A couple months go by since Mr. Reyes showed back up, everything has been going good so far, him and Eli have started connecting more and more and their relationship is going great. A few minutes go by and the doctor pulls out our son

We laugh and I look at my son, wondering what these next few years are going to be like.
Just then Mr. Reyes walks in
"I came when as soon as I heard the baby was born"
He walks over and looks at him and smiles
"He looks just like you Jay"

"This boy is going to be the future with the right guidance"
I side eye Mr. Reyes and think what does he even mean by that, is he saying I'm not the right person to guide him in life?
