Kazuma tried to parry the binding clothes with his monk staff but without his chakra that amounted to almost nothing.
Shota's binding cloth moved with incredible speed and precision. It first coiled tightly around the Shakujō staff, locking it in place so Kazuma could not swing it effectively.
Then the cloth extended further, wrapping around Kazuma's arms and legs like strong ropes. Kazuma pulled and twisted with all his physical strength, but it was useless.
Without his chakra to enhance his movements or break free with a jutsu, he was trapped in the powerful grip of the cloth.
It was not that Kazuma was weak. He just was not used to fighting opponents without having chakra. Kazuma had spent most of his life relying on his chakra for ninjutsu, genjutsu, and other advanced techniques.
Now that Shota's Erasure had completely sealed it away, he felt slow and vulnerable. His muscles still had the strength of a trained jonin, but the absence of chakra made every movement feel heavier and less effective. He grunted in frustration as he tried to break loose, but the cloth only tightened more.
But he was still one of the 12 fire guardians and a jonin. He was not going to go down just like that. Kazuma held a high position among elite shinobi known as the Fire Guardians.
Before Shota could end him, Kazuma started grinning. A wide, almost crazy smile spread across his face. Shota paused for a moment, surprised by the sudden change in the man's expression.
Kazuma looked directly at Shota with that grin, his eyes showing no fear despite being captured.
Kazuma grinned. "Since I am going to die, I might as well take you with me." Kazuma said as Shota saw that beneath the man's vest he had hundreds of explosion tags and it seems like he also had a manual trigger in place for it.
'What the fuck!! What mad man wears a suicide jacket made up of explosion tags!' Shota thought. Who in their right mind would walk around with a vest full of explosives ready to blow themselves up at any moment?
It showed how desperate or crazy Kazuma truly was.
"If you do not want to get caught in the explosion you would let me go. And even if you manage to defend against the explosion or escape it, the entire Konoha would be alerted about this and their suspicion would be completely on you. So it would be better for you. And we can form some sort of agreement that would be beneficial for both of us." Kazuma said.
Shota thought about the risks carefully. He did not want to lose his chance at the nine tails chakra, and he also did not want unnecessary attention from Konoha.
After a few tense seconds, he made his decision. "Very well." Shota said as he let go of the binding cloth around Kazuma. The cloth loosened and retracted slowly back to his neck. Shota kept his eyes on Kazuma the entire time.
"Could you mind giving me my chakra back? It really feels uncomfortable without it." Kazuma said stretching his limbs. Kazuma rolled his shoulders and moved his arms and legs to get the blood flowing again.
Shota said, "If you make a single move that I do not like, I would not care about that suicide vest of yours and might just set it up myself." Shota's warning was serious.
Kazuma nodded and Shota stopped using Erasure on him. The red glow in Shota's eyes faded, and Kazuma felt his chakra return to his body. He took a deep breath and relaxed slightly, though he kept his hands visible to avoid provoking Shota.
"So what do you want from me? Why did you attack me? I do not think it was because Suna and Konoha are allies so do not give me that crap." Kazuma said.
Shota said, "I want that." Pointing at the black box that was sucking in the nine tails chakra. The box sat on the ground nearby, quietly drawing in the scattered red energy.
"Oh. And why is that?" Kazuma said. He raised an eyebrow, genuinely curious about Shota's interest in such a dangerous substance. Tailed beast chakra was not something people sought lightly because of the risks involved.
"Just because." Shota simply said. His response was short and casual, as if asking for a common item like a kunai or some food.
Kazuma's eyebrow twitched at that response. He stared at Shota for a moment, clearly annoyed by the simple reply after such a serious fight.
"You can have it. But on one condition." Kazuma said. He decided to move forward with the negotiation. The box and its contents were valuable, but he saw an opportunity to gain something greater in return.
"And that is?" Shota asked. He kept his voice steady, waiting to hear what Kazuma wanted. Shota was prepared to fight again if the condition was too unreasonable.
"You, Shota Aizawa, have helped kill the strongest Raikage. Your ability is something every shinobi fears and I myself have gotten a taste of it. So I want your help to kill the Hokage." Kazuma explained his demand carefully.
"Hmmm. For that I will have to master the power of that. Even with my dojutsu I am not capable enough to take down the professor. I would need a little more help from you." Shota replied thoughtfully.
"You are planning to yourself become a jinchuriki?" Kazuma asked, starting to understand the full picture.
"Yes." Shota answered honestly.
"Ah. It makes sense with your dojutsu. You would be the perfect jinchuriki with complete control of yourself. Truly brilliant." Kazuma said muttering.
Shota's abilities matched with tailed beast chakra. The combination could create an unstoppable fighter who stayed in full control without going berserk.
"So what do you want from me?" Kazuma asked, bringing the conversation back to practical matters.
"I do not know a good Fuinjutsu. You will have to give me the seal to seal the chakra inside me." Shota explained.
He admitted his weakness in sealing techniques. Without a proper formula, absorbing and controlling the nine tails chakra safely would be very difficult.
Kazuma raised an eyebrow. "You are doing it outside of Suna's orders, are you not?"
Shota did not reply on that. He stayed silent, neither confirming nor denying the suspicion.
Kazuma smiled. "I guess I am not the only one that does not like a kage. You and I would get along fine." He saw a similarity between them now. Both were willing to go against higher authorities for their own goals. This shared feeling made him more willing to cooperate.
Shota just gave a grunt in response. He was not interested in becoming friends, but the alliance for now was useful.
"I can seal it to you." Kazuma offered generously.
Shota gave him a look that said ,'do I look stupid to you.' His eyes narrowed and his face showed clear distrust. He was not about to let Kazuma perform a sealing jutsu directly on him. That could be a trap or a way for Kazuma to gain control later.
"Fine. I will give you a sealing formula for it." Kazuma said with a sigh. He understood Shota's suspicion and backed down from the direct offer. Instead, he reached into a pocket and pulled out a scroll with careful movements.
"I cannot say it is the best one but it would certainly be better than what you would have in Suna." Kazuma said.
