Charles's POV
Those eyes haunted every waking moment of my existence. Even now, blazing with fury, they pulled at something deep inside me. The urge to silence her protests with my mouth was almost overwhelming.
I forced myself to step back before I could fall into her trap again.
She remained motionless, watching me with those damn eyes. Her naked form shivered against the restraints, chest rising and falling with each ragged breath of indignation.
"Once Grey delivers what I need, I might consider sparing your new family. Your brothers could walk away from this." I kept my voice steady, controlled. "But you, Sandy. You'll never taste freedom again."
I turned my back on her and walked away before I could do something I'd regret.
Fire coursed through my veins like molten metal. Every second felt like torture, every breath a struggle against the beast clawing at my insides.
