(Cyrus's POV)
How the fuck do these Pirates with Devil Fruits do it? To constantly be surrounded by their weakness at all times. It is unnerving; they really risk drowning for whatever it is they do. One mistake and it's all over.
I was leaning against the railing, looking down at the water below us, "Hm...." I said as I felt the ship swaying as the crew was working around the deck, "Fucking seawater."
We had been at sea for a day, making our way towards Braavos. The crew of this ship was quite the rowdy one, constantly swearing and fighting. The captain was always hurling insults at them, but they were working together to do their duties.
I don't doubt that the reason this ship hasn't sunk is because of how good the crew was. But it doesn't change the fact that it needed work, I mean, there were loose planks on the deck, for crying out loud.
"My Lord." I heard Mira call out to me
I turned to see her walking up to me, holding a cup of what I assume was rum. She was offering it to me as she had a slight smile on her face.
I took it into my hands, "What is it?"
"You've been spending an awful amount of time out here." She said as she stood next to me, looking at the waters, "I believe it is better to spend the voyage inside, where we are not a hindrance to the crew."
I shrugged, "It's too boring in there." I said as I took a sip from the rum, grimacing at its taste, "This tastes like shit."
"Well, it is all there is." she chuckled, "These men don't believe in proper Dornish Wine."
"Hm." I said as I looked ahead, "What else is there to do in Braavos?"
"Aside from acquiring funds from the Bank?" She asked, "Not much. There are a few sisters of mine gathering followers, but aside from that, there is not much."
I nodded, "Tell me what else is there to know about Braavos." I said, "What should I expect?"
"It is arguably the most wonderful of the Free Cities." She said with a smile, "With a vast amount of wealth and beautiful people. They are kind and free-spirited, they love to sing."
"Hm." I said
"But that is not what you mean." She said, "You mean the dangers."
I nodded, "That is right."
"Well, I don't think we would be in any danger." She said as she peered ahead, "But if we were to be, I would say that it is themwe should keep an eye on."
"Them?" I raised an eyebrow
"The Faceless Men." She said as she looked at me, "I don't know much about them, other than that they are secretive assassins."
"Assassins." I said, "Great."
"They worship a different god." She said, "That is all I know."
"Well, let's hope we don't deal with them." I said, "I don't want to deal with a headache like that."
"If that is what you wish." She said, "Mayhaps we should head back inside. It looks like we are entering a storm."
I looked up to see that there were large dark clouds in the sky, and the sound of thunder was heard throughout the air.
"Alright." I said as I turned around and headed towards the door, followed by Mira
"If My Lord wishes to relax." She said as we walked, "I can help you with that."
I shook my head, "There's no need for that." I said, "Not now at least."
She chuckled, "Very well."

I opened my eyes as I heard shouting outside, "What?" I said as I sat up on the hammock, "What's going on?"
The door to the room I was in opened and Erys looked at me, "Pirates, My Lord!!" He said, "We've been boarded by pirates!"
"Pirates?" I said as I got off the hammock, "You're joking. Where's Mira?"
"I thought she was here." He looked around
I stood in front of him, closing my eyes and focusing my newfound Observation Haki. I could hear the shouting voices above deck, the stampeding footsteps as well. I heard the clashing of steel and the cutting of flesh. The pirates were attacking the crew up above and they were winning.
I also heard Mira's voice, above on the deck, near the mast. I could hear someone breathing on her ear as her own breathing was a bit labored.
"You're making a big mistake." I could hear her say
I opened my eyes, "Grab a weapon." I told Erys, "We're fighting back."
I rushed past him, making my way up the stairs that led to the corridor towards the door. I ran towards the door and opened it, walking out onto the deck. I saw several men fighting the crew of the ship; some of them were cutting them down with their weapons. The sky above was still grey, having just been finished with a storm.
I ran towards the nearest pirate, grabbing him by the shirt and flinging him overboard, his screams filled the air as I looked to the others. I saw as Mira was being dragged towards the other side of the ship, where there were wooden boards that led to a different ship. They were trying to kidnap her, seeing as that she was a woman.
I spat on the ground, "Get down!" I shouted to the crew, "Now!"
All of them looked at me and didn't hesitate to throw themselves at the floor. The moment they did so, I pointed my finger guns at the pirates.
"Fire Gun"
Multiple flame projectiles flew across the deck, hitting several pirates and taking them down as the impact created a small combustion. They all collapsed and writhed in pain as the other pirate, who was holding Mira was getting on the boards.
"M-My Lord!" She cried out for help
I ran towards him, jumping up and landing on the boards.
"What?!" He exclaimed
I grabbed him by the face, activating my flames and searing his flesh. This caused him to let go of Mira, but she tripped and nearly fell into the waters below. I was able to grab her arm, keeping her from falling, and I let go of the man's face.
"A-Agghh!!" He fell to the waters below,
I lifted Mira up and wrapped my arm around her waist, keeping her close to me.
"Tch, fucking Pirates...." I grumbled as I looked to the other ship
There were more of them on their deck, holding their swords as they began to cross the other boards.
I waved my free hand towards them, spreading floating red embers that covered the area. I then jumped back onto our ship as Mira pressed herself against me.
"Embers"
The embers then glowed brightly, combusting into flames and burning the pirates, causing most of them to fall down to the waters.
I looked over to the captain, who was on his stomach, groaning in pain.
"Pull the ship away!" I shouted at him, "Now!!"
I let go of Mira, who stumbled to the ground.
"Ah...." She said
"Are you alright?" I asked
She nodded, "Yes...."
I saw as our men were rushing out, weapons in their hands and attacking any pirate that crossed over. I then saw someone on the helm, turning the wheel and steering the ship away as the pirates were shouting in their own ship.
"You won't get away!!" one of them shouted
I stood on the railing of our ship and reared my fist back, our ship slowly getting further away from them.
I swung my fist forward, firing a column of flames at the ship.
"Fire Fist"
The column hit the ship and caused an explosion, panicked shouts filled the air as the flames erupted violently and engulfed the ship.
"What the fuck?!" the captain of the ship exclaimed as I jumped back to the deck, "What are you?!"
I watched as the ship was caught on fire, slowly sinking into the waters as it was engulfed in flames and smoke.
"Hm....." I said with a scowl,
"Fucking pirates...."
