Chapter 10 - Chapter 4: Heaven's Embassy part 1

(AN: So this is gonna be a fun episode because Adam is gonna meet Evelyn, and well, let's say a case of mistaken identity may happen for certain people)

{Hazbin Hotel 1 week later}

Charlie is seen sitting on her bed, looking at an old book telling the story of hell's creation and how her parents met as she gazes out her skyview window at the bustling city below, while her girlfriend, Vaggie, is seen conversing with a composed Evelyn who merely raises her hand and silences Vaggie's protest about taking Charlie to a meeting with heaven.

"Vaggie, I understand your worries, but you seem to forget that my sister isn't a helpless damsel and can very well hold her own. And I myself will be there. You have nothing to worry about because I'd never let anything hurt my sister. Yes, Charlie may seem naive, but when it comes to matters of royal duties, she has never acted less than expected from a princess of hell and as my Heir apparent."

Evelyn's words come out as blunt and harsh, but to Vaggie, they reassure her because, unlike the bubbly personality of her younger sister, Evelyn very much shows her power and uses it to maintain an iron fist in Pride's chaos. Especially with the King and Queen on Vacation for the past seven years, she is the known current Ruler of Pride, and everyone fears and respect her except the Vee's but almost everyone knows she can easily rid hell of them yet for some reason she allows their continued existence even if their power remains pitiful amongst the other overlords thanks to her strict policy and laws preventing them from freely intruding on the markets controlled by the royal family and its allied businesses.

"My sister's right, Vaggie. I know I may not always act like it around you and others, but I know when I need to not let kindness endanger my friends and others." Charlie stands up as she sets the book down and turns with an unusually serious expression not seen on her face. Vaggie seems slightly stunned at the way she changed moods and even personality. Evelyn smiles at seeing how much different Charlie is from canon with her interference, and also how hell itself isn't as brutal or chaotic due to her actively avoiding the pitfalls of canon and intervening in past events even altering the arrival of alastor in hell when she traveled to the human world and made a deal with him stopping rosie from it and gaining her own personal executioner though even she was unaware of where he went seven years ago much like canon.

 Yet when she asks him, he merely smiles and speaks about taking a break, which causes her to frown as she recalls his exact words. Charlie, noticing her sister's frown, asks worried, "Something bothering you, sis?" Evelyn, hearing her sister's concern, merely smiles and shakes her head, brushing her off. "No, just dreading having to deal with the heaven embassy again. They always have the most obnoxious angels as their representatives. And remember, Charlie, when we arrive, you do not say anything until I signal you because tensions have been high since this year's latest extermination." Evelyn speaks as if, according to her slightly hazy memories, today follows the show's canon. Adam and Lute will announce the move up of the exterminations after Carmilla Carmine killed one of their exorcists. Not that anyone except her and a select others know about it. She is still upset that she hadn't managed to find the angel's body to research it, having gained a rather sadistic interest in dissecting Sinners who dare to scheme against her and her family's control of hell.

"Anyway, we need to start heading to the embassy because I refuse to show up late and let those angelic scum get any ammunition against us." Having said that, Evelyn teleports herself and Charlie to the hotel lobby that is still under renovation after she had her teams begin fixing and upgrading the formerly rundown building. As construction continues, Angel Dust and Niffty are seen at the bar with Angel flirting with Husker like usual, meanwhile Husk seems especially tired of the two's antics as he chugs a bottle of booze.

Vaggie finally gets downstairs after taking the newly installed elevator and sees her girlfriend and her sister wearing immaculate suits with their royal crests on the side of their blazers, having worn the house colors of their family, which are red and white with hints of gold and black mixed in. Evelyn's hair is tied into a thick braid wrapped around her horns, which, unlike usual, are now curved into a twisted crown shape like a dragon's, giving her a more regal yet intimidating look. Charlie also has her hair styled into a tight updo as her bangs curl gently around her face, both sisters now looking far more professional and regal than their usual, less formal attire around the hotel.

