Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Preparing a Big Move

But today?

Eating one by one, chewing slowly and thoroughly.

The Pei Family didn't think Jiang Ran had changed her eating habits, they just thought Jiang Ran was holding back a big move.

Sure enough, she had only eaten half of her noodles when Jiang Ran couldn't hold it in any longer.

The Pei Family all stopped eating at once, looking at Jiang Ran with alert expressions.

Jiang Ran was staring at the bowl in front of her, suddenly feeling a burning gaze fixed on her.

When Jiang Ran looked up, she met the cautious expressions of the Pei Family.

Jiang Ran blinked, seeing everyone still staring at her motionlessly, and finally had to speak, "What are you all looking at me for? Eat!"

With that said, Jiang Ran picked up her chopsticks and started eating in large mouthfuls.

Jiang Ran decided not to go against her body's instincts.

Things like dieting can wait until she's full!

The Pei Family was waiting for Jiang Ran to pull off something big, but to their surprise, she just said that one sentence and went back to her noodles.

Everyone looked at each other, not understanding what was going on with Jiang Ran, but they snapped out of it and quickly finished the noodles in their bowls and stood up.

The Pei Family had just finished eating when Jiang Ran put down her chopsticks.

The porcelain bowl that was once full of noodles now only had a little bit of broth left.

After finishing that bowl of noodles, Jiang Ran's stomach was full, and her mind was working faster too.

Indeed, people can't function well when they're not full.

The original host hadn't lifted a finger in the Pei Family for years.

So, as soon as Jiang Ran finished eating and hadn't stood up yet, Pei Shanshan had already gathered the bowls and chopsticks.

Pei Shanshan took the dishes to the kitchen, and Pei Baoshan and Wang Cuilan returned to their room, probably for a nap.

Pei Yang also got up and left, nobody knew to do what.

After a while, only Jiang Ran and Pei Jing were left at the table.

The two of them were sitting directly across from each other. Jiang Ran stared at Pei Jing for a while and realized this child was genuinely good-looking.

Although she knew from the original host's memories that Pei Jing was very handsome.

But that was the memory of someone else, far less shocking than seeing it with her own eyes.

He was exceptionally good-looking, with delicate features, slightly long and wavy hair, and if his skin were even fairer, he'd look almost like a doll.

This was even prettier than some child stars Jiang Ran had seen before entering the book.

The more she looked, the more she liked him, so Jiang Ran simply waved at Pei Jing and smiled, "Little Jing, come here."

Pei Jing obediently got down from the bench and, with little steps, walked over to Jiang Ran.

Before Jiang Ran could say anything, Pei Jing's little hand had already reached into his shirt pocket.

When he took it out again, he had a small handful of peanuts in his hand.

Pei Jing was just over three years old, and he was thin, with tiny hands. His small handful of peanuts was at most five or six.

Seeing the peanuts, Jiang Ran was taken aback.

Why was he giving her peanuts?

"These are all I got, for you."

Pei Jing's voice was small, with a hint of fear.

Hearing this, memories automatically surfaced in Jiang Ran's mind.

Recalling those scenes, Jiang Ran finally understood why Pei Jing was giving her peanuts.

The original host could eat and loved to eat, but the Pei Family's food was limited, and apart from three meals a day, there was rarely anything else to eat.

If the original host wanted to eat more, she would wander around the house looking for food.
