Chapter 144: The Shadow of Blackbeard
At the same time, on another relatively lively street on Jaya.
Luffy was standing in front of a restaurant, staring at the scene inside with ravenous hunger.
"Meat... so much meat! I finally found it!"

Standing beside her, Robin covered her lips and chuckled lightly, finding Ganyu's expression particularly amusing.
She thought for a moment and said warmly, "Knowing he's here is actually a good thing. At least we can go over and pay for him later."
"Mhm, this is just an ordinary restaurant." Ganyu nodded, feeling slightly relieved. "If it's just normal dining, Luffy shouldn't cause any trouble."
Just as her voice fell, her gaze suddenly shifted toward another direction down the street.
Ganyu's expression instantly darkened. The face that had just relaxed was once again clouded with annoyance.
"But the other guy... I don't know what the hell he is up to!!"
Robin followed her gaze, her expression turning serious. "Should we go help? He looks like he's surrounded."
Ganyu watched for a few seconds, but seeing that the people surrounding the green-haired swordsman were just a group of ordinary pirates, she stopped worrying.
"Ignore him."
She shook her head and continued, "Aside from one person who 'might appear' on this island, there is almost no one here who poses a threat to him right now."
"Oh?" Robin paused, asking curiously, "Who are you referring to?"
"Blackbeard. A man who, in a certain sense, is even more dangerous than Crocodile."
In the original timeline, Blackbeard had planned to capture the rookie pirate Luffy—whose bounty exceeded 100 million—to secure a position as a Warlord of the Sea. However, he was stopped by Ace, who had rushed to the scene.
If the plot hadn't changed, it was highly likely that Blackbeard and his crew were on this very island right now.
Therefore, a significant reason Ganyu had brought Robin along was to investigate whether Blackbeard was present. At the current stage, apart from herself, no one else in the Straw Hat Pirates had the strength to resist the Blackbeard Pirates.
"It's him? The traitor of the Whitebeard Pirates? Why would he be on this island...?" Robin exclaimed softly.
She naturally knew what that name represented.
