he gets to free summon a monster every time his attack phase begins...not too shabby.]
Masato: Here and now. Our bond remains strong. But today... It marks a new era !!!
Masato & Linkdragon Order: DRAGON SHARE !!!
All of Masato's cards glow bright gold.
Ion: THERE IT IS. Masato's Dragon Share.
Masato: Agito. Attack Daryl!!!
Agito: Yes!!! Time to bring the pain. (Fires his cannon) HA.
Daryl blocks the attack with his right arm, and the cannon's blow when it hits creates a "PAM" explosion sound.
Daryl's Life: 10 -> 8
Ion: And with Harahara's dragon share, his life increased, too.
Masato: My turn is over. Now come at me with all you got.
Daryl: As you wish. Draw. Charge & Draw. I cast, "Proclaim, Cosmo Summon." I choose one monster from my deck and call it. And I choose you. (Reveals Cross)
Masato's Surprised. While it is a no gauge spell, it can only be used once per turn, and it needs to pay a cost when summoning a monster.
Daryl: O' Great Dragon who traversed beyond the infinite cosmos. (Carries Cross towards his chest) Gather from the endless stars and guide us to victory. I pay 2 gauge and (raise it up high) buddycall to the center.
Cross appears on the center with his new form. He now has a red-gold space globe above his head. His wings became cyan-blue. His red and blue crystals around his body sparkle brightly. There is even long and smooth blue hair behind his head.
Cross: Skyseer Ardent Dragon, Cross Irisnese Astrologia!!!
Everyone's surprised again.
Ion: WHAT? NOW CROSS HAS A NEW FORM??? WHAT'S GOING ON TODAY? FIRST HOU AND NOW THE OTHER TWO ACES???
Hou: {Admires} So that's Cross's New Power...
Garga: Impressive.
Daryl: I call Fret to the left. With its effect, I increase my gauge & draw. And to the right, I call Obsulate.
Obsulate: (Appears) I shall assist you once again.
Daryl: I pay 1 gauge & 1 life and equip...(Equips a new armed crossbow) Everseer Bow, Caelum Rex.
Ion: Oh!!! Daryl has a new item, too.
Daryl: This item can attack even with a monster in the center. And Astrodragons cannot be destroyed or returned to the hand by effects. It also gains 1 critical on top of that.
Masato: {Slightly afraid} Hold on. A monster on the left, center, and right... and an item equipped... You don't mean...
Daryl: Quite Perceptive. Shine Bright, Diamond of the Sky. Galaxy Formation, ACTIVATE!!!
Now, all of Daryl's Forces Glow. Much to Everyone's surprise.
Ion: A new Galaxy Formation that features everything??? Why wasn't I aware of this???
Daryl: With it, my cards gain 10000 power & defense, and an extra 2 critical. And now, successive cast. Battle supplies. Double tactics. I increase my resources, and Cross can attack two targets at once.
Masato goes into a prepared stance as he watches in struggle while Daryl performs his next move.
Masato: He's popping off.
Daryl: [If I know Masato well, Agito's other form will be summoned next turn. So before that...] Cross, Attack Agito &...
Masato: Hold On. Activate Bomb Mine's Dragon Share. I reduce Cross's Power by 3000 & critical of 1.
All are shocked.
Hou: WHAT? Masato has 4 Dragon Share cards. That means the power is reduced by 12000 and the critical by 4.
Masato spins his bomb mines around and throws them directly at Cross. The bombs explode right at him, and he's affected as there are rusts on him.
Cross: Oh No...
Daryl: Don't worry. We still have Obsulate on the field. When he's on the right, all Astrodragons gain 1 critical and cannot be placed on rest.
Cross: Then I'll target Agito & Harahara right now. (Summons a bunch of crystal arrows and shoots)
The Arrows constantly hit Agito & Harahara one by one at high speed as they yell aloud. But thanks to Soulguard, Agito revives.
Daryl: Double attack. This time, Mazuru too.
Mazuru is out. However...
Masato: Not so fast. Undying Linkdragon Order.
Masato's Life: 12 -> 14
Masato: And before you do anything, you're probably thinking that I couldn't summon Agito's other new power because it's still your turn. {serious} Guess again.
Daryl: What?
Masato: (Holds up a card) A powerful deity who carries the feelings of his comrades. (Throws it up high) Triumph over yourself and cast into this battlefield. I pay 2 gauge & call to the center...
Agito immediately transforms into his other new form as bright yellow thunder sparks around him and he roars.
