Chapter 1 - The Collision of Two Returns

The glass doors of Incheon International Airport slid open with a soft chime, letting in a rush of cold Seoul air and the chaotic music of returning travelers — trolley wheels, coffee orders, and flight announcements echoing under the high ceilings.

After five years in London, Han Joon-seok stepped onto Korean soil again. A black hoodie covered his neatly cut hair, and dark glasses hid his sharp eyes. For someone who had spent his life under the spotlight of business media, anonymity felt strangely freeing.

He took a deep breath, feeling the cold air sting his lungs. Home.

Same sky, same language, same chaos.

But this time, he wasn't returning as a prince. He was coming as a nobody — by choice.

Dragging his suitcase behind him, Joon-seok scrolled through the text messages from his family group chat.

Mom : My son is coming home! I made kimchi stew!

Dad : Don't forget to visit the office this week. You'll take over soon.

Grandpa : Bring foreign cookies.

Grandma : Are you still single?

He sighed. They think I'm coming to inherit an empire. Let's see how they react when I tell them I'm just an intern with evil smile in his face.

Across the terminal, another flight had just landed — this one from New York.

From the crowd emerged Yoo Ha-rin, stylish but unpretentious, her long hair tied loosely and a tote bag slung over her shoulder. She had spent years studying business strategy in the States, but right now she looked less like a future CEO and more like a girl who missed home.

She smiled at the faint scent of roasted chestnuts drifting from a nearby kiosk. "Seoul… you haven't changed," she whispered to herself, walking with tiptop while whistling and seeing around the airport.

Her phone buzzed, when she see's her phone the family group chat was buzzed.

Mom : come home fast baby.

Dad : And for the love of god, don't step near Han Technology.

Grandpa : Bring ginseng. American ones.

Grandma : Find a nice Korean boy this year and go date with him.

Ha-rin rolled her eyes and smiled. If only you knew, Dad… I'm walking straight into Han Technology and see how capable they are with a wicked smile on her face and put a sunglass on her face in airport to look cool.

Joon-seok was sitting on the airport waiting hall to wait for the cab and looking into his mobile then when he lift his head and seeing around he thinks a strange women with sunglasses in airport was looking at him.

he thought " while adjusting his tie i think i look more handsome that's why girls are always eyes on me and she even use sunglasses to not get caught ,unbelievable while laughing himself". Actually the looking women was Ha-rin who was seeing the coffe shop near him from far away to buy one and sees him thinking " what a weirdo, what's wrong with him? why was he laughing without any reason" .

but Joon-seok misunderstand it and also adjusting his body while pretending he doesn't care. after that Ha-rin comes close to him and sees him like why was he behaving like that while sighing "what a fool.." mumbling herself went to buy her coffee. Joon-seok taxi was arrives to the airport so he left the waiting and walking slowly out of the airport.

Ha-rin buy the hot coffee and then the taxi was arrives before the time at the airport so she was packed with the luggage with one hand and hot coffee with another hand while walking out of airport.

The two of them — heirs of two rival empires — were never supposed to meet like this.

But fate has a weird sense of humor.

At the arrivals gate, the crowd thickened. Travelers hurried, bumping into each other with bags and coffee cups.

Joon-seok, focused on his mobile while going for the taxi.

Ha-rin, trying to balance her luggage and a cup of Americano, rushed toward the same exit.

And then—

Crash!

Her coffee splashed over suit, his suitcase toppled, and the sound of something very expensive hitting the floor echoed through the terminal. The coffee was super hot his reactions was quicker than usain bolt turned red and pink while screams stop at his vocal cards and can't come out of it.

"watch where you are seeing ,mister " she said while looking top to bottom at the Joon-Seok who was already in his high voltage. Joon-Seok while screaming in himself then take a wild look at her

"where are you looking did your eyes went flying, can't you see in your way " he said while adjusting his dress

Ha-rin while sighing "you piece of sh...t, you are the one who crash on me while looking on the phone " with angry face while taking off the sunglass.

he blinked first. " what? you piece of little sh...t, me " while adjusting his dress. I think you are coming from mental hospital .

