(Third Person POV)
"It is quite obvious that the Snake is pulling strings now." Torys said, "To think that his influence is this great. He was able to sneak in assassins to the Red Keep."
Cyrus and his group were in the City; Mira told him that she would ask around to find out what people knew. It was around an hour or two since the assassination attempt, and King Jaehaerys shut down the entire Red Keep, only allowing them to leave. It was not an incident that the Crown was going to be lenient about.
"Essos." Cyrus said as he was sitting down on the steps of a building, some wooden scaffolding above him, "The one that I let live was taken prisoner by Jaehaerys."
"I am surprised that you didn't take him, My Lord." Torys said
"Let the Royals deal with him. I am sure they have their torturers." Cyrus said, "Not only that, he could be bait. If the Snake has means to sneak men into the Red Keep, he could be capable of sending someone to shut that one up forever."
"He is bait." Torys said
"Yes." Cyrus said
"But wouldn't you want to know what he has to say?" Torys asked, "I am afraid I do not understand."
"Sending that many men to the Castle of all places.....it means that they were expendable." Cyrus said as he had his arms crossed, "Which tells me that whoever is backing this crimelord has the resources to hire more men. Men are merely meatshield, fodder that can be sacrificed. When facing something they don't understand, an idiot's first instinct is to keep at it until he gets results."
"What do you mean?" Torys asked, still confused
"Where is the Priestess?" Cyrus asked as he noticed the wooden scaffolding creaking
"Erys and the others are escorting her around the city." Torys told him, "She has her own way of getting people to talk, to persuade them using words. Sooner or later, she will get results."
"Good." Cyrus said, "Step back around 10 meters."
"Pardon?" Torys said
Cyrus scowled, "Now."
Torys stepped back, and he suddenly saw three men on the scaffolding, pulling out shortbows and firing arrows at Cyrus. The arrows passed right through his body, which sprouted flames. Just like the Red Keep, the arrows hit the ground and crumbled as they were completely charred.
Cyrus scowled, "Just how many times do I have to deal with assassins today?" He said, "It won't end until that fucker is dead, right?"
One of the men widened his eyes in shock, "What?!"
Cyrus stood up and flames surrounded him on the ground, the heat emanating from them hit Torys in the face, causing him to flinch.
"My Lord!" He exclaimed
"Flame Commandment"
"Visualize it....what you know...and bring it forth." Cyrus said, flames coming out of his arm as he waved it in front of him as he crouched down, "His moves, replicate them."
Suddenly, a massive pillar of flames erupted from where he was, hitting the scaffolding and engulfing the assassins.
"Flame Pillar!!"
"Agghh!!" they shouted in pain as the entire scaffolding burst into flames
The burning debris hit the ground as they fell, their entire bodies set ablaze. One of them wasn't fully engulfed in the flames, only his right side was burned. He was writhing on the ground, yelling out in pain.
"How many assassins will the fucker throw at me?" Cyrus emerged from the flames, siphoning all of them into his body, "I'm growing tired. It is time he shows himself, to face me like a man."
"Y-You...." the assassin said as Cyrus stepped on his stomach, "Arghh!"
Cyrus glared at him, "Tell me where he is."
"Never!" the assassin said, "I won't tell you shit."
"You seem to misunderstand." Cyrus said, a menacing look in his eye, "You don't get to decide what you won't tell me."
Cyrus leg began to glow, turning into pure fire as the bottom of his foot began to sink slowly into the man's stomach. The smell of burning flesh filled the air, causing the man to shout in agonizing pain.
"AHHHHH!!!" the assassin cried out, "ARGHH!!!"
"It's quite painful you know." Cyrus said, "For your insides to be scorched. I do wonder how long you'll last till you draw your last breath."
"ARrghh!!!" the man began to cry, "S-Stop it!!"
"I can make the pain go away." Cyrus said as he pressed harder, "Just tell me where he is. I am growing impatient."
"D-Docks!!" He shouted, "The docks!! He is about to leave for Essos!!"
"He's about to leave." Torys said, "My Lord, if we move now we can catch him."
Cyrus removed his foot off the man's stomach, "Do you want for the pain to stop?" He asked the assassin, "I can make it quick."
The man nodded frantically, "Yes."
Cyrus pointed his finger gun and fired it at his face, exploding his head with a flame projectile.
"M-My Lord.....!" Torys said with a shocked expression
Cyrus turned around, "Let's go." He said,
"We have to catch him!!"
**************
At the docks, Baelon Targaryen was making his way towards a ship that was being boarded.
"Make way!" He shouted as he was followed by some knights, "Do not let that ship set sail."
After interrogating the surviving assassin, it was discovered that the Snake was about to leave for Essos. He was described as a tall and skinny man with long brown hair and a massive scar running down his left eye.
Jaehaerys had sent Baelon to detain him, to which the Prince immediately rushed to the docks.
Just as he reached the ship, he noticed a group of sellswords that were in front of a man who fit the Snake's description.
"You!!" Baelon drew his sword, "Stop right there!"
The Sellswords drew their blades, "It's Prince Baelon!"
"Don't be foolish!" Baelon said as he approached them, "If you throw your weapons down, I will let you live. If you don't, then only the gods will decide your fate!!"
The Snake smirked, "You will let me go, Prince Baelon."
"Why would I do that?" Baelon frowned
"Because I have friends who your Father will not wage war against." The Snake smirked, his beady eye staring right at the Prince, "They require my presence in the Free Cities."
"Is that so?" Baelon said, "Such a shame, you will be spending the night in our Dungeon Cells."
"I don't think that will happen, hehehe...." the Snake said, "For you see-"
"Is he the one???" a voice said
They turned to see Cyrus pushing through the crowd of people, which took Baelon by surprise.
"You....!!" Baelon exclaimed
"Is he the Snake?!" Cyrus rushed towards
The Snake scowled, "Get him, you imbeciles!!" He shouted to his sellswords, "Don't let him get me!!"
"I take that as a yes!!" Cyrus said as he reared his right fist back, which was turning into pure flames, "Whatever you believe in, I hope there's a hell for you!!!"
"Dammit, don't!!!" Baelon shouted
"Fire Fist"
He swung his arm forward, firing a massive column of flames that engulfed the Snake and his sellswords. The attack completely set them ablaze, the column of flames fired past the dock and boiled a good portion of the waters right outside.
An explosion of flames erupted as Cyrus pulled back, seeing that there were charred corpses collapsing to their knees as the flames slowly subsided.
"Good." Cyrus said,
"I can be at ease now."