Agito: Thunderpeak Spiral Linkaxe, KING AGITO!!!!
Everyone's shocked. He resembles Emperor Agito, but retains the same red-pink-blue color scheme. His tail cannons become two instead of one. The chains wrapped around him become more gold, and the markings on his body glow pink-blue.
Ion: SAY WHAT? KING AGITO HAS EVOLVED!!!!
Hou: So that's Agito's Other New Power.
Garga: Need I say more? It's impressive.
Masato: This new King Agito can be summoned even during an opponent's attack phase on top of a monster on the field. Consider it as my "Trap Card".
Garga: But still, King Agito has a 1-card soul and 8000 defense. And Daryl's Cards can destroy King Agito with just two attacks.
Daryl: Fret. Follow Him.
Fret: (Attacks) I'm not showing any mercy.
Masato: I cast. Agito's Specialty, "Sudden Drop In". (Pays 2 gauge & 1 life) For this turn, Agito cannot be attacked.
With that said, King Agito blocks Fret with his head and bunts him off. Bonus, that spell also requires the opponent to have attacked 3 or more times. Link attacks count as 1.
Daryl: What?
Masato: Discarding the top 7 cards of my deck. (Does So) And I get to place as many different Dragon Share cards from my dropzone into King Agito's soul.
Masato moves, Johaku, Tsumaki, Cook, Kaina & Jisen, Harahara & Mazuru into the soul. King Agito powers up even further as lightning sparks around him.
Hou: 7 cards in the soul!!!
Garga: That spell must have been designed for this kind of purpose.
Cross: (Turn to Daryl) What do we do now?
Daryl: {Reluctant} Tch, we can't do anything. My turn is now over.
Ion: Daryl summonned his new powers and managed to keep himself in check. But he's held powerless against Masato and is forced to end the turn. Will history repeat itself once again? I'm so anxious right now!!!
Masato: Draw. Charge & Draw. Once more, Divine Dragon Creation. (Draws) And outcomes my final spell. I cast Linkdragon Burst. (Pays 1 gauge & 1 life) King Agito gains 5000 power and gets to attack all monsters on the opponent's field.
Daryl is surprised.
Agito: Ready when you are.
Masato: Yes.
Both: SPIRAL DRAGON SHARE!!!
King Agito sparks bright again for a second time.
Masato: King Agito now has 19000 power!!! And thanks to Agito's Dragon Share, he also gains penetrate!!!
King Agito: Here I go.
King Agito breeds energy from his mouth and charges his tail cannons. With that said, it creates three energy attacks at all three of Daryl's Monsters. And thus it hit, destroying them. And thanks to penetrate, Daryl receives 4 damage as he feels Agito's wind attack as he braces himself.
Daryl's Life: 8 -> 4
Cross: (Revives) Whoa....what incredible power.
Agito: There's more where that came from. Double attack!!!
But as Agito's about to attack by moving himself forward... Daryl suddenly smirks.
Daryl: You fell for it. I pay 1 life & cast. Crystallized Phenomenon.
With that spell cast, the ice from that spell burst out of the card and shot right at a shocked King Agito like a whirlwind. All Agito can do is watch in shock as the ice attacks him and slowly starts encasing him from his feet to his head.
Agito: OH NO!!!
Masato: AGITO!!!
As Agito is slowly being frozen in ice...
Daryl: {smirks} You have your trap card. I have my own. Consider it payback for stopping me earlier.
The Ice slowly reaches his face...
King Agito: Errghh...Masato...Help!!!
Garga: {Nonchalant} (Cross arms) Oh Dear...
Hou: {Nonchalant} (Cross arms) Deja Vu...
Daryl: Bomb Mine doesn't have enough power to overcome my defense. And you can't use Barrage Dive because you don't have enough gauge. Now, what will you do?
Masato: Drats...{reluctant} My turn is over.
Ion: {shocked} Unbelievable!!! First, Masato had the upper hand, but then Daryl played the Uno reverse card and turned the tables. And because Daryl went second, Crystalization Phenomenon remains!!!
Daryl: Draw. Charge & Draw. I'm ending this now. Cast. Notify: Destruction Tactics. I destroy both King Agito & Bomb Mine.
Masato: WHAT?
Cross fires a head laser and shoots. The laser pierces through the frozen King Agito, destroying it, and also destroys Masato's Bomb Mine. Masato is shocked.
Masato: AGITO!!!
