But the crowd around the platform didn't seem to find anything strange at all with how they were dancing. They watched with appreciation, some swaying slightly to the strange music that sounded slow and upbeat at the same time.

The woman stepped backward, and the man followed, his hand sliding up her spine. She arched into the touch, her head falling back to expose the line of her throat. He dipped his head toward her neck, not quite touching, and I felt my breath catch.
Then he spun her outward, their fingers still linked even with their other arms extended. She twirled once, twice, and a few more times, and the red fabric of her dress flared beautifully around her legs.
When he pulled her back into his embrace, she collided with his chest, one hand landing over his heart while his arm wrapped around her waist.
