Sandy's POV
For a fleeting second, I considered pushing him away. Zayden might still be lurking just beyond the door, close enough to hear every sound Charles was drawing from my lips.
But that hesitation vanished the instant Charles moved his hand from my mouth and tugged down the lace of my bra, his lips finding the faded canine marks on my skin.
My vision went white. Every muscle in my body tensed as a desperate sound escaped my throat.
The electrical current that once danced along those marks had weakened to almost nothing. Yet his heated mouth and the gentle sweep of his tongue across that sensitive flesh ignited something wild inside me.
I felt weightless, as though I was suspended between reality and some fevered dream.
My fingers tangled in his dark hair, tugging desperately. Part of me wanted to escape this overwhelming sensation, but a larger part craved more. I needed him closer, needed to feel him completely, to prove this wasn't just another cruel fantasy.
