Saruto left, abandoning Lucian on the battlefield, resentful of the headmaster's intervention. The only topic of conversation at the academy was the fight between the new student in the Advanced Class and Lucian, the Ice Heir. The students whispered rumors: "They say he managed to break through Lucian's defenses!"
"Impossible! The headmaster stopped the fight. If Lucian had continued, he would have won."
"No, I saw it with my own eyes. That boy was hiding his strength!"
Even the students from the other seven families, who didn't usually pay much attention to the public, began to wonder, "Who is this boy?"
After the morning classes ended, the teacher announced the assignment of the communal rooms: "Two students per room. We arranged this to encourage competition among you."
The headmaster handed each Advanced Class student a key with their room number on it. Lucian went to check his room and see who his partner was. The door to the communal room opened, and there sat Saruto, reading a book, his violet eyes shining calmly.
At that very moment, Lucien's smile froze, and the room filled with a clash of energy. The air trembled, the bookshelves shook, and the windowpanes crackled. Their auras exploded simultaneously. "What are you doing here?!" they both demanded at once.
Lucien stepped closer, his eyes blazing. "I can't believe I'm sharing a room with you... you idiot."
Saruto replied coldly, his voice low but piercing Lucien's heart. "As if I'd want to share this room with a weakling like you. Get out of my sight. I don't want to see your face."
Lucien shouted, "Who do you mean by 'weak,' you vile commoner?"
A new spark of conflict ignited in the room. Before things could escalate further, there was a knock at the door. A girl with purple hair and a serene smile appeared. It was Princess Star. "Oh dear... have you started fighting on your first day as roommates?" she said. "Anyway, the Director wants to see you both in his office."
