As the four girls got closer, they finally saw Lu Wanli standing there.
For a second, the three girls didn't recognize her and were just staring at the beautiful girl but Shen Xinxin recognized Lu Wanli almost immediately.
They were roommates and she had seen Lu Wanli without makeup a million times.
"Ah, wait, isn't this Lu Wanli?" One of the girls finally pointed out, her eyes filled with shock.
How did they never know that this girl was an astonishing beauty?
Lu Wanli forced a smile. "Hello, Sister Xinxin."
Shen Xinxin snapped out of her daze and closed the gap between them.
"Wanli, what's the matter? You are dressed so differently today," she asked while grabbing Lu Wanli's arm.
Seeing that she was holding three dresses, she panicked even more.
"Are you window shopping?" She blurted out and then hurriedly shook her head.
"No… no, I meant…"
Before she could complete her words, one of the other girls stepped forward.
"Sister Xin, there's no need to hide it. I'm sure Lu Wanli must have overheard you talking about coming here in the room and so she decided to rush over too."
"Lu Wanli, isn't it enough that Xinxin feeds you? Aren't you too greedy?"
Lu Wanli's brows raised slightly and she looked at Shen Xinxin with a piercing gaze.
"Really? Sister Xinxin feeds me?" She asked while keeping her gaze on Shen Xinxin.
Shen Xinxin's face paled a little and she turned back to her friends.
"I have told you guys that it was only that one time. We are in public, don't be embarrassed, Wanli."
While her words were the truth, the way she arranged it made it seem like she was trying to save face for Lu Wanli and her friends sneered in disgust.
Lu Wanli watched them with a faint smile on her face.
In her first year, she had indeed depended on Shen Xinxin for a week. Her dad had suddenly cut off her pocket money and she had been left high and dry.
Luckily, she was able to earn some money online and stopped depending on her family or anyone else.
Even though the money wasn't a lot back then, it was enough to cover her feeding and small expenses.
She had always been good with computers and just did basic design jobs and helped people check for the errors in their codes.
However, for just that one week of feeding her, Shen Xinxin had made it seem like it was a constant thing through petty schemes and tricks.
The sales assistant after hearing their words looked at Lu Wanli weirdly but didn't say anything.
"Wanli, are you shopping for yourself? Since when did you start wearing dresses?"
Lu Wanli shrugged. "Hmm, my boyfriend seems to prefer me in dresses so I came to buy some."
Shen Xinxin's eyes flashed with surprise.
"Wanli, has brother Yifan accepted to date you?"
Although her eyes had the look of pleasant surprise, Lu Wanli noticed that her fingers clenched tightly together and sneered.
So this was what happened.
Shen Xinxin was the one that always liked Han Yifan yet she said nothing all those years and just calmly waited to ruin her before claiming the man for herself.
The three girls were just as surprised and they quickly surrounded Lu Wanli.
"You are dating Han Yifan?"
Han Yifan was quite popular in the university. Since he was the council president, he was like the golden boy with his pleasant looks and stellar reputation.
Many people thought that Shen Xinxin who was the school beauty was the one that was most deserving of their school prince but who would have expected that he would be chased around by a tyrant.
She removed Shen Xinxin's hand from her wrist.
"Shen Xinxin, isn't that joke too expensive? Do you think I'm that capable?"
If it was in the past when Lu Wanli had her tyrant get up, all of them would have agreed with her at the bat of a hat but seeing how she looked now, the three of them hesitated for a moment before nodding.
Knowing that it wasn't Han Yifan, Shen Xinxin also relaxed greatly and smiled at her.
"Wanli, what do you want to buy, I'll pay for it."
Lu Wanli held back an eye roll and walked past them.
The enmity between them was too great, she didn't even bother to pretend.
Before, she had planned to try the clothes on first before buying it but with the four of them around, she felt uncomfortable so she went directly to pay for the three dresses and left.
Shen Xinxin was surprised and stared at her in shock. The whole time, she always imagined that Lu Wanli was someone that was broke. How could she afford three designer dresses without blinking?
The silly girl adored her and always worshiped her and she always thought it was because she was from a wealthy family.
One of the girls, Chu Rou scoffed at Lu Wanli's action.
"Looks like she found herself a rich boyfriend and can't wait to show off, let's see how she will act when we get back tonight."
In their room of four, Chu Rou and Shen Xinxin held the most say because they were older.
Lu Wanli was hardly in the room while their last roommate barely spoke.
Watching Lu Wanli straight and cold back, Shen Xinxin felt a little comfortable.
"Xinxin, let's not worry about that. Just choose a dress that would be appropriate to meet the investor. Let's not bother with her."
Shen Xinxin nodded and forced a smile.
