After waiting for so long, Liam fell asleep lying on his back on the sofa...
21 October. Sunday. 7:30 a.m.
Even Isabelle, who had left at 7:00 a.m., was unaware of Liam's presence in the living room.
By chance, his mother walked into the living room to retrieve her bag, which was hanging there. But to her surprise, she saw her son sound asleep on the sofa.
As she tried to wake Liam, her foot seemed to step on something. She glanced down and saw a wooden door underfoot. Because it had floral carvings, she knew that door belonged in her son's room, Ren's.
Confused, she gently woke Liam up. "Wake up, son. Did you stay up late again last night?" She shook Liam's body.
Feeling something touch him, Liam slowly opened his eyes, catching a glimpse of light on the ceiling.
Liam tried to get up even though his neck suddenly hurt. Maybe it was because he slept in the wrong position. He didn't know, and tried to get up despite hiding the pain from his mother.
"What time is it, Mum?" he asked, yawning.
His mother took out her pocket watch, looked at it briefly and said, "It's 7:35," while holding the watch in front of Liam's face.
Liam immediately took the watch and looked at it briefly. Realising he had been asleep for an hour, he immediately returned the watch, stood up and decided to have breakfast.
His mother smiled at her son's behaviour. As she turned around, she realised she had forgotten to ask why Ren's bedroom door was in the living room.
"Zavi... Have you been fighting with your brother again?" she shouted, her voice filled with concern.
From the kitchen to the left of the living room, Liam peeked out from the doorway and replied, "No, the door is broken. I want to fix it and install it myself..."
"All right... don't do anything reckless, okay? And don't forget to ask someone else for help."
After that, his mother lifted the door, even though it was a little difficult. She placed it in front of the bookcase, and then she left the house, heading to the market...
In one of the rooms, which contained a kitchen and dining room combined, Liam was sitting on a chair, staring at the dining table filled with delicious food.
Without hesitation, he immediately ate the delicious dishes, which he had never tasted on Earth before. At exactly 8:00 a.m... He finished eating, took the dirty plate to the sink, washed it clean, and put it back on the shelf.
His breathing and stomach were calmer than before. He stepped out, into the living room, and lifted the door back into his sister's room.
After putting it back, he looked for tools to fix it in the storage room. When the storage room door opened, the first thing that greeted him was dust flying into his face.
It made Liam cough because the dust entered his respiratory tract. Just by looking at it, he could tell that this storage room had never been entered until today, and had never been cleaned by his family.
"Are the tools here?" he muttered softly.
After searching for a long time, Liam found a hammer, screwdriver, chisel, and sandpaper in a box on a large shelf. He immediately took them, checked them, and finally brought the box to his room, Ren.
Liam held the door and repaired it himself. Despite the difficulty, he persisted. Twenty-five minutes had passed, and the door was back in place as before.
Finally, he could breathe a sigh of relief, as his previous actions might have aroused some suspicion. The door to Ren's room had been locked with a new key.
Liam returned the box to the warehouse shelf. Afterwards, he walked to the bathroom to wash his dirty hands. He returned to his room because there was nothing else he wanted to do.
But after entering the room, he glanced at the table. A notebook lay there, open, and Liam immediately remembered what he had written the night before.
Panicked, he hurriedly opened his wardrobe, grabbed his black coat and put it on immediately. He left his room and locked the door.
The key was safely tucked into the pocket of his black coat. He took a deep breath and walked towards the library on Road 01.
Liam walked calmly along the pavement, watching several people going about their business. On the other side of the cobbled street, he saw several horse-drawn carriages passing by.
His gaze was fixed straight ahead, focused on his steps so as not to bump into anyone. A few seconds later, he was about to turn onto Street 01, not far from where he was walking, on the left.
As he turned, he caught a glimpse of someone reading a newspaper and also watching him.
"Huh?" Liam walked faster than before, wanting to enter the library, which was only a few steps away.
The large library in the city of Moran. Liam wanted to find out information about every continent, including the location of his current residence.
Because earlier, when he was sleeping this morning or the night before, he had a dream about Zavi's terrifying death. Liam chose to hide his fear, acting normal and deciding to investigate on his own.
He stood staring at the open iron gate, watching several elderly people, teenagers, and young children crossing and about to enter the library.
The library was very spacious. It had a fountain in the middle of the road and beautiful gardens surrounding each building.
As he crossed the gate, Liam was greeted by two guards who encouraged others, including himself, to read properly.
Liam smiled at the two guards and continued walking towards the main entrance of the library. Upon entering, the first thing that greeted him was a large lamp hanging above.
He moved to the left to look for a shelf with information. After searching for a while, he found the right book to read.
But, after only ten seconds of reading, he was startled by a cold voice that pierced his ears. His body reflexively froze and he turned to the side, staring at a man and a woman.
"So you're here, Zavi," muttered Leo, his former classmate.
Liam paused for a moment and asked, "What are you two doing looking for me?"
"No, when we were about to enter the library, Leo accidentally saw you. So he decided to say hello because he hadn't seen you in a long time," replied Forn, the woman with black hair tied back.
Liam chuckled afterwards, acting like a friend. The meeting was very brief, and Liam chose to say goodbye. But of course, the two of them didn't let him leave just like that.
Instead, they invited Liam to go relax somewhere. It had been about two and a half years since they had last seen each other.
Being constantly pressured by the two of them to follow them made Liam feel uneasy. He walked away, leaving his two friends looking a little disappointed.
Liam stopped in his tracks, turning back to see the pained expressions on their faces. He sighed deeply and said with a heavy heart,
"All right, all right. When will we go for a walk?" he asked curiously, and then saw their faces return to normal.
They both approached Liam, and Leo whispered to him to tell him the exact location, which was certainly very pleasant.
Liam nodded, pausing for a moment to remember the location mentioned. After that, they both said goodbye and reminded Liam not to be late to the meeting point.
"Yes, alright," he replied with a flat expression.
From a distance, Liam watched his friends' backs as they exited the main library door. He walked towards the shelf where the book he had been reading was, and read it again until he finished.
