Ruby's POV
I was certain I had misheard him.
Had he actually just announced that I was his girlfriend?
Did he grasp the weight of those words? It meant we were committed. It meant this was exclusive.
But I believed he would never settle down with anyone.
The entire studio fell into complete silence.
From my peripheral vision, I could see everyone's mouths hanging wide open. Perfect circles of shock. Elias's declaration had stunned every person in the room.
"Well, this is quite unexpected," the host managed to say after what felt like an eternity of silence. "Alpha Elias, I believe this marks the first time you have ever publicly acknowledged being in a relationship."
"That's correct." Elias's fingers tightened around mine.
"Then Miss Ross must hold tremendous significance in your life."
"She does." The corner of his mouth lifted slightly. "And lately, I have become absolutely certain of one thing. I cannot envision my existence without her."
