Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 - Trapped

"Who are you?" asked Albert, hiding his sleeping charm behind his coat.

Zavi, Albert, and their two companion stared warily at the people in front of them, two men and two women, each wearing white shirts and black trousers.

They looked back simultaneously, not answering Albert's question. The atmosphere

around the street became silent, the night wind still blowing strongly as if signalling a battle.

The mysterious people looked at each other, and the one standing on the right gave a command with his fingers accompanied by a glance.

Snap...

The sound of clenched fingers was heard, and the four of them moved simultaneously to escape—through a narrow road leading to a wide area with tall, shady trees, a river, and a steep ravine.

"The amulet sleeps in a beautiful dream." Albert pointed the amulet a few inches from his face before throwing it forward.

Wush... The amulet shot like a bullet through the air and stuck with precision to the white shirt of one of the women running behind her friends.

"What is this...?" The woman whispered in panic, feeling something spinning in her head.

She felt as if her body was being absorbed by something indescribable, and a few seconds after feeling that, her consciousness began to fade.

The woman's body collapsed, both her hands stretched out in front of her and her body lying face down on the rocky road, her forehead slightly scratched, and now she was trapped in a dream world with no time limit, unless the amulet was removed from her body.

Her three friends stopped simultaneously, turning their heads and widening their eyes as they realised that their friend had been affected by the magical power cast by the people they had encountered earlier.

"Damn it..." the two men cursed angrily.

Not wanting the four mysterious people to escape, and each of them eager to interrogate them further, Albert ordered his two friends to move immediately and secure the woman.

"Feyne and Luke." Albert grinned, looking at them both.

Feyne growled in annoyance and said in a listless tone, "All right, honourable Mr Hammond."

They immediately moved forward to capture the person under the influence of the limitless beautiful dream sleep charm.

Meanwhile, when Albert turned to his right, he was surprised to see Zavi had already moved forward first. He shook his head, saying with a smile, "Huh? I couldn't stop his actions either."

Albert decided to follow his three friends who were already ahead of him. He thought maybe he had caught the wrong person, but instinctively he knew that these four people were the ones he had been looking for the previous three days.

"I don't know if they're really going to destroy everything in Moran. That would be terrible," thought Albert, preparing to take the silver revolver out of his pocket.

On the other hand, the black-haired woman wearing a headband stared at her friend's body lying on the cold pavement with sparkling blue eyes and a frightened expression, having lost someone.

"So, do we need to take Mitsu?" she asked anxiously, turning back to look at her two friends who were confused about what to do next.

"It would be bad if we got caught," said the man with messy black hair who stood in front of his two friends.

One of the men stood in the middle, breathing calmly, knowing that Zavi, Albert, and the other two were almost there and would catch him.

"Stay here!" The man immediately approached Mitsu, who was sleeping not far from where he stood.

"What are you doing? Damn you, Moreira..." said the man with messy black hair, some strands covering his face, unable to believe his reckless actions.

Upon arriving, Moreira immediately lifted Mitsu's body.

"What is this?" he said in surprise, feeling a cold sensation on his back.

And... Finally, Moreira decided to continue on his way, taking Mitsu to his two friends and carrying out his final plan.

The plan was to hold off the four men so that his three friends could escape from here, and if the plan went according to his thoughts, Moreira would immediately use the breaking relic he had just bought from the black market a few days ago.

"Take him and run as fast as you can," said Moreira, handing Mitsu over to the man with messy black hair. "I can probably only hold them off for a few minutes, and I'm not sure if any of them have supernatural abilities?"

"One more thing, be careful of the man with black hair and brown eyes."

Both nodded, turned, and followed Moreira's instructions to flee to what he believed was a safe place: a dense forest with tall trees, dark conditions, and steep slopes.

Moreira glanced at his friend, watching him from a distance, thinking he might not return.

"I'm sorry if I don't come back," he whispered, his expression turning serious in an instant.

Zavi, Albert, Feyne, and Luke finally arrived. Unbeknownst to them, they had been manipulated by a mysterious figure who had been watching them since they met until this very moment.

Albert and Zavi were thinking the same thing. Losing the other three could change the situation and make the plan different from what they had imagined.

"Be careful. He must be hiding something," said Albert, furrowing his brow and preparing to draw his revolver.

Then, after exchanging glances, Zavi first checked the surroundings, making sure there was no one else nearby who might be hit by a bullet or disturbed by the sound of gunfire, but that was impossible.

After confirming that, he took a deep breath, and suddenly something strange crossed his mind.

'Where is Carlz now?' thought Zavi, smiling slightly, realising that the road ahead led to an area of tall, dark trees.

A few seconds later, the situation suddenly changed 90 degrees. Unconsciously. Zavi had previously come here to monitor the movements of the Conwuqoam sect members who were in disguise.

And also his encounter with the strange creature earlier and those four people was a plan that had been devised by them.

"Good, good. Do you five want to play with us?" said a man dressed in a robe with a deep voice, his face hidden behind the hood of his robe, and also because he was on the roof of the house.

And... From below, Zavi, Albert, Feyne, Luke, and Moreira were confused after hearing that voice. Looking up, they were surprised to see about ten people dressed alike, each staring at them with piercing gazes.

"Who are those people? Are they your friends?" asked Moreira in surprise.

Stupid... How could I have friends like them who treat others however they please?

Zavi thought angrily.

He slowly took a brown pistol out of his coat pocket, intending to kill the group of cloaked figures before they killed his mother and him.

But, just as he drew his pistol. From behind, one of the robed figures noticed Zavi's suspicious movements earlier and decided to jump down, standing directly behind him and immediately kicking him in the groin with his foot.

"Ah..." Zavi exclaimed in disbelief, holding back the pain and turning his head before he completely collapsed onto the rocky road.
