Chapter 39 - Faith's 23rd

Park Heights apartment, Manhattan

Coven premises | 7:30 AM

Faith(vo)

I woke up to the sunlight knocking on my eyelids, telling me to be productive. The soft satin sheets merged with my skin to the point I could feel the subtle tension. The air was filled with the usual scent of sandalwood, a diffuser that Bo loved more than his cologne. Thank heavens they didn't indulge in their usual night "activities ", that would've been an awkward way to start my birthday with Bo, Jane, and Bobbi naked as the day they were conceived, wishing me a happy birthday with voices tired from moans and reeking of s€x.

Sorry for the description ~

Walking to the kitchen, I was greeted by the sight of Jane actually seated at the table, already wearing a flowing black dress that appealed to her gothic vibe. She wasn't wearing beat-up boots; instead, she wore the ones Bo had bought her, and her silver jewelry still glittered in the sun.

Her eyes locked onto me, the involuntary grin present, "Morning, Freckles ~"

"Morning, Jane. " I replied, my tone was cautious, as Jane's greeting can either lead to genuine kindness(rare for her) or sass.

Bo was by the stove, delicately preparing pancakes like peace offerings." Birthday girl, sit down and no fighting. " He flipped another pancake mid-request.

"No good morning –really Bo?" Freckles pouted.

Bobbi by the coffee machine, her favourite invention, glanced at me, "Faith...breakfast first, tantrums later. " Red gulped her liquified coffee beans.

"Fine."

Breakfast was oddly peaceful, the sound of munching was more than the actual conversations. The mental warfare was at an all-time high.

Bo turned to me, "We're going somewhere special today..."

"Where?" I questioned.

His smirk was my answer."You'll see~" Jane chuckled.

"I hate you all."

Recreational studio| 10:00 PM

We walked into a white building near the city.

The lobby reminded me of Bo's but no receptionist glaring at me. After Bo and the lady were done with their adult talk, Jane locked fingers with me and we walked upstairs. The minute the door opened to light out, my brain lost function.

"...Bo...are you serious?"

"You like it?"

I barely registered his response as my eyes were transfixed on the room decorated with sectioned areas, each a recreated album cover from SZA and Summer Walker. My playlist champions.

"I-Is...this f-for me?" I asked in a shaky voice between a cry and excitement.

Bobbi must have noticed my shaking, so she placed a comforting hand on my shoulder, rubbing small circles, "Hey, just breathe and take it all in." She gently led me to the first area, a section with grass and broken personal computers piled up just like the Ctrl cover. "This is unreal. " I gasped. Moving to touch the man-made grass.

"Ms. White, are you ready?" The cameraman asked, his little setup ready to be deployed.

Turning to Bo, he gave me a reassuring nod to go crazy, so with the seal of encouragement, I got into my element.

Click, click

The camera snapped as I switched poses from homage to my artistic to my own personal touches. Next was the SOS cover, a section with white walls that glowed into moving waves, mimicking the ocean scene, and a swimming board hanging 3 feet in the air. The sight was surreal and made even better by Bo handing me a hockey jersey.

"Bo...I love you so much." I muttered with hearts in my eyes."

The minute I sat on the board, I really thought I was Princess Diana. Staring off at the holographic tides like a main character.

Definitely keeping this jersey.

For the Summer Walker section, the first room was draker with a purple tint, Jane helped with the pose as my first attempt looked like a damsel in distress rather than a lover girl. The next section had a cardboard cutout of a convertible for Still Over it. Compared to the previous areas, it was disappointing...but we carry on.

Jane whispered to Bobbi, "She really is enjoying this." She chuckled.

"Let her enjoy this moment. "Bobbi responded, smiling at her sister's antics. "She has the cameraman on flicking like it'ss fashion week."

Bo had his arms around them, pulling them closer to his embrace, "There's no topping this ladies–I'm her new favourite till Christmas. "

"Pfft–more like until graduation. " Jane snorted, moving into his hold.

Bobbi glared at him, "Don't start Sanders. I'm her blood."

"Bo! Come help be the paparazzi–I need a full A-list experience. " Faith ordered.

"Coming Honey." He chuckled, jogging to the birthday girl.

The day was spent with numerous camera flashes, a barking redhead with freckles like constellations, and Jane adding her vampiric twist to the pictures.

[Recreational studio exit]

Eventually, their time was up, and the cameraman's fingers were sore from constant usage. Faith was beaming like an idiot, a tower of Polaroids in her hands, the majority solo shots, and a few cameos from her family.

"This has been amazing ~thank you Bo."

"Don't thank me yet, we still have dinner at the shy restaurant. "

"Seriously? This is manipulation Bo!" Bobbi growled.

"...My heart is going to implode."

"Please do, I need some inspiration for my anatomy notes~" Jane teased.

[Sky restaurant]

The top-floor restaurant was decked in luxury, soft jazz, and customers in clothing that cost more than Bobbi's salary. They had a booth in a corner of the restaurant. The food was barely enough to fill up a normal person but plated like art. Bo stared at his beef plate, small ass beef with peas and a purple sauce."Yeah definitely not doing this again. "He clicked in annoyance.

Bobbi smirked at him, twirling her pasta bowl," Next time don't try to be a trick."

"Mxm."

Jane was sipping her wine was observing Faith." I've never seen someone so happy to eat kid portions that can rival her tuition fees." She sipped," Fascinating indeed..."

"Wait till the cake comes out."

"There serve cake?" Faith jolted up, food smeared on her mouth.

"Yeah, definitely a memorable birthday. "
