The second Sally disappears upstairs with Warren, I yank the intel file from my jacket where I'd shoved it during the pack meeting. My hands shake slightly as I spread it across the kitchen island, keeping the photos contained in case she comes back down. Tonight isn't the time to burden her with this mess, not after watching her face down an entire pack of skeptical wolves with nothing but quiet determination.

The first photograph hits me like a physical blow. Sally in white, radiant and hopeful in a way I've never seen her. The dress is simple but stunning, clinging to curves that make my mouth go dry even now. Her dark hair is swept up with loose tendrils framing her face, and sunlight from the church windows makes her skin glow. She looks so damn young, so full of faith in the future.
