Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — The Hero Commission’s Hunt

Thunder rolled across Musutafu.

A storm had gathered over the city, black clouds swirling like the anger of gods.

Below them, U.A. High was surrounded by armored vehicles bearing the seal of the Hero Commission.

Floodlights cut through the night.

Helicopters hovered above. Drones scanned the air.

Inside the main hall, the teachers and students gathered, tense and silent.

Professor Erina stood in front, her voice calm but sharp.

"The Commission's accusing U.A. of harboring a Class-A Temporal Threat," she said. "They're here for Koku."

The class erupted.

"What?! They can't just take him!" Aina shouted.

Rex slammed his fist into the wall. "I knew this would happen the second he showed up!"

Koku stood apart, quiet as always — but his eyes were different now.

Focused. Cold.

He knew running was his only choice.

Outside the Academy

Commission agents in black armor marched through the gates. Their leader — Director Kyra — stepped forward, her expression stern.

"Under Section 14 of the Hero Integrity Code," she announced, "we are authorized to detain any individual whose Quirk threatens the stability of spacetime. Surrender the student named Koku."

Professor Erina stepped forward. "You can't—"

Kyra's tone cut through her words.

"Protecting him means treason, Erina. Don't forget, we created you too."

Erina froze. The words hit her like a blade — but before she could respond, the power grid flickered. Lights dimmed. Every electronic device went static for a second.

Then, a voice echoed through the intercom.

Calm. Familiar. Heavy with age.

"That's enough, Kyra."

The entire facility paused.

Even Erina's breath caught.

The figure stepped out from the shadows — cloak flapping in the wind, metal prosthetic arm gleaming in the rain.

Izuku Midoriya.

The Symbol of Hope himself.

Whispers spread like wildfire through the crowd.

"The Number One Hero—!"

"Deku's here?!"

Kyra's eyes narrowed. "You shouldn't be interfering, Midoriya. This is Commission business."

He didn't answer. His green eyes — now lined with age and scars — were fixed on one person.

Koku.

"So… you're the one they're calling a threat."

Koku said nothing.

The two stared at each other — the past and the future, connected by fate.

Midoriya slowly approached. "When I was your age, I carried a Quirk that wasn't truly mine either. People feared it… because they didn't understand its purpose. But it chose me for a reason."

He raised his hand — faint sparks of green lightning flickered around his fingers.

The power of One For All still lived inside him, but barely.

"And now… it's choosing again."

Koku's eyes widened.

"You're… giving it to me?"

Midoriya smiled faintly. "No. I'm passing it forward. Time can't move backward forever, Koku. Someone has to carry hope into the next age.

He held out his hand.

"Take it. And protect the future — even if it's one that doesn't belong to you."

Koku hesitated — but something inside him responded. The watch in his pocket pulsed with a deep, resonant hum.

When their hands met—

—the world exploded in light.

Wind howled. Blue and green energy fused, swirling like galaxies colliding.

Flashes of the past — all nine previous users of One For All — appeared around them as glowing silhouettes.

Voices echoed through his mind.

"Another successor…"

"Time itself trembles…"

"Can he handle both?"

Koku screamed — power surging through his veins, time fracturing around his body.

He saw images of Deku's battles, the struggles of every generation, and the burning will of heroes that refused to fade.

Then — silence.

The storm outside stopped. The Commission's systems crashed. Time itself… paused.

Koku stood, surrounded by faint blue-green lightning.

His eyes glowed — one silver, one emerald.

The fusion was complete.

Chrono Breaker + One For All = Chrono For All.

Midoriya smiled weakly. "It's yours now. Make it mean something."

He turned toward Kyra and the agents.

"You came for a threat. You'll leave knowing a new hero was born."

Before they could react, Midoriya's body shimmered — and disappeared, vanishing into a flash of light.

The agents stumbled back, blinded.

When their vision cleared — Koku was gone too.

Outside the City — Rooftop of Dawn

Aina and Rex found him hours later, standing under the first light of sunrise.

He looked stronger, calmer… but something deep in his aura felt infinite.

Aina whispered, "You… feel different."

Koku opened his eyes. The blue-green lightning crackled faintly around him.

"Yeah. Because now… time itself has a heartbeat."

He looked toward the horizon.

"And I'm going to protect every second of it."