Garga: Normally, this isn't possible. But because Crystallized Phenomenon is still active, King Agito was destroyed in an instant!!!
Hou: (admires) Daryl really is the Ace of Study!!!
Daryl: I call Barry to the right. Cross. Redeem yourself for earlier. Attack Masato.
Cross: As you wish.
Cross flaps his wings and flies across the field forward. Masato watches it in shock and takes the damage with Cross landing its wing strike. He went "ARRRRGH!!!!!"
Masato's Life: 10 -> 6
Ion: Masato's Life was chopped by 4 in one blow!!!
Masato: Errgh...Oh boy...
Cross: (Attacks) Double attack. (Moves in for a claw attack)
Masato: Cast. Dragon Prudent. (Blocks)
Barry: (Points sword up) I shall go forth. (Attacks)
Masato's Life: 6 -> 2
Daryl prepares his bow and aims while saying, "This will end you!!!". The arrow flies forward, and Masato watches it in shock while thinking, "Even if I block, His item will...". The arrow pierces through his chest and knocks him down slowly.
Masato: OWWWWWW.
Masato falls down completely, and his flag is out.
Ion: Game End!!! Winner!!! Daryl Hoshino!!!
Tako: The Ace of Study is victorious, Chu!!!
Daryl: {glad} I did it.
Meanwhile, Masato is currently sitting down after the defeat. Agito checks on him.
Agito: Are you okay?
Masato: I'm fine... (sigh, smiles) It was a great fight. He deserve it.
Garga: (To Hou, crossed arms) What do you think of their new gifts?
Hou: {excited} They're amazing. Like Agito being summoned during Daryl's turn and stacked with a bunch of soul...Now I wanna fight too.
Garga: I figured you'd say that. (Nods) Mhm. I, too, feel the same way.
But suddenly...Hou's stomach growls, much to both their reactions, awkwardly.
Hou: ...right after I eat.
A few minutes later, a barbecue is lit up, heating up some patties in the process. The sizzling sound sparks, and the smell of the patties is really crispy. It appears that all three are eating some burgers at another part of the park where a burger stand is nearby.
Masato: (Munching) Mmm, So Good.
Daryl: (Munching) Most Delicious.
Hou: (Swallows food) Masato, you planning to fight me next?
Masato: (Swallows food) Of course. You're raring to go, aren't you?
Garga: He is passionate after seeing you two fight. (Teases him) Until his stomach rumbles.
Hou: {Shocked, Embarrassed} (Nudges him) Garga...
Masato: For Share. I feel you. The feeling of being fired up. I get that feeling too.
Daryl: Well, either way, you can't use the Ocean Stage because someone else is using it at the moment. You two will have to fight on this table instead.
Masato: Anything is fine. So long as he's okay with it.
Hou: Back at you. {Determined Smile} I'll say it again, I ain't gonna lose.
Masato: Me too. (Right Fist Up) Prepare to experience power like no other.
But then, a few minutes later, Masato is shocked??? His jaw dropped, & everyone else (except for Hou) reacted in shock too. There is even a "boing" sound running in the background. Meanwhile, Hou reacts awkwardly...
Hou: Uh...oops...
Daryl: You were able to draw the cards you need...And you even destroyed King Agito in just one turn...
Cross: Oh Dear...
Garga: His luck is too strong sometimes...
Hou: Sorry...Masato. {guilty} I sort of got carried away.
Masato: {Excited} Are you kidding? Why do you need to say sorry for? It was a blast. If anything, I'm okay with getting this quite a challenge. This way, I can get stronger and stronger.
Everyone else: {Confused} Huh???
Agito: {shocked} He sure bounced back quickly.
Hou: {smirks} Well, if that's what you want, {hyped} I'm gonna keep going till the sun goes down.
Garga: {shocked} Huh?
Masato: {smirks} Hehe, I was going to say the same thing.
Agito: You guys are out of your minds.
Daryl: I suppose I can join in the fun.
Cross: Daryl, not you too!!!
Everyone laughs with joy as the camera pans towards the bright blue sky, as the story ends. Meanwhile, in the Ankh Kingdom, the young prince, Alexandre Ankh, works on his deck in his majestic bedroom. He sits in front of a table beside his bed. His cards are laid out on his table. He stares at it with a serious expression as he also listens to the news regarding WBA on his phone.
Alexandre Ankh: World Buddy Academia...I would assume he's joining too... (picks up his two buddy cards)...I've been waiting for this moment to arrive...{smiles} This is gonna be fun.