Then Ha-rin aggressively while raising her hand " watch your mouth, you moron or i have to fix that with my fits".

He looked down at his stained dress "Great, First you are watching me far behind and now try to touch my body while pretending you spill the coffee over me and now you are trying to lay hand on my beautiful face while pretending to hitting me "

Ha-rin with irritation while laying her falling hair backwards " Are you out of your mind, i am looking at your face and want to touch it?" while laughing seriously with angry .

"did you look your face on mirror at least once , you and your blobfish face" with awkward face.

Joon-seok crouched, picking up his fallen passport. "What, blobfish face, me?" seriously while sighing.

"Excuse me?" She straightened, hands on hips. "Maybe you should look up from your phone and watch where you are going and whom you are hitting?"

He raised an eyebrow. "I was checking directions. Not everyone's as good at multitasking as spilling coffee and arguing."

She glared. "Unbelievable."

For a brief second, silence hung between them — the kind of silence filled with annoyance, caffeine, and something electric. Then, the airport speaker broke it.

"Passengers are reminded not to leave luggage unattended…"

They both sighed in sync, rolling their eyes — at each other, at the noise, at the absurdity.

Joon-seok dusted his shirt. "Forget it. Let's just pretend this didn't happen and don't show before me ever,"

"Gladly," Ha-rin said, tossing her empty cup into a bin and yanking her suitcase handle.

As she turned away, her luggage wheel got stuck in his.

"Seriously?" he muttered.

"Don't look at me! You rolled into my lane!"

"Airports don't have lanes!"

"Then maybe they should — for people like you!"

They finally managed to untangle the mess, both glaring before storming off in opposite directions. Neither looked back.

But as they each disappeared into the crowd, both couldn't help thinking, That face looked familiar somehow.

Outside, the air was crisp, and the city lights painted the dusk sky golden.

Two taxis pulled up almost simultaneously.

"Where to?" both drivers asked.

"Han Mansion," said Joon-seok.

"Yoo Villa," said Ha-rin.

And with that, the two cars drove off — in opposite directions, toward two homes built on competition, pride, and decades of silent rivalry.

At Han Mansion, chaos greeted Joon-seok before he even stepped in. The housekeepers ran around preparing his favorite dishes, while his grandparents sat in the living room watching — what else — their daily drama, Love of Enemies' Heirs.

"Oh, I love this part!" Grandma Han giggled. "The heirs just met at the airport and spilled coffee! How romantic!"

Grandfather Han laughed. "Ridiculous! Real life doesn't happen like that!"

Grandma while thinking about joon "he will also meet his destiny like this how romantic!"

The door opened.

"Grandpa, Grandma, I'm home."

They turned. Their jaws dropped.

"Oh my! Joon-seok, you did bring drama energy back from abroad!" Grandma said, pointing at his coffee-stained hoodie. "Why do you look like a character from that show?"

"It's a long story," he muttered, dragging his suitcase inside.

Meanwhile, at Yoo Villa, Ha-rin stepped in and was immediately hugged by her mother.

"My baby's home! How was your flight?"

"Good," Ha-rin said, forcing a smile. "Except some rude guy decided my suitcase was public property."

Her father looked up from his tablet. "Did you hit anyone?"

"No," she replied. "But I wanted to."

Grandfather Yoo shouted from the living room. "Ha-rin! Come watch this show with us — Love of Enemies' Heirs! You'll like it. Two heirs meet at the airport and hate each other immediately."

Ha-rin froze. "That's… oddly specific."

Grandmother Yoo chuckled. "Maybe you'll meet someone like that too, hmm?"

Ha-rin smiled awkwardly. "Yeah. Let's hope not. who will marry enemy's son "

And so, on the same night, under the same Seoul sky, both households laughed at the same drama — unaware that life had just written them into its script.

Two heirs, two companies, one airport collision — and not a single person outside their parents knew who they really were.

Fate had set the stage.

The comedy had begun.
