Yup, Shota was planning to become a pseudo jinchuriki of the nine tails. Many would think it as a stupid decision. A very stupid decision.
But Shota knew that he needed the power up for future fights against people like Sasori that were immune to his Dojutsu like probably Pain.
And against multiple opponents targeting him. And he needed the power up if the Otsutsuki were real and they were coming in this Naruto reality.
But why would he need something like a tailed beast when he had Erasure and was already strong? Shota asked himself this question many times.
His Erasure quirk had become a powerful Dojutsu in this world, allowing him to cancel out chakra and weaken his foes. It made him a formidable fighter.
Yet, he knew limits existed. Erasure drained him if used for too long, and some enemies had ways around it. He needed another reliable source of power.
And if he wanted to become stronger, he could go another route like trying to awaken his Erasure if that was even possible. Erasure had come to him as a form of dojutsu or kekkei genkai from the Erasure quirk.
And it has to be remembered that quirks awakened and evolved. Shota Aizawa in MHA did not evolve his quirk but Shota of Naruto verse had hoped that he could do so.
But it was not a surety. He had spent hours meditating and training, pushing his eyes to their limits, but nothing had changed. There was no guarantee that his Dojutsu would awaken into something greater. It might stay the same forever, leaving him stuck at his current level.
Then there was the fact that he could learn sage mode. But Shota did not even have a summoning contract. And he doubted he had any talent in sage jutsu and any mistake could kill him.
So he decided to get a powerup to cover his one weakness that he has been facing recently. His one weakness was that his new jutsu Cruel Sun, Yokai Rasengan and even normal Rasengans took a lot of chakra.
And he often suffered from Chakra exhaustion these days. And he was also learning Vaccum wind series jutsus which were also chakra hungry.
Danzo had hashirama cells to increase his chakra, Shota thought that nine tails chakra would be a better solution and it was much easier to get.
But Shota did not want to become a full jinchuriki with the beast sealed inside him. That would bring too many complications, including the risk of the tailed beast taking control.
Instead, he aimed for a pseudo jinchuriki state, where he could draw on the chakra without the spirit.
Now you might say that becoming a jinchuriki was just as dangerous as sage mode.
As the chakra could kill him if it goes wild but Shota had the Erasure which would make the nine tails chakra not affect his mind and would keep him from going berserk.
'My estimates are that it would be at least 3-4 tails worth of chakra. And unless I use it fully, I would be able to regenerate it to the full amount of what I will have.' Shota thought.
Shota looked at Kazuma working and thought '. A truly skilled man, a pity that he would not tell me any of his methods and he would be dying today.'
In one swift motion, Shota activated his Erasure. He sent a Kunai aimed at him. The kunai sliced through the air, catching Kazuma by surprise.
Kazuma twisted his body at the last second, avoiding a fatal strike but receiving a deep cut on his shoulder. Blood trickled down his arm as he landed a few feet away.
Kazuma while taken back remained calm and in a battle ready stance. Even without his chakra, the man did not panic. He reached behind his back and pulled out a weapon that Shota recognized immediately.
"The Eraserhead huh." Kazuma mumbled as he took out a Shakujō, a monk staff and twirled it in his hands. The staff had rings at the top that jingled softly as he spun it with practiced ease.
"Would you mind telling me why a Suna shinobi is targeting me?" Kazuma asked, his eyes narrowing as he studied Shota carefully.
He kept his distance, circling slightly to keep Shota in view. The graze on his shoulder stung, but he ignored the pain for now. "I have done nothing to provoke the Hidden Sand Village. This seems personal."
Shota did not lower his guard. "Just helping an ally village get rid of someone like you while getting myself a power up. Now...if you would please die." Shota said as the binding cloth around his neck extended going straight towards the chakraless Kazuma.
Kazuma dodged to the side, using the long staff to bat away the binding cloth. "You think it will be that easy, Eraserhead? I may not have my chakra right now, but I am not defenseless."
Shota's eyes remained active, maintaining Erasure to keep Kazuma powerless. He pulled the binding cloth back and lashed it out again from a different angle.