"Now let's head out. I've already had Babel pull the limo up, and we should arrive on time perfectly, should nothing get in our way. Charlie, remember, let me do the talking unless otherwise stated, ok." Charlie nods, having grown up letting her sister handle diplomatic events and talks, even if she wishes to tell the heavenly ambassadors about her ideas, she knows her sister never tells her not to do something unless it's necessary or could endanger her.

 As the two sisters head to the awaiting limo, a worried Vaggie stares at them from the entryway with clear concern, even as Angel notices and tries in his usual way to distract her, having actually grown to enjoy being at the hotel and hanging out with its residents when not having to go into work due to his contract.

"Hey, toots, they'll be fine, that's the ruler of pride with her. Nothing's gonna happen to Charlie with Evelyn there." Angel's words calm down Vaggie, who, after seeing real improvement with Angel Dust, relaxes and asks Husk for a glass of water, which he hands her before catching Nifty, who was trying to sneak into his booze stash to set fire to the poor souls working on the hotel's repairs and upgrades.

"Thanks….You know, Angel, you really have changed since coming, and I'm glad…I know we haven't always gotten along, but thanks for sticking around and actually trying to get better." Angel genuinely looked shocked at Vaggie's words, but smiled lightly before covering it up by making a few sex jokes and returning to flirting with Husk. Meanwhile, in the limo, Evelyn is looking through documents on her Hellpad with a focused look while Charlie hums a new song she made under her breath. Evelyn sighs at another alert from the barrier teams about unauthorized entry into the living world, which they have been unable to track. Charlie, hearing this, turns and looks at her sister with a questioning look.

Evelyn, seeing this, merely smiles and shakes her head to brush off Charlie's concern as she sends a reply about handling it herself. (Hmmm, if I recall, there's another series that takes place here called Helluva Boss? What was it about again, something imp murder and a goetian prince? Oh, Stolas and Blitz! Damn, I am gonna have so much paperwork when I tackle that issue because Goetia and their hierarchy are fricking annoying, and if it is a grimoire being used, I might have to gather the other sins and dad to handle a trial about it.) Evelyn thinks as the limo pulls up outside the embassy, and the streets, once filled with sinner corpses, are now spotless as the cleaning teams have already removed the remains of the poor souls.

"Here we are now, Charlie. If we have time, I will allow you to explain your ideas, but only if the ambassador for this meeting is like the others and will understand your goals; otherwise, keep silent till the end." Despite saying that, Evelyn knows that if Charlie reveals her dreams, it would only result in Adam mocking her, which she will not allow at all. Both sisters exit the limo, and with a push, the doors open as they walk in. Evelyn, having done this many times, signs the registry as it floats away and signals Charlie to follow her into the meeting room.

As they walk in, the lights go on. Evelyn sees Adam and Lute standing while Adam himself stuffs his face with ribs, causing Evelyn to wrinkle her nose and mutter quietly. "Ugh, what a repulsive man," Evelyn glares as she looks at the overweight angel gorging on ribs at the head of the table while his companion stands covered in blood and gore from the recent slaughter, grossing both sisters out. Adam looks up and freezes before hearing Evelyn's words and tossing a rib aside as he tries to make himself look, in his opinion, more attractive.

 "Yep, that's Lilith right there, hey bitch, how's the cesspit?" Adam says having mistaken Evelyn for his ex-wife Lilith, whom he still isn't over, according to certain angelic sources, and having never seen The eldest Morningstar child assumes Evelyn is Lilith. Evelyn growls as her eyes flash red, and Charlie looks repulsed yet also angered at his words, but also confused at why he mistook her sister for their mother, as everyone knows her sister's appearance. "What did you call me? And It's Evelyn. Keep my mother's name out of your mouth, Adam." Evelyn's words cause Adam to do a double take and look at her closer, only to really be unable to tell the difference between Evelyn and his last sighting of Lilith.
