The next day I call up Ms Parker and tell her I'm ready to go. I said bye to family and head to the airport and board her jet.
"Heyyyy Ms Parker"
"You alright Jay?"
"Shiiit never been better, why?"
"I don't know your energy seems different…. Like more positive and happy"
"Huh…. Maybe because I'm finally ready to move on"
I put on the ray ban glasses I got from the mall
"So where to Ms Parker?"
"Ohhh I think I'm going to like the new you.. we're heading to Japan, got an important meeting with a crime family over there, trying to start a partnership"
"Ooooo let me guess drugs? Guns?"
"No more like assassin's"
"Ohh…. Well shit"
"It'll be alright just stand by my side, look tough and let me do all the talking. Easy peasy"
I pour myself a glass of Hennessy
"Let's fucking do it, Japan here we come!"
"You ever been to Japan"
"I've barely even been out of the country, Mexico is the farthest I've been and that's barely over the border"
"See I told you… new experiences Jay, new experiences"
After hours and hours on a plane we finally arrive in Japan. We get in a limo and head to a compound where the meeting is going to be held.
"Alright Jay remember what I said, just stand there and I'll do all the talking"
"Got you"
The meeting starts, everyone is speaking Japanese and I have no idea what the fuck is going on. After a few minutes an old man who's the head of the family looks at me and points, saying something in Japanese to Ms Parker.
"Uhhh what's going on"
"He said he doesn't like the way you're staring at everyone"
"What?!? I'm just standing here looking around because I have no idea what the fuck is being said"
He continues and gets louder
"What's he saying now"
"He said it feels like you're disrespecting them"
"You've got to be fucking kidding me?!?"
He continues and then gives a smirk
"What's he saying now"
Ms Parker sighs
"He said if I want this partnership to happen, he wants you to fight his best warrior, bare knuckle in the combat arena"
"Ain't no fucking way… what the fuck is this mortal kombat, I ain't doing it"
"We don't have a choice Jay, if we refuse they will not only end the partnership but they'll kill us both"
"Oh so I'm fucked either way"
"Come on you're like 6'3 and buff as hell you can do it"
"Yeah and that guy they're going to bring out is probably 5'4 and can break every bone in my body"
"You'll be fine"
They take me into a room and wrap my hands, then they lead us down into the arena, where a mma cage is in the middle.
I step into the cage and wait for the guy they picked for me to fight. I look around and Ms Parker gives me a thumbs up. I just shake my head and see the guy walk into a cage, exactly what I said a 5'4 guy. The bell rings and I walk towards the middle, the guy jumps up and drop kicks me.
"What the fuck just happened"
I hear Ms Parker yell out
"That's alright Jay… just a lucky hit, you can get up now"
Oh yeah we're fucked
I get up and the guy is on me again hitting me from every angle. I get knocked down again and hear everyone cheering, I look up and see the guy celebrating. I get up fast and tackle him down, hitting him over and over, letting all my anger out from the past few weeks. Screaming with every punch thrown, he kicks me off and tries to recover, I grab him and thrown him into the cage and continue to throw punch after punch, blood going everywhere, seeing him wobbly against the cage. I keep going not stopping, pretending I'm hitting Reyes and going for the kill until someone steps in and stops me from doing so. The fighter is carried out by two other guys and the old man from earlier stands up.
"Jay is it?"
"Yeah… wait you speak English?!?"
"Yes. You have won our partnership with your warrior spirit…. but a word of advice, learn to control your anger just a little, you almost killed my nephew"
"Yeah sorry about that, I definitely will!"
Ms Parker runs up to me smiling and goes for a hug
"Yeah I don't think you want blood all over your dress"
"Oh yeah forgot but that was so crazy, thank you so much. I'm glad I hired you"
"Yeah you better be glad"
"We're celebrating tonight, the family invited us to one of their clubs to party"
"Is it an actual club or is it a strip club"
"An actual club Jay"
"Alright well can I go shower and get this blood off me"
We head back to the hotel and I shower and get dressed before heading down to the limo. A half hour drive later and we're at a crazy packed nightclub
"Damn this is the place?"
"Yup, now Jay stick with me still but enjoy yourself"
"Got you"
We walk into the club and head to a VIP section with some of the family members from earlier. I'm nervous heading in but they all come up to me and hand me shots and we party all night. I guess Japan ain't too bad.
