Ruby's POV
"Unbelievable! You're doing this nonsense again!" Bonnie's voice cracked with fury as she stormed into the room. "Pointing fingers at me before you even know what happened? You have serious issues, Ruby."
But every fiber of my being screamed that she was guilty. Who else had motivation to see me six feet under?
"Tell me where you were tonight," I demanded, closing the distance between us.
She blinked hard, her anger flaring even brighter. "Are you out of your mind? You think you can interrogate me like some common criminal?"
I locked eyes with her, searching for any crack in her facade that might reveal the truth. "Innocent people don't dodge simple questions. So answer me."
